+ 2 HELP!! Novice user having injection site complications
I've been searching the internet for any information that could help me with my current situation but have yet to find anything specifically regarding the issue I'm having. This isn't my first time going anabolic, but it is my first time doing it the right way and doing my research prior to making the decision to go for it. (I'm not counting the couple random cycles I did in high school because I was very misinformed and didn't take it seriously.) Any information will be greatly appreciated.
I started what was supposed to be a 12 week cycle of Test E 250 about 2 months ago. I'm using 23g 1 inch needles and pin 1c twice a week in opposing glutes. Everything was going fine while I was just using the 250. I gained about 20 lbs in the first month but wasn't seeing the increase in strength that I had desired, so I decided to stack the 250 with Equi 300. I pin 1c of 250 with .7c of the 300. I read somewhere that the best stack for what I was taking was 1c of 250 with half a c of equi 350 so I added more equi 300 to compensate for it not being 350.
My problem occurred the first time I used the Equi. I had a massive lump on my right glute and a bruise at the injection site. The first time this happened the site became infected and my Dr put me on a couple different antibiotics and within a week I was back to normal. I didn't take my second injection that week because I didn't know what was going on and wanted to try to rule out any form of contamination.
I am now 9 weeks in to what has become a 16 week cycle. (want to get full benefit out of the equi so I added another 5ml of Test E 250) After the first time the lump and infection happened I have had 3 more unpleasant pins, but they weren't nearly as bad as the first until my most recent one. I've been taking the remainder of the antibiotics from my rx to keep any infection at bay, but what is it that is likely to be causing me so much pain and discomfort? I have to sleep on my side and have extreme difficulty sitting down. One side of my ass looks like I got injections like Mrs. Kardashian and the other is normal.
Am I having a bad reaction to the equi? I'm reluctant to quit taking it bc of the strength gains that I've been seeing for the past week or two, but I can't keep going through the pain and limping and excruciating discomfort that comes with it. At first I thought I nicked a vein but now I'm not sure. Maybe I have too much scar tissue to keep using the same two injection sites? I've only pinned in my glutes, including the two cycles I did ten years ago in high school. I'm not sure about anything at this point.. Could someone please shed some light on this for me?
Sorry for my post being so long. I didn't want to leave anything out just to be sure whoever helps with this understands the situation fully.

Starting EQ late in a cycle doesn't work. You should drop the EQ immediately and continue the test for another couple week at least to allow the EQ to clear.
You do what you want, but I wouldn't be using a quationable vial with anitibiotics to prevent issues. I'd toss it! And of course rotate sites as many have told you.
Btw, I bumped you for having a positive, open mindset with everyone's critique.
Thanks! I'm just a newby trying to learn. When you consider how dangerous the repercussions can be from not knowing what you're doing, I take this very seriously. I'm quite appreciative of any advice that will allow me to advance in the right direction.
You answered your own question, you have to ROTATE sites, you cant just pin your glutes. spotinjection.com has a nice list of injection sites you NEED to start using. If you pin the same 2 sposts for more then 3 weeks you are going to have a massive scar tissue buildup and also put yourself at higher risk of infection.
I tend to do that given that I'm so precautions. I pin in the same two muscles every time but not in the same exact spot each time. Does that make a difference? I'm just trying to figure out 1) is pin site the cause of my problem? 2) is the eq itself causing the problem? 3) are there any ways to make this lump go away quicker or do I just have to wait it out? And 4) if I do decide to try eq/test compound in a new site and something similar happens, what site would be best that the discomfort won't impare me from working?
It could be the combination of both the eq and the same spot each week. Even though you say its a different spot on the glute its still the same muscle so as it is healing you are just taking another area of the same muscle and irritating it. Try your quads as it can take up to 3ml and see if it helps; it will be virgin muscle so at 1st it will sting. You have quite a few spots to inject, the best ones are glutes, delts, and quads
Again, thanks for all the info. I've been hesitant to pin my quads bc I was born with this horrible condition known as bird legs, but they've been growing pretty substantially lately so it's worth a try.
AnonSounds like all your problems started when you added the eq, so the simple solution would be to drop the eq. Throwing more compounds in the mix because you are unhappy with your results is not the answer. You were on the test for what, a month before adding the eq? Thats just when things should have started kicking in full force to begin with. You gained 20 lbs and decided you werent happy? Something is not right, you should have had more patience and stuck to your original plan. Eq aint gonna do shit for you in this, except make things worse apparently.
Patience is def something I need a lot of work with.. My time line is just a guess at best. I'd say it was closer to six weeks before I started with the eq which is why I added half a cycle of E 250 so I'd get maximum results out of the eq and not finish the 250 6 weeks ahead of the eq. My buddy who got me into this was telling me it takes eq around ten weeks before you start seeing results. So I should drop the eq entirely and go back to my original plan of a 12 week cycle on E 250 and see how my body handles that and take it from there?
Hate to break it to you but you're not gonna benefit much from the eq in that short amount of time. Due to the slow releasing action of the ester it's paired with, you gotta run it at least 600/week for 16 weeks minimum. Takes about 9 weeks to reach plasma concentration in the blood.
As for your reaction: it's a thing you'll learn to get used to with different brews. Try heating it before you pin. Might help absorb better before the reaction occurs. And make sure you're swabbing with alcohol on everything.
So if I were to drop the eq and finish just on E 250, how long should I wait before I get back on and what would be the best way to go about stacking Test E and eq? (provided I don't have the same reaction next time) Also, if I do have a similar reaction what could I substitute for the eq to get similar results? I had eq 350 prior to the 300 and didn't have the same reaction. I make damn sure I swab everything down to be as certain as I can that nothing is contaminated. Thanks for the advice
AnonSo you have or have not run eq in the past? Trying to clarify...
Have not. I was given an unopened vial of eq 350 midway through my cycle of test and used it for the first two pins since acquiring it, but a situation came up and I got rid of it and picked up the 300 before I was due for my next pin.
AnonOk, yeah I would drop it. Gotta run it 16 weeks minimum so its not really something to just throw in mid cycle. 600mg test e/600mg eq for 18 weeks is pretty common. Stop the eq 2 weeks before the test because it takes longer to clear.
That should work out for me perfectly then. I'd say I have about a week and a half, maybe two weeks left of test. So after I wait a month to start my pct and once I'm finished with the pct, what would be a safe amount of time to wait post-pct before I try doing this stack again? Of course I will be starting them both at the same time next go round to hopefully achieve the best results.
AnonGeneral rule is time on cycle + pct = time off. So if you finish pct after 18 weeks thats the minimum amount of time you should wait before going back on. And get blood work after pct and before starting your next cycle to make sure you are recovered and good to start again.
Not saying you should drop or continue the eq. Just trying to give you some facts to make your own informed decision. If you were to drop it, however, you need a good 4/5 weeks without eq for the ester to clear prior to your pct. Otherwise, the negative feedback provided by the hormones presence will prevent the stimulation you're trying to achieve with you pct compounds.
After reading the responses from my initial post I'm pretty certain I'm dropping the eq, but I still have a week and a half of the E left. You're saying I should start pct 4/5 weeks after last eq pin or should I wait 4/5 weeks after I'm completely done?
How many pins have you done and what amounts of eq up until now?
Also, I'm about 10/11 weeks in (I know I should keep better records of these things and next time I will) so between 20 and 22 pins so far, but absolutely ZERO complications until I added the eq into the situation. I've only got a couple pins left of test. Should I wait 4/5 weeks to start pct regardless of what I'm on?
I'd say about 4-5 pins with 1ml of test and .7ml of eq in one injection. The test I have may be 300, I can't remember, but the person I originally consulted with before doing this told me if I had test 300 and eq 350 to do 1ml test with .5ml eq twice a week for 12 weeks. Since I dropped down to a lesser concentration of eq I added .2ml to compensate for the loss in concentration. How far off are these numbers from the best way to take them?
Could be that your body doesn't like the eq, or could be dirty gear. If you're determined to run the eq, I would try a different source and see what happens. If you have the same issue, I would drop the eq and accept that you cannot successfully take that compound. Everyone's body is different. I have a friend that reacted that way to 3 different kinds of test before he realized he just can't take test. Unfortunate, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
Thanks for the help. I had no idea people's bodies reacted so differently to certain compounds, but I guess that shouldn't be too much of a surprise for me. I'm always certain to use alcohol swabs on everything before I pin and use separate needles for drawing and injections. I had a weeks worth of eq 350 prior to the 300 and didn't have the same reaction so that's why it's so hard for me to make up my mind about dropping the eq. I was assuming maybe I had too much scar tissue build up or maybe my gear wasn't long enough considering it's only 23g 1" long. After what you three have told me, I'm starting to think my initial suspicion of it being the eq and not how I pin that is what causing all my problems.
