Cutting phase Cycle - Run Testosterone High or Low?
ad
Currently on 90mg cruise at 800ng/dl total. When I was on 150mg my total was 1100. Should I run my test higher? or keep it at a lower dose for this cutting cycle?
Also gonna throw in L carnitine. Anything else I should put into my cutting cycle? I want abs.

What is your cycle history?
How long you been off? Bloods tested? Prior gear used? Lotta missing info
Ive never done steroids. I got ON trt in september due to me being low for a while. at 24 years old I had two lab results in the 200's. And with perfect diet and supplementation and NOT OVERTRAINING, I only got it up to like 370. Still had no libido and no energy.
Here were my most recent labs at 150mg. I have since dropped dose to 90mg since I was worried about hematocrit (although I think this was high because I 1. was bulking and pushing food. 2. trained (and had a high carb day) the day before the test, and 3. had my electrolytes with sodium the morning of the test...)
Total Testosterone: 1101 ng/dl
Free Testosterone: 293.3 pg/mL
SHBG: 27.4 nmol/L
DHT: 57 ng/dl
DHT Free 6.84 pg/mL
Pregnenalone: 22 ng/dl
DHEA 598 ug/dl
Prolactin 15.5 ng/ml
Estradiol, sensitive: 37.8 pg/ml
THYROID:
TSH: 2.75
T3: 3.4 pg/ml
I think its good you loweted the dose to avoid long term issues. If you live avg lifespan then you have decades of trt ahead.
Cutting is 100% food and cardio. Stairmaster for me has been the fastest fat burner AFTER gym session. Muscles during gym session burn carbs. And cardio if the "fat burn range" of heart rate burns fat. The body will use the cheapest source first. So use the carbs up on weights then aim to get to hour on stairs.
Dialling your macros is key and i saw Makwa posted a ton on that. It looks like hes a pro bodybuilder too so youre reading hardcore info from a person living the life.
My opinion with your trt is get down to 12% THEN on just your trt dose run anavar at 50mg split 25am and 25pm. Var is amazing at muscle retention, killing appetite and boosting strength. Again its gym and cardio with foods on point but that var is amazingly strong in holding the raw muscle.
Thats my 2cents on a new user. Its literally sweat value.
Thanks sir. You seem smart and like to be safe with this stuff.
I love the TRT and gains and gym and all that but not at the cost of my health. I’ve been mildly overweight for a while from bulking and not doing cardio, so I think once I cut down I’m just gonna maintain that forever, no more bulking, pushing food, BP going up, thick blood, etc.
Bingo!! Plus once youre leaned out you can modify gym and food to still make quality gains without becoming a pin board. Trt keeps you at 25 for life in the hormone area and im sure youve seen plenty of natty guys rockin beach body year round. Read what you can here at eroids and be smart. Enjoy!
And just bc I’m asking everyone this, is it possible to stay on TRT without donating blood, to manage high Hematocrit and RBC?
I’m totally fine with running a lower dose of TRT. Just don’t want to have to worry about thick blood and constantly donating
Another huge reason I got on was because my hair is already thinning and I want to take finasteride, but I already had low testosterone to begin with which was a recipe for disaster. So TRT first, then add the finasteridr
TRT is within normal range. If you are consistently within normal range (you are not) you don't have to worry about RBC
Good point. Ok, I will stay at 90mg and re test soon then.
The 1101 total T level was when I was doing 150mg
90mg should bring me down
Better to over correct. drop to 50mg and work your way back up. If you are testing early morning before pinning your high levels could be 35% higher (1101 total low level : 1486 total high level)
And that early morning, before pin value, should NOT be higher than 900? Is what you’re saying?
It should not be close to, or over, 650 (650 + 35% = 877.5) 877 would be your theoretical high level.
e.g. your daily T level range could be 650 to 877
at 900 as a low your peak could be 1215
It may not sound high but you're saying your levels were in the mid 200's so you're basically 3x what you were before and in a normal range where you should have no sides. You can always blast 2 or 3 times a year to maximize anabolic results.
TheApexCowboyI would think regardless of higher/lower doses of T, cutting is more dependent on diet, or burning more calories than you consume. I have a bud than runs Adrol with Test. Although he is bulking, he still looks pretty f'in good, because he eats clean.
Higher testosterone leads to increased metabolic function.
It also has the potential, person and experience-dependent, to raise estrogen levels when not monitored that increases water retention resulting in visible body mass increase in the form of water weight.
Diet, as in, what foods are consumed and the way the body reacts to those foods will play a large role in how visually one perceives their progress in the short term.
The gold standard of diet, is low carbs, high protein, and low estrogen, will reduce water, shed fat with high intensity workouts.
There are many factors involved.
The question asked is vague and to provide accurate advice more information is needed.
Tell about the experience that has been made in diet and exercise.
Progressive is the answer, as you restrict macro count, if you see you body composition is changing for the worse increase the dose. Everything should be gradual.
Worry more about diet, bf is what determines visible abs or not.
