Does everyone agree with the champ repeating? I thought dennis wolf should have been placed higher..calves though.

I'm wondering how on earth Branch Warren manages to even compete in the olympia, and even places well....Wtf is that all about lol.

I agree with you, Branch is awful. However, the conditioning of most competitors was total crap so they bumped him up.

I think Tony t pretty much nailed it on how it works. To beat the champ (phil) you would have to absolutely dominate but for what it was I enjoyed it. Everyone did their best and you can't knock a man for that. Me personally I've always been the guy who likes the lesser known or whatever you want to call it like William bonac I just like that guy

Phil won it, no doubt there unfortunately. But Dennis common, dude was bone dry, nice and full which was his downfall last year and why he got beat by Shawn, he was lean has hell. He just lacks calves so bad. He got screwed genetically with those high insertions. And his lower back could use some thickness. I guess looking at it from a total package persective dexter had him but Dex wasn't as hard looking or dry or lean, at the very least he should have beaten Shawn imo.

On another note big ramy placed very well. I thought due to politics he wouldn't have placed that high but he deserved it. 315lbs with a no massive gut, tiny waste. Dennis James wasn't giving the guy any credit when he was on stage. He's bitter ramy dropped him as his trainer.

Of Phil's 5 wins, this was his softest package. Kai missed a real opportunity.

Wolf was in the best condition his back had striations everywhere..shawn had a bloated gut ..phil looked consistent but if were between phil and dexter i go with dex he was just as thick but overall condition better than phil ...phil even looked alittle watery on sat compared to friday...its just like cutler vs ronnie there were a couple years jay was the better man but the reigning champion has to be way off for them to unseat him..biggest diappointment was ramy hes got the size he needs to just come in shredded he would be able to take it..if he came in 280- 290 ish he would be unreal

Dennis and rohden were fighting for 3rd and 4th the real fight was between Phil and dexter. Many forget dexter stole it from cutler cause cutler slept on him. He's also been on that stage 16 times. He has the most top 5 professional finishes out of any competitor to date also the most Arnold wins, and is the second oldest guy in the open class. An unlike everyone else he always comes in on point. He came in 15 lbs heavier then last years Olympia and came in just as hard as ever , he was 7 lbs heavier then the Arnold. Dexter is no joke and gets better with age. Phil won as he deserved but it wasn't by a lot and he knew it. He even said it was going to be tough and if he wasn't there dexter would win hands down.

I had Dexter for the win...all the way. It surprised the hell outta me when he didn't win.

I was also really impressed with Dennis. I didn't think Phil was that great but regardless, you keep letting the same guy win just waters down the whole event.

It goes like this. If the current Mr Olympia comes in on point and his rival comes in just as good the current Mr Olympia gets it. If its close he gets it. If he beats Phil a little Phil still wins. He has to be blown away to be beat. That's how it always has been with the Olympia.

I agree. I thought it should have been between dennis and rhoden. Both had really put together great physique's.
