+ 4 Anadrol pulsing myth
I keep seeing people swear by pulsing Anadrol because it supposedly “resets receptor sensitivity” after it stops working. I finally dug into the actual studies and that claim looks pretty weak.
First off, Anadrol has notoriously low direct binding affinity to the androgen receptor. That’s been known forever. Check the 1984 Saartok study. Yet it still kicks ass for mass and strength. It works through strong downstream AR signaling and protein synthesis. Low binding doesn’t automatically mean it “desensitizes” your receptors in 2 weeks.
More importantly, AAS in general tend to upregulate androgen receptors in muscle, not downregulate them. A 2022 review in Muscles peer reviewed scientific journal went over this and said the whole “chronic AAS causes receptor burnout” idea is flawed. You actually get more receptors and better response with continued use, not less.
Clinical trials back this up too. They’ve run anadrol continuously for 12–32+ weeks in patients and kept seeing lean mass and strength gains without any need to pulse for a “reset.” Gains slow down eventually because of sides, not because your receptors magically stop listening after 14 days.
So yeah, pulsing can still be useful for giving your liver and blood pressure a break if you want to run Anadrol longer overall. That part makes sense. But the idea that it magically resets sensitivity and makes each blast hit like the first one? That’s pretty much a myth that has been spreading around on this forum. What do you guys think?

Anadrol starts to work is best at 2 weeks. For me. It makes me feel like dog shit though. Hard time waking up in the morning and lethargy. But it makes me beast in the gym. A bit like tren. Lol.. so i just keep doing it until it gets to a point i just can't take it anymore. Lol whether that's 8 weeks or 16... same with tren and anything else. I can only do about 5 or 6 tops on Superdrol. But dbol i can use that indefinitely so it's good but it's bad. I've used dbol for about 10 months pretty much non stop. And felt fine. Lol
That's how I feel with anadrol. I can run it my whole cycle. Dbol I've tried four different times and the longest I've made it is 9 days before it kills my appetite, or makes me too tired, or is about to end my marriage
How much dbol are you taking???
Just 25
Next time ramp up lol. Good dbol will put your dick in the dirt if you aren’t used to it.
So that's your thing then. I like adrol effects better the physical part. But dbol feels better. I wouldn't mind if adrol felt better. Your lucky.
Do you have to screw around with ai when you take dbol?
Usually i take 2 or 3mg week of Arimidex. Depending how much test and other things I'm taking. And that usually does it even when traking dbol. I just take it the days i do shots. I've taken it while only taking Proviron and some mast and was fine with no ai also. I stopped having any estrogen type issues awhile ago. Idk if i just got used to it or i got everything dialed in. An older dude i know who been doing gear since the 80s never take ai or serms and he never had any problems with estrogen effects. He'd take thousands of mg test, dbol, tren, anadrol. He never had gyno and he would never have problems getting it up, from what he told me when i asked. I find that pretty crazy cuz after so long on Tren it starts giving me issues in that department no matter what i take to try and fix things. Also if I'm taking crazy high doses.
Yeah people are just different man. Shit sometimes I'll do the exact same cycle I had before and it will affect me completely different
Def... nothing beats actual experience. Most things that we do. Hadn't been tested on people. Especially at the doses. So you can read allot. And try to get an idea of what to expect. But you never know until you do it yourself. Most of those studies even are just based on the majority and how they reacted. You have people in them that have diff results/ reactions. So even that shit isn't 100% accurate for what they're doing. It's all just best guess. And narrowed down. Nothing is 100%certain.
I pulse because bp....kills appetite....turns on e2 receptors. E2 is pubmed cited as well. Good blocker will help if bp and hunger isn't effected. Patients needed android use it long term as cited as well.
Pulsing, front loading, drying out receptors, aspirating, terristus tribulus, hoes can be housewifes, tapering. Stuff we tell ourselves to make us feel better but science doesnt actually have the numbers to pick choose over the conservative way to do it.
My buddy was fourth out of five dudes while running a train on his future trad wife. She said he was the most special of the group because of how jacked he was from pulsing anadrol with his tribulus terristus base.
We have to believe

I can smell this picture... and it smells like old swiss.
LMAO I wonder just how many Cocks that woman has had in her now
732 after I get done with her
Didn't she do a 1000 Guy Gangbang only a while ago?!
That's impressive. She's just shy of beating my sister then
Gold
That’s it lmao
Haha
Lol well said. I remember back in my teen years trying to get big off of "test boosters"
Brings back memories of Mark McGuire's test booster that turned out to be Dbol and all the ones sold by GNC that were really superdrol. That stuff along with their fake ECA stacker messed with many a man's life.
Yeah I have permanent gyno from that shit
Good write-up, brother.
IMO people get way too obsessed with this “receptor reset” talk when a lot of the time the real issue is:
systemic fatigue, appetite going to hell, BP climbing, digestion getting wrecked, sleep quality dropping, CNS burnout
and not some magical AR shutdown after 14 days ?!?! Lol
You can absolutely get great results from Oxymetholone(Anadrol) in different ways. Pulsing, daily use, preworkout only, etc. But personally I think the more stable and consistent you can keep things, the better the overall progress tends to be.
That said, pulsing can still have practical value IMHO:
less cumulative stress, easier appetite management, gives some health markers a little breathing room, sometimes helps guys psychologically “feel” the compound again
But I agree with you… I don’t buy the whole:
A lot of the old school pulse protocols were more about managing side effects and sustainability than some receptor science breakthrough
BTW Great write-up on Makwa’s pulsing approach for anyone interested:

I've always said this 'Myth' was Utter Fuckin Bollocks on here - I've had countless arguments with Vets and Gurus on here about it LMAO Whenever I've run it I've always just run it like a normal oral - How the Hell can something be more productive when run for 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off??? Its going to be more effective run continuously!! How can a drug only bind for 14 days then need to be given a break?? Bollocks. It always binds weakly anyway ..... All you end up doing is rebuilding the strength back that you lost during the 2 weeks that you previously took off it - Dog Chasing its Tail and all that.
This was the ONLY thing me and Makwa use to butt heads over - you'll see it all over the forums if you look LMAO
Oh I know... It irks me every time I see it. Which is why I decided to put it to rest. That guy isn't very trustworthy either. I stopped reading his posts when I saw him post his workout that he "created" which was actually just an exact copy of Ben pakulskis mi40 programs but he was taking the credit for it
So this is bullshit? Well I’ll be damned
https://www.eroids.com/forums/steroids-qa/anabolic-steroids/why-you-shou...
I think it's bullshit if you think you will accrue tissue doing that. For strength properties, I think it would work. But what is the point? One week you can bench 350 for reps and the next week you can only bench 275 for reps?
As an aside, I came across this video this morning thats the best instructional video on Bench Set up that I've ever seen - see the difference in his 315 lift with and without torquing his body up properly:

Ignore the Faggy kid in it ....
Do ya see my comment on there?!! Lol I stick to my guns ...... You can to war - but only if you have to LMAO 'Jon Bon ....
What? I’m lost man.
I'm singin Bon Jovi to ya mate
Hahaha I’m taken, sing that shit to someone else hahah
Are you tellin me you are an American who has NEVER listened to the Bon Jovi New Jersey Album that was released during the pinnacle of Rock???!! Are you really a Muslim?? LMFAOOO!!
Hahahaha I don’t know how to respond…. “Yes i know bob jovi”
“No, im not a haj”
I’m in a Amon Amarth (Viking metal) and Mudvayne (death metal?) kick currently..
Bon Jovi and adrol don’t mix that well at the gym hahahahahhahahaha
'Not Falling!!!! Early 5FDP and Killswitch engage both awesome training music
Don’t forget Lamb of God and I Prevail! Those bring the violence out!
You wanna get a good pump, throw on some lady gaga
I never heard of the desensitization thing for pulsing adrol. The 2 week on/2 week off pulse was so health markers could stay in check and able to run it for an entire 20-24 week growth cycle. Otherwise the reflux, BP, liver strain, loss of appetite, etc become too much to handle. Lets you get little jumps in growth every 2 weeks to push past strength and growth plateaus.
But fuck it if studies show 20 straight weeks then that’s all I need to hear to run it all cycle….lol jk
This is very subjective, but I don't think anadrol would have enough time to build up to actually accrue tissue. It can definitely increase strength in a matter of days, but what's the point if it's just temporary? I really like anadrol in the fact that it doesn't really bind to your receptors, so it doesn't compete with other compounds. I could be completely wrong on that, but that's just my take
I mean that’s the same reason people say superdrol is pointless outside of peaking for a bb comp. You simply can’t run it long enough to make meaningful accrual happen. Granted if I do the injectable version I can run it for 6-8 weeks straight. Probably longer since bloodwork showed all liver markers still within ref range but lethargy did start to kick in around the 6 week point.
Which sucks bc if it wasn't for the fatigue, it would be such a great compound
The control group in said test study were probably guys with anemia, hence why it’s FDA approved.
That’s a completely different scenario with the dudes maximizing its benefits on this forum
Let me live in my fantasy of running anadrol for 20 weeks straight :(
Interesting enough, in that study, they were taking like 300mg and most of them didn't experience elevated liver markers. I don't believe it said anything about blood pressure but I cannot imagine that looked good. And I dont think it said if they gave them anything for liver. Like did they give them nac through an IV? But if it didn't say it then I doubt they did. But some people on here have elevated liver enzymes on dbol but not adrol and vice versa. Same with superdrol. Like me, I handle superdrol and anadrol fine but I cannot do dbol at all. Makes me super tired.
The “patients” were taking 300mg? Holy shit…. I take 50 pre-workout, that’s EOD, and only for a couple weeks at a time… because once again, I’m trying to keep all my labs in check
I’ll be damned… 300mg… is that a typo? 30mg maybe? 300 sounds like a lot!!!
Larry Wheels use to run 300mg per day all the time - it was a staple for him lol
No sir. In the study it lists that they gave them 1-5mg/kg
