getting stronger without getting bigger

is there a way to get stronger in the weights without adding on muscle mass. would that be all slow twitch muscles exercises? and a low carb diet? maybe a cutting cycle will do?

Seems tread answered your question. this has happened to me..Getting strong no mass gains especialy with test prop..It was my diet..way way off..Im logging everything i eat and finding out my macro's..If I see that my waist is gettin swole or bigger then ill adjust somethin in my diet..like eat a couple meals consisting of just beef or chicken over salid..my waist is smaller already..im logging everything..I plan on steppin up to the bid dawgs by 2013. Each meal consist of 40-60g protien 5 to 6 times a day..

What tread said for diet but for pure strength workout wise I would be using 1-5 rep range at 90%ish of your 1RM.

Stick to compound movements squat, deadlift, bench, shoulder press, bent over rows and drop the accessory stuff like curls etc..

Or find any good powerlifting workout intended to increase strength only and follow that.

they have a pill for that on napsgear. i guess they really have a pill or inject for everything.. but the question is why dont you want to add mass?
