+ 17 Do you have Estro issues?
I wrote this simple little post because bigrigger wanted something to help the guys that can’t afford bloodwork to have as a guideline to recognize high or low estrogen…Now I don not encourage you to depend on these S/S as the gauge of confirmation of high or low estrogen because I am a firm believer in BLOODWORK…precycle, on cycle, and post cycle because it lets you know whats going on inside and how your body is reacting to the compounds used…Here are common signs that you can have to let you know you have an estro issue
Signs and symptoms of High Estrogen in Males
1) No libido
2) Water Weight
3) Increased BP due to water weight
4) Depression
5) Altered mental thought processes
6) Urinary problems due to prostate enlargement
7) Impotence
8) Fatigue
9) Allergies
10) Strength loss or cessation
11) Sore, puffy nipples leading to gynocomastia
12) Cessation of muscle growth
Signs and symptoms of Low Estrogen in Males
1) Joint pain and crackiness
2) Depression bc estrogen helps increase serotonin in the brain
3) Mania in some cases
4) Lethargy and fatigue
5) Lack of libido - but powerful erections in the case of sufficient DHT levels.
6) Heart rhythm changes - fluttering sensation due to lower blood pressure.
7) Skin changes--hyperpigmentation or pale-looking skin—excessive dry skin
8) Hair follicle inflammation - excessive hair growth.
9) Anxiety, obsessive, impulsive, irritable
10) Blunted emotion.
11) Lack of trust for others and jealousy
Now keep in mind that you may have one or two of these and maybe none at all for the moment, BUT this DOES NOT mean that there isn’t something going on…That’s what make bloodwork more of a necessity rather than an option in my book

What about acne as a sign of high estro? I have been running adex for a basic 500mg cycle. I have been experiencing fairly serious shoulder acne but am reluctant to increaes my adex because I dont have any other noticeable signs of high estro. I really dont want to crash it. I know I need blood work, but I just dont have a way to get it done for another month or so. Unanticipated financial issue has me on empty for now.
I am asking about acne because a friend said he had the same problem and after trying everything else (short of accutane) he switched his AI to aromisan and the acne subsided very quickly. When I looked more in to I see youtube videos of people talking about steroidal acne coming from estrogen as well.
Hope ya'll dont mind the bump of this post. Seems like one that is valued in the rotation.
jt144977Take your adex everyday. If it doesn’t go away you can try switching to stane but it’s probably just a side effect your prone to. Stane is quite stronger, I always noticed my joint were sore the day after taking it and strength would slightly decrease just for the heads up. I prefer adex

Anongood call.... I can't decide where my levels are since i'm new to this compound ( EQ ) but I also know until I stabilize with the long esters there's not much of a point to get bloods. Frustrating.

AnonCould you make an aproximation as to what number change on a blood test would have resulted in a noticeable physical change ? In other words, my estro was 22.5, If I thought it was having an impact and wanted to lower or raise it, do you think would I notice if it went to 32.5 or 12.5 ? Or do the numbers have to change by a greater amount to alter the physical effects we feel ?
tread-mAgree with CD below and will add, there is a range so don't expect to nail a perfet 30 at all times. The range for example may be 20-50 and outside of that you have something you feel different. Be VERY conscious of how you look and feel when you take bloods even if you need to record that. Cardio for example while ai don't thin is mentioned above is a very nice indicator for me. I can tell through cardio alone if estro is creeping up. The least little water and mine declines and if I get very much by not taking care of business, especially in say a tren run, my cardio cfan go to shit over night. But just be very aware of how you feel when doing bloods, that may be wortha write all to itself.
AnonAOk great, I am trying to get a handle on all this and am seeing now the importance of logging or making notes. I will add that to my notes then. I assume you get winded more easily as estro goes up , or is it more a bp thing ?
tread-mWell for one, if water starts to come on then my cardio starts to stress due to the fact you have more pressure against all your blood vessels such as squuezing a hose with your hand and the water has a harder time getting through. That of course creates higher blood pressure. So even just monitoring bp alone is a very nice help in the overall inicators . so the AI alone controls so many sides all by itself and that starts with estro and shbg. Of course aside of sides shbg has to be in place proper or it starts binding your test ujp making it unavailable.
cdaddy7That's the part that gets real tricky bc everyone is different and most definitely may display no signs when the number is astronomical or is rock bottom but usually It's very individualized just like tread stated below ....It's the part of having certain S/S and having bloodwork numbers to compare them to to make that approximation...that takes time and consistent bloods to isolate that

How much time would you suggest between blood work ? In other words, if I upped my AI dose , how long would you give it to stabalize before retesting ?
cdaddy7It takes time bro start with a pre for your baseline numbers...that way you know where to start and your normal numbers....then repeat about 4-6 weeks in then look at the number and see just how you feel and mark that down if its abnormal and sides are present..adjust your dosages a little to relieve the symptoms...then post cycle to assure that numbers are within range and that will also tell u if your PCT was optimal and you build from there by going with the adjustments for the next cycle and so on...its taken all of the 5 years that I been on the bloodwork train to just find out exactly bout me...You have to decide ultimately if this is long or short term for you bc if you are on the in and out then not much sense in taking the roadmap of bloods bc they will be inconsistent

I'm glad this thread took off. I've been having more issues since off cycle and on to trt. Just can't find the sweet spot on 200 per week as I could on 500 per week. Adex .25 e3d on cycle was good but now on the trt dose can't seem to find it. Got anastrazole will switch over from the adex that seems to strong. Awaiting blood test results that should tell me exactly what's going on. I thought this would a popular post. Glad tread chimed in. All you guys expertise makes for a most interesting read!

tread-mNice write CD, I have used a phrase around here often "roadmap". For the guys thinking you have to have bloods once a month from now on let me add this and further explain again this phrase roadmap. When you cycle you have occurances that are specific to you. Maybe you and 2 other friends are near identical in build and habits but you have symptoms they don't or he tother way around. This is the importance of roadmapping your symptoms with bloods and roadmapping your in cycle AI etc. As you do bloods over time in a few cycles you begin to get snapshots that your mind records. such as, your estrogen is at 130 and you knew how you felt when you read those bloods and you knew your symtoms. Over time you begin to almost know what those bloods will read with your experience in "roadmapping with bloods and symptoms". That is power in that you need less bloods over time but much more powerful in that your cycles get better and better. Such as I know when to increase or decrease my AI based on signs doing far fewer bloods than I once did and can read whats going on in my own body via water or emotions or vascularity or overall feeling just very powerful effective cycles once you have roadmapped your own needs through bloods. I may do bloods a couple times a yr now to where the new guy would benefit greatly from 3 or even 4 in a cycle. And one inbetween then one before next cycle and a couple more during etc. It seems expensive but it saves you in the long run from running shitty cycles and saves you a lot of heartache in wondering what the hell is going on with your health as things are wrong. If you don't roadmap and learn you will be guessing from now on and never have the effectiveness many do. If something feels wron, getg bloods. Next time you feel the same way you know what it is. Something else not right next time, find out what it is with bloods. Soon you will know your body so well you can almost catch problems before they occur which is in part what your AI is doing on cycle and btw, you are roadmapping that usage as well with your bloods and able to dial in your estro and SHBG much closer based on how you feel in the future.cleaner cycles, cleaner living , healthier roll !
cdaddy7I am right there with you T, that bloodwork is the key element in getting to know your body....and u are exactly right thru time and trial and error that bloodwork will zero you in the compounds that effect u the best or worst....u said it best when u said that bc of the bloodwork and related symptoms at that number u can almost accurately guess-timate where that number is and know just what to do and what adjustments can be made to bring you back into optimal range...thank-you T, for your wise input always...love when u show up and broaden the view in such a beneficial way +1

BostonGreat great writeup. But i just gotta say...how the fuck can we as juicers be able to dop hundreds of dollars on gear but cant spend 50 bucks on a blood test???? That doesnt make sense to me at all.
Here in Canada with universal health care you cannot go out and buy a blood test without a dr. Even then they don't have to show you it. Tried to get trt but my dr. told me my test levels were normal for someone my age. Almost had a terrets fit in her office. She refused to show me the numbers. I am working on someone who works in the system to get my bloods under the table.
cdaddy7I here you and I am a firm believer in them....I am waitin to start my cycle bc of bloodwork and one more piece of gear...I will not start without knowing my bloods....and the homelab kkts are cheap as Hell now....I started doing labs over 5 years ago and it has changed everything for me...I will never go without bloodwork pre, on-cycle and post....never again
