Equipoise Cycle Question

ad

Has anyone experienced the difference between a 16 week equipoise cycle and a 20 week cycle? Test E as the base of course between 300-400.

I've ran a couple EQ cycles. One was 15 weeks this one was 24 weeks. From weeks 16-24 the gains kept coming, my delts popped and vascularity is full on. I ran with sustanon 450mg/wk and EQ I kept at 900mg. Appetite very strong even running 500-750mg tren the whole time. Cardio also a breeze with tren

Another thought might be to get equipoise cyp. The shorter ester would bring the benefits sooner allowing a 14 week run and therefore less shut down time.

jl88 the reason why it takes 4-5 weeks for test e to kick is because it takes 5-6 half life cycles to clear before it reaches what is called a steady state. The half life of test e is 10 to 10.5 days according to who you ask. I have personally seen it labeled 8 days from watson pharmaceutical company. That being said you see why it takes 4-5 weeks right? It needs to clear at least 4 times to reach it potential. 4 times 8-10 is 32-40 days. Now to do cyp it would need to be run for 50-60 days before it started to kick. That's almost the whole ten weeks you just asked about. This is why long ester are run for 16 weeks.

When frontloading test e, it still takes 4 weeks to kick-in. How would that theory explain this?

Modified's picture

From the University of Nottingham:

"Sometimes a loading dose may be administered so that a steady state is reached more quickly then smaller ‘maintenance’ doses are given to ensure that the drug levels stay within the steady state."

I don't follow your question Modified. Front loading serves a different purpose and has nothing to do with shortening the loading phase to steady state.

Why do you believe that the reason a steroid takes a specific quantity of time to "kick-in" is at all related to its steady state?

cry_havoc's picture

I don't believe that. I know it takes any drug 4-5 half life cycles before it starts to take full affect. It tends to take that long to reach therapeutic levels which is also considered the steady state. However you can decrease the ramp up or loading phase to steady state by front loading but that does not mean that you reach full saturation and effects of Test E in 16 days for instance. Check out this post I wrote a while back. The front loads are exaggerated for illustrative purposes but it does show front loading visually.

I would say 10 weeks is too short a time for any long estered compound.

I've run both 16 and 20 week EQ cycles. Next time I run EQ I'll plump for 18. Weeks 17 and 18 yielded good gains, 19 and 20 tapered off hence my comment about 18. For me, that's the optimum cycle length.

Regarding your test dose, it really depends on what you want from the cycle. 400mg of test/wk will yield a leaner result, whereas higher test dose will give more mass assuming diet and workout are on the money.

If you need anything regarding EQ help its a compound i know well. Feel free to drop me a line if you need to ok?

Sent you a FR .. have questions about EQ cycle

cry_havoc's picture

Thank you SDM I have sent you a fr. And yes I am thinking of it from more of a lean gains cycle hence the 400. 500 and above tends to give me too much bloat which is OK if I am in a winter bulk but not for a summer cutter.

No problem buddy. I'll help you set up your cycle if you need any help with it. I love EQ, used correctly its an amazing compound. Viking describes it as "the thinking mans AAS", describes it well.

LoL.. you got that right brother!.. also another major benefit with EQ.. due to the slow steady gains peaking in the last few weeks usually for most (patience guys) the gains made stay with you for a hella long time if not forever with good maintenance, and if diet and BF% can be nailed to the floor the vascularity produced can be insane!.. i.e spider web type veins speading across a whole muscle belly, veins on the shins etc are not uncommon... i have been asked many times if i had been running tren ace due to the vascularity when in truth its all down to good EQ dosing.

IMO the best test base to use would be sustanon due to the dryness not clouding the full effects of the EQ in the closing weeks if that is the desired effect..... for bulking its great due to appetite increase and again the lasting gains.... so to conclude for me its a multi-purpose compound depending purely how much food you shovel in for bulking and then on the other hand a great addition to a cutting stack if you have the will power to stay strictly on diet.... for women its as safe to use as primo and gives nice solid gains with the addition of a little var can shaped and chiselled nicely with a working dose of 200mg wk sides free.

cry_havoc's picture

Never thought of running sust with it. How much do you run on a lean bulk vs. a cutter? Are the ratios about the same as test to eq?

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

I usually run 1200mg but ive been at it a long long time bro and thats what i need to continue to get full effects... for you i would say run equal amounts test/eq you dont have to drop dose like we do with deca and run both the length of cycle.. no need to let eq finish before the test either.

cry_havoc's picture

Thanks Viking I appreciate it. I am gonna consider building a cycle on the sust concept instead of just test e.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

Ok bro.. build the run then send me a copy.. if it needs a fine tune we can do that together and set-up the best pinning schedule too.. whatever you do dont add a prop taper too much test at end can blind the fine vein results imo.

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

At your bodyweight and cycle exp bro i would say 600mg would suit you just fine,.

I hear what your saying about waiting too long between cycles. I typically run 16 weeks on eq however, I am rethinking how I lay my cycles out and am considering the cost to benefit factor of a good solid 20 week cycle. The gains might outweigh the extra 4 week wait resulting in less cycles. I also use the time on plus pct as a "general" guideline but I usually go back on 2-4 weeks after my bloods are back to normal which is usually before the cycle time limit.
