+ 2 Any digestion tips.
ad
Hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I was just looking for tips on digestion or products anyone might suggest. I've tried apple cider vinegar, many types of probiotics/prebiotics nothing sees to work. I'm just getting very frustrated no matter what I eat I feel bloated/gas or the shits. I feel like my stomach is holding me back because I can't always eat when my stomach is messed up so I resort to shakes a lot which I hate doing.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

RustyhookerAnytime we had a sour gut as kids the great gma started slicing papaya or pineapples. It always seemed to work quickly.
Process of elimination. Something or in more extreme cases multiple foods are causing digestive issues. Take inventory of what you eat and start eliminating one by one.
ransom2584This should be something you need to ask you physician about. What is your diet like? Lots of protein from shakes? Lactose issues? Maybe even irritable bowel syndrome? Crohns disease? Are you taking a pre-workout? Did this condition always exist?
Do you see what I am getting at? We need way more information than just, "I have the shits when I eat".
No need to come off so hot just looking for some feedback but understand what you're saying I would go to the doctor but I currently don't have insurance. At this point its just a big guessing game.
Fresh pinapple. Stay away from processed foods and high glycemic carbs.
What's the reasoning for pineapple? My diet is fairly clean but thanks for the info.
I don't mean to be rude, but when two members with over 7,000 karma points combined, suggest the same remedy I would listen.
Who said I wasn't listening? Asked a simple question? Lol.

Food sources imo are best...
That right there was very helpful. Answered a few questions I was looking for today. Kudos Sir. Ty
RustyhookerThe glycemic charts cover all foods but posting a whole book is impossible. So much info out there to learn.
Read up on digestive enzymes... You'll learn a lot
I have actually tried those too before forgot to mention. I feel like when I tried those products it helped a little with gas and bloat but if I missed a cap with a meal it was game over.
Consistency is key with it. I had the same issues as you... I read up on my literature, cut lactose, cut gluten (eat it very seldom), cut alcohol, and started eating whole organic foods. Change diet and try the enzymes.
You've found the solution to your own question, to an extent, don't you think?
If bromelain capsules helped with your digestion and gas problem, even just a little bit, why would you miss taking them with meals?
Edit: Digestive enzyme capsules typically have some form of pineapple (see bromelain), though not always, but have evidently provided you with at least some relief. I think it would be conducive to your digestive health for you to continue taking them, based on the limited information you have provided about your particular situation.
