+ 1 I don't write product reviews because
ad
Let's get this going, I'm curious about the results. Thanks!
I don't write product reviews because
A product I want to review isn't listed
I didn't know that's even a thing on eroids
I don't care about product reviews
It's pointless, I do it when reviewing sources
Other reasons, see my comment

Through most of the drugs I assumed as they were listed by manufacturer, that they were polled/pulled for source reviews.
I can’t make a good excuse tbh. Last one I did was way back in the Big D days. Years and years ago. I stopped looking in that forum a while back when it used to get spammed and a lot of UGLs came and went and the gear wasn’t available any longer. Seemed like a bit of a wasted effort and maybe it was just me but I felt it wasn’t a fundamental section for a big chunk of time. Instead I spent most of my product research time in the lab section and in member profiles that I felt are reputable and combed all their recent reviews. The real life results using that method has done me solid and led me to quality gear at a real high success rate.
With that said , if there is a push to rekindle that section and spice things back up I’ll make sure and get a review in of this Var I’m currently using. The stuff is amazing.
BarrettCan't see what I type on this phone. I'm like an old fart with a toy he doesn't know how to play. I would Love to try to review some products but by the time I get done answering The three replies I get it would be a month later. Ha! This shit I'm on now made my nuts really tiny though.
Last review I did, some clown argued with me about me having to use the gear first. I even presented the eroids rules showing it doesn’t have to be used to submit a review and he stuck to his very wrong guns. I’m turned off by it now so I’ll never review again.
At the very top of the review guidelines you have to click past to write a review:
That said, in the product review section where BFG is talking about, how do you write a product review without trying the product?
I followed the rules in the General Rules imagining it would be consistent. But I guess not. The review asks about shipping and other aspects. But it’s ok. I’ll never write another review. I rather engage in the good convo and with some cool ppl.
I just counted 47 reviews in just shy of 13 years of my Eroids membership (less than 4 reviews per year average). Reviews are important for several reasons, both for consumers and businesses. IMO, reviews play a crucial role in the buying process, benefiting both members and sources by creating transparency, trust, and continuous improvement. Reviews are super important, and I’d encourage everyone so do them (for the right reasons, not just promos).
He’s asking about product reviews not source reviews. Like reviewing individual brand’s products.
Didn’t catch that thanks. Voted. (Didn’t know that was a thing)
That said, I just checked this out and my favorite lineup is not an option (Ballsack, SPUNK)
I wasnt sure how to and never got around to figuring it out. Also kinda thought it was a little redundant since Im reviewing both the product and the source essentially with the source review.
I see baboon pharma on there but no products for them. Also what if your using dragqueen pharma or naked for instance one that's not listed. How could you go about putting in a product review for that? There's also some blends that are missing from Uterus.
So was going to put up a review for a few products I've used, but many of them aren't listed.
One of the reasons for me is I find a source and stick with them. I'll leave a review sharing my overall experience of the times I've used their product, but don't leave multiple reviews. I'll jump on their source page every once and a while and give my opinion about their products and results I've had, or answer questions others might have. I do try and leave a review for a new source when I use one.
I hesitated writing this but fuck it.
I won’t because I’ve already had a source reach out about a non-5 Star review (still above 4.5) to see why it wasn’t a 5star when the reasons were in the post but just not in the correct section but reasonings were factual, and not over exaggerated. I’d prefer not to get bugged over one product being better than another past the source review because that source chose to go over my other posts and product reviews. Why chance dealing with that again?
It seems just as well to leave a note on the source discussion page or simply saying “awesome products.” Just something that lets them know you’re happy with the products without having to say what you thought was better or worse than another source subjectively or comparatively.
I know that by no means is this exclusive to this business but I don’t think I’ve ever had an illegal sourcer care about how their products are reviewed in a good light and still contact me about it not being 100%.
A greedy source, unreceptive to constructive criticism. Cares more about their rating than the actual quality of service and product. Your money is #1, your health comes second.
Then I have absolutely no idea why they’re in the spot they’re in, a lot of their most recent source discussions and reviews seem to state the same about their change. I chose to go through them as a first run on here knowing their prices were…on the higher end because of their ranking and stated advertising on the page but neither seemed to reflect my actual experience or subsequent experience.
I can take heat or lip, that’s part of life but you don’t have to put my face in the shit by sending the…question about the non 5star review in the message sent to them about a promo involvement that I did get accepted into without a tag.
It’s not subtle when your revive a 2month old concluded conversation with the title “Promo” to send your new question about why my review wasn’t 5stars…yes I’m aware I’m in your promo Jesus Christ…I definitely don’t see why this company is ranked at the literal top though.
Because most of the Betas out there comply with the guilt tripping PM and give them 5 stars. which wrecks the rating system for everyone --Sources and members.
You guys should take a star across the board for every "why aren't you my fanboy bitch, guilt tripping PM" sent to you. I'll guarantee those PMs will stop coming.
I mean I see the incentive, free $50 here and there never hurts and I won’t lie and say I had the required needs to join their promo to begin so I do appreciate that but it definitely made me realize that some sources do check on your activity and didn’t expect or like that and why I don’t want to post a product review.
It is what it is, plus it’s over with and not worth wasting Saturday morning quiet time, especially since I’m in trying to end the quiet and make some noise with the lady before my demon incarnate awakens..
Is there not some kind of system that can be put in place where this can be stopped from happening, or a way in which a member can inform you of getting these kind of PM's but without the member feeling the sources wrath as such? Because the problem is if a member receives a PM from a source interrogating them on why they haven't given 5 stars across the board, if the member reports it to you then you have to inform the source who has told you. The member is then aware of the fact that the source will not want them in any future promo's - so therefore the member simply keeps quiet about it all and the non-genuine reviews continue to go up.
You assume they have that power. Promo or not, they all want your business. YOU ALL have the power of the pocketbook. They will learn to be happy with what they get or get nothing at all.
The whole point of eroids was to put the power in the hands of the customer.
Sorry it took a minute.
I don’t question the method cause it’s the literal base of how business operates: Shop here until someone creates a better, different design, faster & cheaper made version of the original, etc. My concern is that from knowing the backend of black market sites going back to OG SilkRoad, if you have enough momentum it doesn’t matter if you’re scamming 1 out of 5 people, those 4/5th of the population that received theirs are gonna smash you until you stop commenting cause they didnt experience the same problem and most of the time don’t believe the person making the claim either.
It creates its own microcosm where it’s able to operate based on its large customer basis built over years with seemingly no real threat to their business model for an extended period of time. Like you said, only if they continually fuck up and press mentioned, the people they fuck up with have to choose to speak up so it can become apparent that this isn’t just a one off thing or that their rating isn’t actually reflective of their services and statements.
True and that selective scamming is what created eroids. 14 years ago, it was a completely different environment.
We don't win or help other members out by spoon feeding a source 5/5 reviews. Eroid members should hold their ground, sources are not going to start cutting everyone off. They will adjust to the new normal. eroid members have plenty reliable options. plenty of other sources want that number 1 spot.
I totally see that and I mean it’s easy for me to focus on like, what I’ve been told and the little I’ve seen but ya man, things change for the better and worse, not always the bad lol.
There are some amazing sources on here and have had no issues with any in terms of the actual ordered items being quality and that’s really all I can ask for at the end of the day to circle this back around lol.
Happy Memorial Day man.
Sums it up basically
This exactly.
In short I asked “what would you have me write?” And the response was clearly an, ok don’t expect anything from us again Vibes since they ignored the response and the questions about their original message and said they’d look forward to my promo review.
They are paper tigers. There are a lot of good sources at the top to choose from. And a few bad reviews based on their pressure campaign can sink them. They do not want to get on the bad side of eroid members as a collective.
anvilI think the products get reviewed when blood work is posted because that is the most excepted "proof" we have , also those awesome folk who send stuff out for jano tests and post, whom I give the highest respect. Rather than an "opinion" . Maybe we just need to swap up how it works?
Agreed, blood is king when legitimacy is in question. However you might still wanna look up whose test e scores best across all categories for example.
Look at the member Gh0st. It doesn't matter how much Sustanon he takes his Testosterone numbers always suck. Sustanon from 5 different sources and his bloodwork was always bad. Bloodwork doesn't always tell the whole story if something is good or not.
True but how many have that same situation as Ghost? Not many. I followed his situation and he'll tell you that. In fact I referred him to your sustanon. I understand your point but bloods are important at end of day though @eighty7
I don’t think it’s pointless but this is done during source review
Laziness. I put a thorough review and got lazy on following up
banned
Oh dear...haha!! I will add info quickly
What kind of info? Stats.... bloods? Cycle? Oooo dear!!!
Personally for me, it’s because I don’t know for sure if it was the brand or the source…but I made a purchase once (from a source not on here) of one of the most popular “brands” that everyone seems to love. The crap gave me cellulitis twice (I tried it out 6 months apart). To this day, I will never touch that “brand” again but I also feel like it could have been that source sending out a fake product…. So when I see other people loving a popular brand - I’m hesitant to jump in and say “it was awful” since (for all I know) that source changed the contents. Hope that makes sense.
Obviously, these days I stick to sources that produce their own brand/oils so I feel they have a reputation to uphold.
I'm going to have to say ignorance for me personally. I guess I don't fully understand product review. What I gather is that it is for a specific product, not necessarily a source..? Like multiple sources can offer same big name brands, so it's simply a review of that specific product/item?
Indeed, steroid-review section is intended for specific product, not a source. You really like those 100ml cuties by Organon - why not review?
I hate to say this BFG, but it looks to me like the system is already being abused to quickly gain review karma in order to get into promo's. Some of these 1 minute wonder product reviews do not look entirely genuine to me.
A thumbs down strips karma. Users here have always had the power to control rank and by extension, sources. It's just that nobody really seems to realize that.
I agree with that. I personally have not yet dove into those bigger named brands. I have only used (domestic) UGL, who have their own brand/label. At that point I feel a source review would be more valuable. While mentioning specific products used in that review.
I wrote a couple product reviews when I first joined because I didn’t know that they weren’t ever reviewed. If no one does it then it’s kind of worthless. I wasn’t even aware you could only write 8 reviews a year so that makes it even more pointless.
I would write a bad product review if the product itself was complete bunk and it was a brand name sort of deal that many sources used. Otherwise why even review the product? I always put the product in the source review anyway.
Say you don't agree with the type of oil in the product. Not your fault, not your sources fault...
I would never give a product a bad review due to my own reaction to the carrier oil. I'm smart enough to know that isn't really the product/suppliers fault.
While it isn't directly my fault I know I react fine to both grapeseed and MCT oil so I try and stick with those. If I did use another oil and I had a reaction I'd know to never get that kind of oil again. That's just life though. I'm not going to sue a peanut company if I was allergic to peanuts. It's my own damn responsibility not to eat peanuts.
You missed my point.
Say you are reactive to MCT but didn't know at the time. Would you write a review, and if so, would you review your source or the product?
And I never said you should write a bad review if you're having a reaction to the oil. There are 5 stars after all.
Ah I see. Hmm this is a hard one because I feel like I’d still want to review the source for providing the gear, but I wouldn’t want to ding him just because I couldn’t use the gear and test it.
And let’s be real anything but 5* would be seen as negative. And I couldn’t give 5 stars for the product because I couldn’t really use it. I’d have to stop if I had a really bad reaction.
Hard to say. This is tough because I do feel like it’s important to include if the gear is good from the source, but this scenario would hurt the source for no reason.
Maybe an option to skip a portion of the review where it had no impact on the source ranking. It’s unfair to the source to rate 0 because my body rejects their carrier oil, but I can’t rate top stars if I can’t use it.
Very interesting predicament.
I believe it's the limitation on reviews. Were there a separation of how many source vs product reviews, I think we'd see a change in that. I know I've reviewed products in the source's review area individually in the past. Not realizing that each one put me closer to that 8. This was prior to me even realizing that 8 was the limit in a year. The separation would give us the opportunity to review individual products and still be able to do source reviews without burning out our limit.
On the other hand, I can see where the 8 plays a part. As I'm sure were there a separation that there would be exploitation of that
Product reviews don't count
Alright good to know! So now we can all go bang out a few, get a good gear encyclopedia going. I’ll do a few when I get a minute
Ty boss, good to know!
