Do you tell doctors you take steroids?

ad

Hi guys, was wondering if you guys tell your doctor if you take steroids or not. I am going to get bloodwork and I know my testosterone will be elevated above the normal range and I will probably be questioned. I’m going to my TRT clinic, but I’ve been blasting on my own for about 2 weeks and have been getting really bad anxiety the last few days and want to get everything checked for peace of mind. Starts are 27 years old, 6’1 215 pounds, 8th or 9th cycle. Running 500 mg test a week and 400 eq a week. I was wondering, should I be straight up with them and tell them what I am doing? Could there be any legal consequence if I do? I don’t know if they can report it to authorities or anything like that. Thanks for the feedback!

My doctor knows that I am taking steroids because my wife is a doctor and she hasn't said nothing to me ...

I tell my doctor everything, It helps that he is my TRT doctor too. I run ever change and cycle through him. I trust his opinoin and he always points me in a very well thought out answer.

If your in an area where AAS use/possession is illegal, I personally wouldn't tell them. Everything you tell your doctor is charted and could be used against you later such as your insurance denying to cover you.

I tell any of them I deal with. Haven't had one even care yet. As for a TRT clinic no idea.
If I stop blast/cruise I would have to go back to TRT anyway. I have low test on my per-existing conditions anyway.

Yes I do a doc has Professional secrecy when I start to cycle I write up what I'm using and how many mgs I give this to my doc and a good friend of my so if anything happens to me they now what Im using
But like molinin says I you have an accident I think we burned by insurance

Awesome response. This is what I was looking for, super helpful! Thanks my man! Hopefully everything is ok with my bloodwork and they don’t question me lol

IrishMack's picture

Wait, if your going to a trt clinic why are you worried? Unless you are self prescribed then yes be very worried.

Rackdeads95's picture

I have TRT prescribed to me, I use that in between blast periods instead of doing a PCT. haven’t blasted in a long time and just started and bam, anxiety and sides at lower doses than I used to take.

Where I live steroids are legal to use so I tell the doc by every check what I actually take, it's easier for him to find a solution if anything in the bloodwork looks bad and he doesn't give me any medication which I wouldn't need at all.

Thank you, I thought that might be the case, that’s why I was asking you guys on here!

A Side effect of EQ is increase in anxiety.

Well I’m never running it again lol

I hear you man. I suffer from anxiety too. The only thing I can say for me is that it subsides after a few weeks but the first few as it’s kicking in can be unpleasant.

For me it was more general anxiety. First thing in the morning nervousness, nothing super extreme were I thought I needed to seem or treated.... no case of elevated BP, vision or trouble breathing issues. I was also using about 600mg per week.

Hey man, if you have anxiety there’s a good chance EQ will make it worse, just throwing that out there. I ran it years ago at 600 per week and was fine, never had anxiety back then. Now I have slight anxiety sometimes, hopped on EW at 400 a week and feel like I am going to die for the last 3 days, rushed myself to the ER and everything lol. I’ve never had a panic attack before but they really are no joke, just take it into consideration bro. NPP May be a better option for a bulk if that’s ur goal.

Tanked estro causing anxiety?. This is why I ask. Currently 125 test c and 30 ish mg eq just looking to find a happy with the estro control. Was working great then my shoulder starts to feel like is falling off (just dry and crackly like sand in there) . Crazy anxiety (panic attacks) . Mood issues and a little sex weirdness. Not available to get bloods at the time. But I'm thinking I've crashed my estro. This dose I dropped the eq. Will see in a week of my shoulder is good but my nips will be glowing red.

Dry skin and lips, cracking joints are a def sign of low estro. Gotta have some test base in the stash for moments like this. Or prop but test base works way better as it's in and out without fucking up your baseline too much

To think of it I have been a little dry. Just blamed it on the masking making me vapory

Fas far as your plan goes, I don’t know what your previous cycle experience is so hard to say. If you’re not planning on running high doses you might not need to run masteron with it for e2 sides. Equipoise only aromatizes at about 20% the rate of testosterone I believe. Always run as minimal gear as possible that still allows you to progress, which will depend on how experienced or advanced you are. As far as tren goes, I do not recommend it. I don’t think anybody should run tren unless they are about 8 weeks out from a show and have no other tools to manipulate as far as food, cardio, etc.

Bro, I can see how it’s nerve racking to talk to your doc about this. The media has made doctors so scared to even prescribe it. However, @Greg is right, HIPPA does not allow doctors to share that info with authorities. But seeing that your on your 9th cycle, bet it’s pretty obvious that you have dabbled in it.

Personally I do not tell my doctor, but I think he knows due to the flux in weight and size over the years. My personal suggestion is to maybe share a little, and if your doc throws a fit, move on to a new one.

Also if your labs are off, it would be smart to tell them. But get ready for the “drugs are bad” speech. Bro the authorities don’t care about what you use. So unless your currently being investigated, you have nothing to worry about. Cops don’t sit outside of your docs office waiting for a big guy to exit the building. So just relax, cops are not after you- unless your selling to people who snitch- then I would be quite.

Hope that helps bro. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

I tell my Dr everything I do down to diet , exercise , drug combos , schedule ,and absolutely everything else . In some places this is not possible but where I live it is and I take full advantage !

Rackdeads95's picture

Well are steroids legal where u live? Not sure how that helps with my question lol

Greg's picture

Well, are steroids legal where you live? could help with the answer you're looking for.

HIPAA - Google it. Concerns your concern about privacy and talking to your doctor.

He helped because you wondered if you should be honest with your doc. And he's saying he is, and is all the better for it.

Manshit's picture

Exactly ! It doesn’t matter if they are legal or not .If you don’t tell him you blasting then he will prescribe you less TRT next time . Always be honest with you Dr. unless you are on a one payer system that can be affected with your honesty . I am at a buyers club for my TRT and my Dr is a libertarian.

Rackdeads95's picture

Didn’t mean any disrespect by it but he said that it’s not possible in certain areas, which lead me to believe he might live somewhere they are legal. If I lived where they are legal I wouldn’t be worried about asking them for help or having them share info with cops lol. But I guess I’m just being paranoid

Greg's picture

Hence my mention of HIPAA and my request that you help yourself by looking it up.

What good is it to have a system where the patent can't feel safe confiding with his doctor? They can't share anything with anybody, not even your wife, unless you sign a waver.

You're uninformed. That's why you're paranoid.

Manshit's picture

The way I see it if you hide things from you Dr.you are only hurting yourself .

press1's picture

It's highly likely your anxiety is being caused by the E.Q. 2 weeks in and it will be noticeable by now and if it is that it will only get worse. Try not pinning the E.Q for 10 days and see how you feel. For the actual muscle growth you get from it it's really not worth all the sides of headaches, BP increase, Hemocrit rise, anxiety etc

Rackdeads95's picture

Yea I’ve ran it in the past and never had any issues, but I’m in a different spot in life now lol I think I’m going to drop it permanently and find something else to run.
