Clear liquid diet advice.

ad

I have to be on a clear liquid diet soon and wondering how I should approach it. I'm coming off cycle so I want to keep my calories and protien up. It's only a day or two but i want to retain what I've gained.

Isopure makes a clear liquid (slight color based on flavor) protien shake with 40 grams of protien. Anyone know if this would be ok. I called the doc office they said as long as it's clear it should he fine. It's not like you can see clumps of protien.

Anything else I can eat or drink aside from jello and chicken broth? Blah

Maltodextrin is sort of clear after blended? And a natural unflavored protein

Isopure is pretty good stuff. I use it when I can't eat anymore but still need more protein. It is WPI so it is fast acting. I wouldn't sweat going a day or two below your optimum protein intake. That short of time isn't going to be a deal breaker for maintaining gains. Just get back to your normal diet as soon as you can and you will be fine.

liquids you can see through, but milk is usually acceptable, get high protein full cream milk.

Milk proteins clump up in the stomach and that is not what he needs when they go into his stomach to look around.

im preety sure milk is acceptable bro, that being one acception on a clear liquid fast.

You're right in most cases, just not when they're doing an endoscopy.

You're on the right track with what you listed, but why do you have to be on a clear liquid diet and for how long?

Tomorrow and part of Friday. It's for a medical procedure. My colon and stomach are going on TV.

Any thoughts on the isopure

Got ya! I figured that, but just wanted to make sure you weren't going on it for a medical issue or the like.
I think isopure is great stuff and fits the bill for what you're doing. They have a bunch of pre-made protein drinks as well. I think they make a chicken broth from their protein as well.
I know you want to keep you weight up, but I wouldn't overdo it on the protein during this time. Just do enough to keep your energy up. I like to fast for a day, once a month and I find that it brings great results. It cleans me out and tends to jump start my metabolism a bit. Best of luck!
P.S. I hope they use a different cameras when they look at your colon and stomach!
