low test

Hello. I recently had two blood draws at 2 weeks apart for my testosterone levels. First one came up at 49. Second came up at 37. My doctor sent me in a script for androgen, the patch. Does anyone have any experience with this product? How it is dosed? Is it a worthwhile solution?

Thank you very much. Very informative. Yeah..no apply to ball sac was pretty funny.

patches and gels offer at best about a 200 point increase..pretty decent for 5% which is the strong stuff, but nothing like pinning. Also absorption can create some sort of skin irritation after long term use

Axiron, the underarm gel, put my levels at 650. Your doc will adjust you up or down. It is definitely better than nothing. Alot of people seem to start with the gels and patches and end up with the shots later down the road.

Thanks for the input. Do you happen to know how the patches are dosed? How long they stay on?

Not sure how the patches are dosed, but the doc offered them as an option to me also. I went with the gel instead. If I recall they are a slow release and would stay on for at least a few days at a time. Bloodwork from your doc will dial in your dosing for them.

I cannot speak for the patch, Androgel sux for simple fact you put it on under your arm and your body absorbs roughly 5%. I rather use cyponate or enanthate in a weekly shot myself. But in the end you achieve the same thing as long as bloods are drawn no matter what you use. It boils down to personal choice.
