Eating healthy vs shit food

ad

Has anyone ever told you, "You are what you eat!" There is a balance to diet. If you eat clean and have low carbs perhaps 150 to 200g a day carb cycling. You will have lower risk of having high E2, bloating, and other unwanted sides. If you eat shit thinking you are going to get big and muscular fuck no you're going to have muscle but you're going to look like a bloated fatass. You can eat clean for about 4 to 5 days and have a cheat meal ever day afterwards which is called balance or a refeed. I eat every 3 hours until I go to bed and only have carbs meals 1,3,5, and 7 sometimes. Some people have there own ways of doing certain things but I can say I have figured out that these work the best. There are sometimes when I even have a 0 carb day just to get leaner. Hopefully this makes since. People count cals I don't I count macros. Long as I make a certain criteria everyday I'm happy and I make leans gains.

Different people can eat different things. It's not that simple.

x3 my metabolism is crazy fast and I'll be 34 this year and hasn't slown down one bit since childhood and to be honest even if I ate McDonald's Ed I still wouldn't get fat, I've done it. Even though I tend to eat healthier things these days it just doesn't matter what I eat I'm cut either way. Everything that has to do with training and aas is purely individualistic.

what works for one might destroy another!!

I absolutely agree with some of what you said, but there are many variables that influence carb intake.

You could switch to 30g carbs per day and lose fat while retaining muscle or adding some via extra fat cals and upping carbs to replenish muscle only.
Or if you were in contest prep your needs would differ
Or if you had diabetes, you would likely differ from the norm

So, I would say that of course there are universal guidelines that do work - we all know that, however no one size fits all, never does.

I think genetics have a lot to do with all aspects of bodybuilding and using gear. I for one can't use test higher than 400 and mark my words my diet is clean AF. I have to eat dry food, no sauces, no going out to dinner with the fam. Just dry seasoning and broccoli or any other Veg. These are the sacrifices I have to make when I'm serious about my physique recomp.

Thanks for helping clear that up.

If I had to live forever, I'd kill myself

Wait, wut?

What you grow or kill is the best food you can eat. The shit we buy today ain't even real food

Problematic for those of us who don't have the heart to kill an animal. Not that I judge hunters, I just could not ever do it.

shawn0712's picture

I know two sisters that are trying to be bow hunters. Mossy oak fashionista type girls. They shot at least 5 deer last year. Never found one of them.
They got pissed off at me when I finally said something.

helloBrooklyn's picture

They don't even retrieve the meat. Those are called animal abusers, not hunters. There's no sport in that.

I'm not gonna try to change your view as everyone is entitled to their opinion but I don't view it as killing an animal I view it as harvesting food to provide for my family.

Nothing against it like I said. I just personally don't have it in me. I even refuse to kill spiders for my fiancée because they're innocent creatures. I set them free.

I'm exactly the same mate......won't kill anything

Counting macros is counting calories.

(4P)+(9F)+(4C)=kcals

I'm still trying to figure out what works best too. Kinda learning this whole bodybuilding thing in general as I go. Best way to do it. Real experience, not just holed up with some book or smartphone

Even while cutting I like to consume high glycemic carbs immediately after training to get that insulin spike. In fact almost all of my carb intake consists of a high carb meal before training and a high carb meal after. That seems to be what works best. The rest of the day is pretty much just some sweet potatoes and broccoli as far as carbs are concerned. Maybe I'm doing it right, maybe not, but it's doing something.

No carbs for breakfast ?

Makwa's picture

If trying to cut, you want to avoid carbs for breakfast. Sometime during the night, your body has switched over from glucose (carbs) as an energy source to burning fat for fuel. As soon as you eat carbs for breakfast the fat burning furnace is turned off and it starts using the carbs you just ate for a fuel source. Prolong that fat burning time by having a high protein moderate fat breakfast instead and avoid the carbs. Ham and cheese omlet is perfect.

helloBrooklyn's picture

What if you train right after breakfast though? I don't know about you but weight training in a carb depleted state is brutal for me

Makwa's picture

I need fuel for a productive workout so I would be eating a well balanced breakfast which would include carbs. They would be higher GI carbs to restock the glycogen in my liver and muscle tissue at a more rapid pace so they would be ready to go if I was to workout shortly afterward (say like an hour or so after eating). But if your ultimate goal is shredding up fast, limit the morning carbs before your workout. I would also be drinking down copious amounts of BCAA's pre and intra if doing that though.

Wrong pal
At rest your body preferably runs on fat, not carbs

helloBrooklyn's picture

I train in the early morning so my pre WO meal happens to be my breakfast
