Damn personal trainers

ad

Ok guys I'm sure you have this same issue going on at a gym near you. What is the deal with personal trainers making up all sorts of crazy ass workouts for their clients? Just today I saw a guy with two benches, 3 sets of dumbells, and resistance bands all incorporated together. The client looked like a damn idiot who was jumping, twisting, squating all at once. I had to sit back and watch this and ask myself exactly what was trying to get accomplished with these so called "exercises"! Of course it just so happens that they had to clear half the gym so this one guy could do a workout.....Directly in front of the dumbells I needed.

Do I fault people for wanting to gain knowledge on proper lifting techniques and getting that extra motivation to working out by hiring a trainer, absolutely not. But I drives me crazy that the fundamentals these people are being taught is basically the most crazy workouts a person could imagine. What happened to good old fashioned bench, squats, and dead lifts??

so true, a lot of these workouts are meant to the regular joe that wants to stay healthy while having an interactive work out. Its def not for the meat head or rec bodybuilder, we know better.. it prob takes a lot of creativity to come up with these crazy workouts but, for me.. if it don't grow me... don't show me.!

Different people different goals. But I think that a lot of personal trainers that are new want to get out there and come up with these crazy insane workouts to try and make an "intense" name for them self. Now I personally have several friends that are personal trainers. One of them just got 1st in his class and also won the overall. Now I have worked with this guy in and out of the gym and followed his very own personal diet and training regiment. There was nothing crazy about it. Just some things that I was new to and reintroduced to as well. Time under tension training and resistance bands/chains. Very basic though. Squats/bench/deads and so on.

Now it also depends on the demographic that the personal trainer is trying to appeal to. Not everybody wants to be a body builder. Not everybody wants to be Crossfit. Some people just want to be able to do everyday things and have the muscle and energy to do so as well as a health cardiovascular system.

Same thing goes for AAS. Not everybody wants to be Jay Cutler. Not everyone wants to be Phil Heath. People use AAS for different reasons.

I don't not see a need for crazy as workouts. But people and trainers are going to jump on the newest fucking fad and swear by it! It's bullshit. When you get a client you show them the basics and proper lifting techniques and build them up to the next level. But the shit that you explained is completely unnecessary. I hate it when they do that. Shit like that will cause a client to get hurt.

Now I'll shut up cause I know I'm rambling. Fucking preworkout and adderall.:-/
