GH during health phase?
How do the smart minds here feel about implementing GH during a health phase? Does doing so negate the whole idea of a “health phase” or, alternatively, can 2-4iu daily of GH help support the goals of a health phase?
For context, I have some gray market GH and I want to test it out. I’m coming off a solid 20 week growth cycle during which I have put on about 20lbs and minimal body fat (maybe an added 2%). I’m tapering off the anabolics and planning to cruise at my usual TRT dose (100-140mg test per week, depending on bloodwork and feel) for 8-12 weeks. After that I will start a cut, with anabolics.
Would starting the GH at 2iu and titrating up to 4iu at the beginning of the health phase jeopardize it in any way? Since GH is not an anabolic and does not affect the androgen receptors, nor negatively impacts lipids, BP, liver health, and all the other markers we monitor while on anabolics, I can’t see how it would. I assume it would also help preserve fullness and recovery after the anabolics clear.
What do you all think? TIA.

Dr. Panda says run it year-round lol (don’t follow me blindly though … sides and benefits are very individual, everyone responds different).
1–2 IU = replacement / baseline
3–5 IU = health phase, cruising, cutting … this is where most people actually feel it (better sleep, recovery, fat loss)
6–10 IU = growth phase / blasting … now you start seeing real synergy with the rest of the stack.
Above that… sky’s the limit. I’ve seen guys around me pushing 15+ IU, and then you hear people like Chase Irons talking 30 IU… at that point, you’re playing a whole different game.
For me, it’s more about consistency over time than just cranking the dose. GH is slow … it builds, it accumulates(hypertrophy & hyperplasia )… it’s not something you “feel” overnight(except side effects), but give it time and it shows.
Yes
Run it year around. Helps preserve muscle at maintainence or in a deficit so yes, run it. Also helps keep fullness during a cut. It's always a good time to run GH
unseen423I’m running 2-4 IU during my health phase. Starting at 2 and titrating up after a few weeks. It’s been a minute since I ran GH so easing back into it.
Yes l run 3 plus on regular. I take a week off for for a reset once and a while.
I dont think 2iu would do any harm, the only thing I can think it would throw off is your insulin resistance/glucose levels, so maybe consider that.
Just my 2 cents, I'm open to being wrong.
DocMcGainsYeah, I don't know what to think about the insulin sensitivity and GH thing. I'm pretty lean, and even with my carbs at 400-450g per day I haven't gone insulin resistant. The Anabolic Roundtable dudes claim it is bogus if you live the lifestyle, do your cardio, take walks after meals etc., but anecdotally there does seem to be a correlation between GH and insulin resistance. Nothing buggered my insulin sensitivity like MK-677. Bloating and moonface aside, that compound pushed my fasting glucose levels over 100. I was not a fan.
As with so much of this it seems the only way to know is to try it out myself and track the data...
My Bro,
Honestly, keep something like Reta in year-round and you’ll barely even think about insulin sensitivity issues. Just adjust the dose based on your goal (cut, push food, maintenance) and it keeps things in check pretty well.
With GH, timing matters more than people think. Running it pre-bed helps a lot with insulin sensitivity, simply because you’re going into your longest fasting window. You’re not stacking it on top of meals or carbs all day, so less interference with glucose handling.
At higher doses (I’d say 8 IU+), GH can definitely start impacting insulin sensitivity … that’s well known, it increases lipolysis but also raises blood glucose short-term. That’s why guys either manage timing better, keep carbs structured, or in more extreme cases bring “those we do not speak of” into the picture.
From what I’ve seen and experienced, keeping GH pre-sleep, diet tight, and something like Reta in the background makes things way smoother long-term.
That’s just my take from what I’ve seen and applied ….
