+ 3 Fertility: AAS are NOT birth control
ad
So many guys including myself at some have the believe that anabolics will make you sterile while you’re on, and that I’m gonna say is very dependent on the individual some guys will shut down completely and even then there’s always the chance you can get your girl pregnant, I say this because both times I’ve gotten my lady pregnant has been while on cycle and not even trying to just not being safe, so if you’re trying and not succeeding yes come off the drugs and even try doing a fertility protocol. For those of you who aren’t trying to have kids don’t feel like you won’t get your girl pregnant while you’re on cycle because there’s a chance you still will! Just a random thought

Don't know about that being fact or fiction. All I know is all 4 of my children were conceived when thier mothers were "on birth control ". So they said...
On test 250/wk got my lady pregnant. On test, tren, mast got her pregnant again.
Very good post! This is short and sweet, but to the point. Hopefully it will help a lot of guys who are unaware of it!
Testosterone and trestolone both are approved in Europe for male contraceptive!
Alphamale500Oh really? I've certainly read some different articles that back up testosterone's efficiency as a male contraceptive. In the U.K. there's a fairly new male contraceptive that's been developed called Dimethandrolone Undecanoate, or DMAU. The pill combines an androgen with a progestin.
RustyhookerCongrats!
Nandrolone was being tested as a male contraceptive bout 20yrs back. It wasnt approved because the medical community felt that people would abuse the contraceptive. Lol! Not even considering the dose medically versus a cycle....

I’ve gotten my wife pregnant on cycle.
Twice...
Ditto
Alphamale500I certainly agree with your comments. It's really mainly testosterone that's been known/thought to prevent men from inpregnating a women, and not so much the other AAS compounds. I remember some years back, reading about a study where they were using test enanthate as a male contraceptive. And in this study they were actually claiming that it worked, but it would likely never make it to market because of the stigma behind using an anabolic steroid for pregnancy prevention.
Imo, while it still may be possible to get a girl pregnant while on testosterone or other AAS, in some and even most men it does reduce your chances drastically. So imo, if you're trying to conceive a child, your best chances would be to totally come off the testosterone or other AAS you may be using. Also, you might want to use clomid and/or HCG with an endocrinologist to really increase your chances.
HCG is a very important and effective medication when it comes to maintaining and increasing fertility levels in men. I was reading an article recently about a study with men on trt who incorporated HCG into their trt protocols to increase fertility. These men were infertile, or had very low sperm counts before adding the HCG. While the men continued to use testosterone in their trt protocols, they added HCG at 500mg EOD. A fairly lagre percentage of participants who within about only six weeks after adding the HCG, actually where able to conceive a child with their significant others during the study. And the others had drastically increased their fertility levels.
I always use HCG with trt and while on cycle, and truly believe in it's fertility and other health benefits which I've experienced first-hand. Clomid is another medication that's very beneficial when it comes to fertility issues.
Sperm production is mainly stimulated by other hormones. FSH being a primary one. You can have low T or nearly no T and still produce sperm.
Alphamale500Your right, but that's the thing though with FSH and LH. You know, when most people are on test, their levels of FSH and LH are close to 0.
True, but it's not guaranteed nor is it consistent, as in "X" days after start of AAS. Point being, just don't assume, better yet, assume you are fertile.
That's true. This is a paranoia that has lasted a few years for me.
I don't have any children but we are thinking about it in the future.
Of course, an individual with low testosterone does not mean that he will remain sterile.
Apart from age, there are many other factors that can contribute to lowering testosterone levels. These include obesity or the habit of unhealthy lifestyles.
When we talk about infertility, we are talking about the absence of conception following complete, targeted and unprotected intercourse over the course of 12 months. Only then will it be considered a real pathology. +
