Experience with ruptured bicep
I ruptured my bicep at work this sucks i was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and how long i will be down doc says after my surgery it's only 2wks recovery time that's hard for me to believe. Does anyone have any advice on something that my help me get back faster i have read some things about hgh helping heal time vut i don't know if this refers to tendons I did plan on running my next cycle in April or may now i don't know if i will be at the level i was hoping to achieve before starting it.My problem is my job is seasonal so may to October is the time where I can put in the gym work for the cycle the rest of the year i put in around 70 hours a week and make it to the gym as much as I can. I hope i won't miss my window to run my cycle. Any ideas suggestions advice or experience would be much appreciated.
Thanks bigmurph

bigmurphI've never ran hgh what dose is good for tendon healing also my diet right now is only fish and bird trying to cut bf and wieght before next cycle so staying away from beef or is beef collagen a supplement that your talking about if so can you reccomend a brand thanks for advice
bbopOrder some kits and start hgh asap, bust the crock pot out and start slow cooking meat with bones left in and get some good beef collagen online to start taking.
bigmurphYeah a complete tear my bicep is now part of my shoulder. You say a year that really sucks were you able to slowly get back to training in that year or did you rest then get back to it
I started working it right after I was allowed to stop wearing that dial brace thing, using the bar only and believe me that's plenty to start with. You'll be lifting pretty much like before in less than a year, but it's around that year mark where the numbness from your wrist and half way up your forearm is completely gone and when you can really push it without too much worry. Although I'm stronger now in all areas than before the injury, I've chosen to drop the weight and get into the 15,20 rep range on almost everything and I'm still growing and enjoying my workouts more. Go too heavy, and you'll quickly be reminded of that injury no matter how much time goes by.
bigmurphSo no more maxing out or power lifting in my future thats hard to hear the worst thing is this didn't even happen trying to lift to much in the gym it happened at work the more I talk about it the madder i get
Don't base your future on anything that I've said. I'm also in my mid 40's so Id probably be more likely to tear the tendon in my other arm before the repaired one gave way. You'll know over time what your limitations are if there are any at all. I'm just very cautious because I know that if I tear it again, there won't be enough to grab hold of to repair it again. I'd rather compromise my lifts a little and still have a nice looking arm as apposed to wearing my bicep on my shoulder for the rest of my life.
If you've ripped your tendon off the bone, then your looking at close to a year for full recovery. I'd say at least 3 months to really start working it good. Hell its been so long since I tore mine that I cant remember the details but that's a pretty close estimate.
