+ 1 EBC?????
I know the past week has been insane with the news of events that have unfolded. As this may or may not
be the ideal time either. I was sitting around and thinking while our community is closed to new members, this
may be a good thing. We had 226 votes saying yes they would like it to happen, an astounding 93 votes of members that don't even know what it is. a few to say no and 47 that doesn't care, I personally say those that don't care are a yes vote (lol).
Well anyways to my point of why it may be good, we are closed to new members. So I thought that the EBC may just help the community pull back together; give ourselves a chance to clear our mind and focus on the meat & potatoes (so to speak) of what eroids is. A community to help each other better themselves give each other solid advice and help. I have thought about this and how the members communicate with each other during the EBC how exciting it is to see the work and effort people put into the goal at the end. I personally see how that shows that we are genuine with the help to one another.
I have also thought about the prizes and how that may look to outsiders and their intake on our site. Well this is where I have thought of 2 different options. 1 what about a blind prize list Where no one knows but the organizer's , or 2 a closed prize list; to only the people competing will get a Pm with the prize list. I know that I'm a young eroid member, not my age but time here, anyways in that time that Ive been here seeing the atmosphere that it has brought to the members; that I myself have experienced participating in this contest. It Is something I don't want to see lost to this site. I'm very curious to hear peoples thoughts to this proposal to keep building a positive tradition in the community.

angusThose guys are the only reason I participated in the last one. Well, BJS, Ace, and the OP (only1cat). The comraderie is second to none and the learning curve gets steeper. What a great way to be all you can be. I've supported the EBC every way that I knew how, encouraged members to push themselves to new heights and really explore the potential of the human body. I think it is pretty amazing, but I also thought I was done after doing one. I got coerced into the second one. But like yourself, I am done competing and encourage anyone to challenge themselves.
This is the first I knew of any potential dishonesty or favoritism. I was a judge 2 EBC's ago and I feel that my votes were appropriate, without bias, and considered properly by the admin. So I've been involved in 3 EBC's now and had a very positive experience in each one.

angusThanks brother, I don't consider myself a great but I try. Things are really good for me, I never really left, merely kept a lower profile when things got hinky. I don't mean with the sources I just mean with the MOD's. I started seeing people get banned for what seemed like trivial things and I thought it best to see how the landscape would change before reinserting myself. Then of course the source fallout happened and that was interesting to watch. I feel like I've missed so much, and I'm really curious about what Viking is talking about in regards to source employees but I do not engage mods. I let them do their thing and don't get in the way.
Weight wise? Oh my, I cannot begin to tell you the struggle I had with the weight. I was uncomfortable, had a hard time breathing, and couldn't even scratch my own neck. I was way too big for my 5'8" frame IMO. I was pushing 260 and it impeded the things I like to do in life like golf and snowboard. Thus I chose to drop back down. I currently sit at 235 and find it comfortable. I can tie my own shoes and wipe my own ass so that is good. I'm glad I could inspire you and hopefully others because I truly believe that everyone has the potential to be great, they just have to reach down and grab it by the balls and insert it into their reality. You have done a phenomenal job as well and you have much to be proud of.
Don't know how many times we can explain to you guys that you only see the surface of eroids and how we operate is really none of anyones business but you can rest assured that its for the betterment of the board... We do not care if we banned one of your "bro's" and you are all butt hurt about it... We do not care is you think some smart ass is funny if he's taking too much of our time he's gone... We don't care who you like and who you don't like... Who's getting banned and who's NOT getting banned is really nobodies business as long as it isn't you... Honestly bro, Im happy to just bow out. I feel like its my duty now, to give back. The stuff that I received and all that I have gained, it would take me a year to show my appreciation. I dont give a shit what the rules are or who judges it, I just want to participate! Im not nearly on the level as some of you guys but that's just more motivation for me. I've been slowly cutting for a while now and I just hope yall figure something out while I still got some fat left lol. 1) - BS happenings weeded out many questions of wtf was going on behind the scenes. That cleanup alone will bring the ebc up in standards. Especially when a competition like a recomp comes to mind. Granted it is NOT the biggest loser here but someone recomping by 5lbs changed on scale and no visable changes is not a winner imo. Someone going from soft ti added mass and clear definition is recomp.
2--getting someone to run the ebc with no gsins for themselves further brings this into light. I quit the ebc for those reasons. I enjoyed competing regardless of placing. I enjoy shit talking and pyshing myself harder ti put up or shut up.

V, I truly appreciate your input and time to read my post and to give us insight. I felt like the tear within our community was great, and was hoping that the EBC possibly would or could help us begin the healing process if you will.
Most participants competing, showed what our community was truly about. We showed each other support, guidance and a genuine care, to push each other into achieving goals one didn't think was possible in a safe manner.
I can only hope that this is not the end to this contest but a possible new start. Thank you for your time guidance and support to our community!

It would be a real shame to see it go. I took part in the free for all last year and would love to have a go this spring/summer.

I originally started the EBC about 2 years ago (I think) as a way for fanboys of suppliers to put up or shut up about how great their suppliers were....If your sugar daddy's shit is all that, then show us the beef.
In other words it was supposed to weed out suppliers who were selling underdosed (or outright bunk) gear, and highlight suppliers who delivered results.
Unfortunately it almost immediately became more about the rat than the scientist.
I appreciate what your cause of the EBC was for and it completely makes a great sense, to keep the integrity of the reviews of the site. And I might be looking deeper into the contest as to how we as contestants are competing against ourselves and each other. I think that your goals for the ebc are still alive and present, us as competitors look at the competition within our self. Well most do ; of course with anything you are going to have a couple of pieces of trash to remove. I guess what I'm saying and how I feel about it is, you gave us a contest with your goals of weeding out crap vendors & I as a contestant am looking at how it pushed myself to goals I don't know if I would ever had. It made me push my body more than I ever had in life. I didn't even come close to winning but I made changes in myself I never thought possible. So again 2 different agendas between us. I want to say THANK YOU no matter what our agendas where. I truly appreciate what it brought to me.

Although that's the main reason I too stick around here, the "meat and potatos" of this site is is the reviews section, as that is what this site is, a source review site.
I guess it just so happens it's a source review site with a better "forum section" the any other "forum site" ..... yeah we're spoiled.
Anyways I'm rambling now, EBC or no EBC I'll be sticking around.
As I agree this is mainly a review site, Viking, Nitti, Hllywood, Gs and the rest of the contributer's have made this the best aas site in the world, for giving us information on safety how to not waste our gear, how gear is mainly a small tool in the life of achieving either the body of a god or to become stronger than ever thought possible. That only by proper diet actually putting time in, hard work is what is truly going to do it for us not a magic pill or no matter how much we pin. The brass tax is we have to be safe and put in hard work to reach our goals!
What about just taking a step back from a full blown EBC and just start another smaller scale site wide contest. No prizes, just honor. If it is a cutter that is fine, either just have everyone vote or maybe select 20 non-particpant voters, whatever. Hell, put the vote on the one guy whose judgement we trust above all others here, Viking.
We could do that female division we talked about with GRRL judging as well.

I liked the movie SlingBlade and i like the way you talk emmiumh. Do you like mustard biscuit cause I crave them during a cut cycle lol. On a side note the EBC is an icon of this site, I for one wouldn't like to see it dimenish. It's actually a great educational tool for noobs as well.
