Short and straight to the point.....
Do you ladies and gents want another EBC?
Yes sir!!!
Hell yeah!!! Let's start ASAP
EBC: You're good enough, you're smart enough, and dog gone it, people like you!!!
MightyMatt812Yes I wanna participate this time
very funny too bad it describes me :(
Even if its no prizes I will do it EBC! EBC!
EBC!
I definitely want ebc helped me a lot ebc is a must its a great push to compete with others to push yourself beyond limits I need to beat vegeta where are you lol
RustyhookerYes there should be an ebc
I can get laughed at for this one, but I'd love to see a test only ebc. Keeping people honest in it would be a tough one. I think it would be great to show some of the second cycle, 5 compounds impatients what can still be achieved with test and diet.
That being said, I'm glad to see the ebc continue. Its a competition of self, and a chance to showcase a sources gear.
Oh man... Time for me to start researching my compounds and saving funds, lol
alright going to start making my way to 240, just a sample to see what a brutal bulk would look like on me, next time I in the ebc defently going for dirty big BULK!!! im gonna scare some of you kids. just to show im also able to kick ass in the bulking area
I dont think anyone is doubting your abilities, how much weight would you need to add to hit 240?
I just cant wait to see him with a muffin top. lol
how you doing brother? muffin tops all set sir!!
Same shit different toilet my friend how about yourself.
vacation over, prepping for show on may 9th. hey brother also followed youre advise, I signed up in November for the nasm cert. going to give exam in april, thanks for helping out with that!!!
good for you im sure you'll do well bro. An the cert isn't too hard bro just a lot of reading and common sense , knowing your muscle groups ,what they do, how to activate them , safety blah blah blah. np.
38 pounds
Wow...I put on 31lbs for this one...another 7lbs would've been hell!!!
The worst side effect I got during this crazy bulker was the belly rub and running outta stamina during sex....I don't know how fat people do it lol... I really don't!!!
Have at it brother;)
Im in
YES!!!!
OK folks, let's roll with it and get the wheels in motion. A couple of points to mention:
Tonytulo will be co-organiser. You may not associate his name with the competition but he has a wealth of comp experience and has helped out behind the scenes extensively previously. I expect you to treat him with the same respect you have always treated me.
Not as yet set in stone, but the next EBC is likely to be around end of April. We will, of course, advise further after discussion and review.
Damn that's like 4 months away! What a tease lol...
Bulk now, cut for summer ;)
Lol i hope it starts sooner! 4months will feel like forever! I may have to do a bb show along with this ebc
Yeah man light that shit up, I always enjoy a good EBC every now and then lol. Yes keep the EBC going I've seen so many great transformations and noobs find out that they want to do a real competition.
I better see you in the next EBC!
Yes sir i think you should
fuck yeah i do! i NEED redemption!!!!
I see the EBC as an opportunity for folk that have never competed to experience the excitement of it and have a dry run to see if they might like to take their physique to the stage. I don't see folk that have a long competition history or a pro card as really fair to get in the mix with guys that have never even done a prep. I understand how it is judged and that it is possible to make it a pro-am kind of event and create a level playing field and such but if you have been competing for years and have a wall full of trophies what is the point? I hope that more guys and ladies develop a passion for the sport not have folk that are just starting out go up against the pros we have here and maybe get discouraged. I understand that the EBC is not specifically a "bodybuilding" contest but in my mind it certainly has that feel for whatever reason.
Hell yea!
I am just an average joe compared to these pros. Hell, I'm not even a "bodybuilder".. I compete in powerlifting. Our routines are completely different in almost every way.. Our training routines are geared towards strength so usually a lot less volume and we don't worry about ripping the muscle and getting the pump and our diets are usually more relaxed..
HOWEVER,
I busted my ass in the last EBC (my first ever EBC) while prepping for a PL meet. Granted I didn't place in the EBC, I managed to get myself in the best shape of my life in terms on shear size/body composition as well as prepping properly for my meet and still setting records at the event. Keep the EBC alive! It's fun to get the community together and do something like this.. Sure the pros may have the upper hand in terms of knowledge and experience but I sure as hell had fun competing against everyone and still making incredible gains across the board. Looking forward to the next EBC! Count me in mother fuckers ;)
I Deffo want the ebc to continue I think it's good for members. I for one really hope this coming ebc falls at a time I can compete..
I will never compete in an EBC but I really enjoy watching everybody's progress and transformations. I think in part in exemplifies eroids.
DeathstrokeSure! I would give it a shot
I would say yes, but the playing field is never level, you have pro level competitors up against the average joe so his chances are slim and none. Maybe you should have a pro level and a joe level, otherwise IMO its a waste of time. EBC is a great idea in itself to get ppl motivated if they have a chance to actually win.
I absolutely loved competing against a couple of these pros!!
It gave me that umppff to push myself even harder throughout the competition.
Italian was the only pro who placed...He was phenomenal in his stage ready "cutter" ebc. Maybe a bulker he wouldn't of even placed.
I think the playing field is equal with no favoritism during the judging process.
Competing against yourself is what one needs to worry about.
There was one guy this last comp who came out of nowhere who was an average joe who crushed it. Imo do the pros have a leg up sure cause they know what their doing when it comes to comps, but I've personally seen guys who were never heard of come out of no where and beat seasoned competitors at shows, I have a friend who got his pro card after only doing 3 shows , and he stood on stage against others who were seasoned who have been competing for years who were in spectacular shape, but he brought in the better package , he was also much younger than many. Just because some of these people are pros does not mean shit. An as long as cat and I are involved in the ebc I can assure you every one gets judged by the same criteria period , there is no special treatment for anyone including pros , there never has been and there never will be. Anyone can fuck up to , I watch guys with perfect physiques fuck up preps all the time. The ebc also is not a bodybuilding show it is a progress show. For example if pro and average joe are up against each other who ever made the most progress from entry pic to finish pic wins , who ever cuts more bf for a cutter , who ever bulks up more etc , than they are judged on symmetry , wow factor etc etc. This last one a pro didn't finish favorably and figured he had it in the bag because he was a pro , well he was sadly mistaken and he than acting like a child.
Never did I say it was rigged but you do say what I already know; I have seen underdogs take the cake many times and that is always the thrill for anyone. BUT it still boils down to the guy who has no idea about dieting or macro counting or proper form and function; he is going to have to work 4 times as hard to come close to the seasoned guy who eats and shits this world. I watched the last EBC and saw some really good transformations; I saw some who looked exactly the same coming out as they went in. Same thing on the last one too. It can be done no question but if you swim in a tank full of sharks your chance of getting eaten is guaranteed. Would you jump in the ring with Mike Tyson?
I get what your saying mack , but if someone doesn't know how to diet that is no ones fault but their own. A lot of the pros wont do the ebc because it interferes with where they're at in their season and how far they are out from a show. Honestly the pros are at a disadvantage sometimes because if they're a few months out from a show they wont bulk , and if they're lean they wont shed as much body fat as someone whos more out of shape , its judged by progress from entry pic to entry pic so if joe blow makes more progress he wins. The criteria they're judged apon is target goal: 1-5, proportion: 1-5 ,change/ improvement : 1-5, presentation: 1-5 , and wow factor: 1-5. Even in bodybuilding shows or wbff shows which are fashion and modeling along with the normal bikini bodybuilding etc they are judged similar with a few more categories. If the pros were at an advantage all the pros who entered would have placed at the top which many did not I think 1 did and it was extremely close, it could've gone many different ways there was a 1 to 2 point difference in the top 4. I believe you get out what you put in.
He's getting old do I get some kind of ear protection?
lol no ear protection and you can have a roll of quarters taped to the inside of your fist
I don't know if my ego could handle getting my ass kicked by a dude that talks like a girl Lmfao. Oh well I've never been accused of been very bright
lmao at least its an honorable ass whipping.
I honestly can't believe Tyson never came to ufc for a big pay day. Him and couture would be a fight I would watch
The bottom line with the EBC is it is fair and the winner is the one that gives it their all above everyone else.
Atleast your honest
Understand what you're saying, but having been involved in organising and sat on the judging panel in the past I actually think it's the other way round. Using me as an example, I've spent the last couple of years walking around between 250 and 260lbs at a maximum of 11% BF, (I'm removing my current condition as I'm a post Christmas porker), There's little room for adding mass, only cutting bf for stage prep. Whilst I have an advantage in terms of conditioning knowledge, look at some of the transformations made this time, I couldn't achieve that. The pros have less "options".
