Low T question
ad
I am 58 yrs old, have been running low t for close to 8 years. I get shots at the doctor in the US at a cost of $45 for 100mg of Propryonate or something like that. Would it be cheaper to buy it here and give the shots to myself? I'm sorry it's really hard to understand a lot of what is posted here. I do lift weights but am certainly not a body builder and I have never taken steroids but I need to save money if possible. Right now I have stopped the shots due to cost and I have to take a nap everyday due to tiredness.

I'm not currently on TRT but since Propionate is a relatively fast acting ester, I would be very surprised if your Endo is prescribing and injecting you every 2-3 days when Enanthate or Cypionate are generally preferred due to their relatively long half-life. More recently Testosterone Undecanoate is becoming more popular since a single injection can last approximately 3 months depending on your body's testosterone requirements and your baseline Test, meaning less injections for the same effect. It's not hard to understand a lot of what's posted here unless you want to ignore the facts and only seek out information that supports your point of view. Read widely, do your research - that's how you learn and can have a reasonable understanding of whatever condition is affecting you, and subsequently have a reasonable understanding of what actions your doctors are taking to deal with your condition.
So - this is your Q: "I get shots at the doctor in the US at a cost of $45 for 100mg of Propryonate or something like that. Would it be cheaper to buy it here and give the shots to myself?"
A: Since you don't even know about the Test you are supposedly being given - I would say - No. Don't buy anything here or inject yourself.
Thank you for all the replies. I go to a subsidized doctor's clinic based on income. While I make too much money to get a discount, I also can't afford to pay the bills there. I haven't had health insurance for 10 yrs and can't afford it. Meanwhile, by not getting the T shots, I am so tired I don't feel like moving. So, I lean toward getting the stuff from one of your sister sites and therefore bypass having to pay extra for bloodwork which I can't afford. I am living on the razor edge of staying out of bankruptcy so I don't want the added expenses that I am incurring by having to constantly get bloodwork from my local doctor.
First, there is no business relationship between eroids, (the review site), and the sources that are listed here. So, they are not "Sister Sites"
Second, You've made a poor choice. You should have at least TRIED to find a cheaper alternative through your doctor. Pharmaceutical companies also have programs that discount drugs to patients with low income or no insurance.
As an example, I had Hep C. Even though I make a comfortable income and with insurance, the drugs cost around $28,000 for the entire treatment. The doctor went to the drug company (Pegasus) and signed me up for their discount Program. -- I paid nothing for the treatment, not even a copay.
RustyhookerThen its not true here with age comes wisdom. Youre trolling and probaby 17.
Privatemdlabs for bloods.
Is that the best you got. If I was 17 why would I waste half a day trading messages with these guys.
I pity any 17 yr old who doesn't have better things to do and to even be aware of.
RustyhookerIt would seem that finding a review site and not reading or researching is odd. In just about every other forum someone is listing or posting places to get blood work at an affordable place with full security that the info gathered is solely yours.
Researching trt in our forums as well. I've learned a lot there on simply being safe and healthy.
17 year old pity. Youve not fully opened your eyes to what goes on in society to all age groups. Especially the kiddies that get loose in any community
perhaps -just like you- he is scared shitless on making the wrong choice and knows that he would not get help unless he was much older.
You should still get bloodwork using UGL test, even more so than genuine pharma test, as has been mentioned below, with UGL you don’t know for sure if it’s dosed correctly.
Can you do these tests with some kit that you can get here?
Not directly from here, but there are places you can order tests from yourself, some you take your own sample with a finger prick kit, others you go to them to have your sample taken. Someone from your country will have to chime in to point you in the right direction, or use the search (magnifying glass at the top of the page)
Nope.
You can do online ordering with labsmd.com.
But you still need to get them done.
Thanks for your concern. I will get labs done at leaast every 6 months
Will I need a US doctor to be involved to get the labs done? Sorry for so many questions.
Do you live in the us?
Can't advise for other other countries
Yes and I just got off the phone with walkinlab.com. I can save a bundle by doing my own shots and ordering from a sister site. Now I'm trying to load a CENSORED. I really appreciate the guys who have taken the time to help me today!!
Jazzy, the $45 at the pharmacy is not much different than what youll pay for black market testosterone.
Call your Dr and ask about doing your own shots at home.
The DR is the expensive part of TRT.
HAving low T does suck, and coming off of TRT sucks the worst. I hope you find a solution you can afford
I just looked at my bills. It's cypionate that I am using. And it cost me $40.60. So can somebody please tell where can I buy it that you guys trust?
I use Walgreens.
The only place you can truly trust is with a script from a pharmacy. When using for trt purposes that is what you need to use. Do you have insurance? With my insurance I pay like $30 for a bottle of cyp which lasts me like 5 months.
No, I don't have insurance. And I am already in debt due to these shots. That is why I am wanting to start injecting myself and bypassing going to the doctor. I currently owe $2900 to the provider for my bills from the last 13 months or so. Happy to upload the bills for the doubters.
First thing I would do is tell your doc you want to inject yourself. The big part of your cost is just the doctor visit. Sounds like you are going to one of those men's wellness clinics where all they do is soak you for as much money as they can. Hence why they have you coming in every week to have the doc do it. Most docs have you pin test cyp once every two weeks, not weekly and eventually they let you self inject. So if that is the case go to a real clinic and see your GP doc and he should get you on track to do your own shots and save you a boatload of money.
X2 as I mentioned below, the test is cheap, even pharma test bought from a pharmacy using a scrypt is cheap. Even without insurance it's cheap. You'll still only pay the same or slightly more than what you can get here.
What you get here: Expensive genuine pharma grade gear without a scrypt, less expensive UGL (underground lab) gear with questionable dosage and processing, outlaw status, unreliable life long source, no doctors advice, monitoring, and care.
According to GoodRx.com, the cost of 1 mL (200 mg/mL) of generic testosterone cypionate, runs about $12–$26. The testosterone label states that shots should be given every two to four weeks.
As you can see, going to your GP, as Makwa said, and getting a scrypt to self inject at home will cut your cost by about 75%.
I smell a troll.
Been a member for a month..
"I am 58 yrs old, have been running low t for close to 8 years. I get shots at the doctor in the US at a cost of $45 for 100mg of Propryonate"
"I have never taken steroids but I need to save money if possible."
.
Really?? ...... hummmm,.... Really??
My doctor prescribed Test Cyp, but has offered to substitute Test E,.......... but never Test P as it half life is to short for TRT. I pay approx $35 / vial (10ml of 200mg/ml) at a real brick and mortar pharmacy, but your story doesn't make sense.
You shouldn't fly into using gear blindly. Especiallly if you don't know anything about it! You do have the option of doing some research first and slowly getting involved.
It would be cheaper to get the doc to show you how to inject yourself. Don't ask him, tell him. Having you come in is just his way of getting money for an office visit. You need to continue with the doctor or you will lose your scrypt and the blood monitoring and care only the doctor can give you.
Are you insured? The copay should only be about $10 for 1 month (or 90 days if you can get it from an online pharmacy).
X2
This is the only answer needed, follow this advice and if there’s any other issues come back.
I can’t even say that I believe you. But to answer your question, yes.
The answer to the question is 'yes' it would be a lot cheaper to buy the Test through one of the good sources on here but whether its adviseable to do that over your doctor administering it to you when you have no real desire to start running steroids properly I can't say. I'm sure the more experienced guys will chime in soon....
