How do you get bloodwork done?

ad

How do you guys get bloodwork done? I finally got an appointment with a pcp that isn't super far out time wise and she asked me why I need all of my hormone levels checked (as if I was up to no good).

Luckily I did a month of trt through an actual clinic last month and discontinued so that was a good enough reason for her to do it, but I was barely able to convince her to check my estrogen she said they only check that if your test is high first, and I don't even think they are going to check my free test just my total & estrogen

Is there a certain type of physician I should look for or do I just keep looking until I find one that's lax and isn't going to ask me all of those questions?

Hey broski. Keep in mind that you're the shopper and they are the provider. They don't get paid if they can't provide what you want and need.

Request a full hormone panel and tell them that you want your testosterone and estrogen checked. If they give you some goofy answer, even after saying that's what you want, go to another provider. That's bullshit if they deny you data to your own body. Another good thing to scope out is your lipid panel and cholesterol levels broski.

But I mean, the right people to scope out are endocrinologists. Those ones always help out and specialize in hormonal imbalances and the ilk. Just what I do and request. I live in the states tho. Could be diff for you. Idk.

Here there are walk in clinics so you don't need to see a doctor but that's no good to you I guess because odds are you're not irish lol

You go to a private lab and get your bloodwork done outside of your normal healthcare. Google, "private blood work".

Because of the laws in my state labs won’t do it without a doctors order.
