Karma system
I'm sure someone will come by and say this is posted in the wrong area as they often do but this is exactly what it says. Website feedback. My thoughts on this karma system. As far as I see all the karma system is is rated on people who have been on this site for a long period of time and who make comments that are liked by other members. It by no means means a person with more karma had more experience, he'll we don't know we really don't know who's on the other end of that keyboard in reality that 40 year old national level bodybuilder with all these years of alleged schooling and personal training experience and 400 karma points could just as easily be a 22 year old regular gym goer who is just pulling info off of a Google search, also to be clear this IS NOT about anyone inpeticular not any members I've zoned out or speaking about, all I'm sayjng is these karma points really do mean little. For some reason it got turned into this mindset like "oh this guys for a ton of karma, he must know is shit and be very trusted" well no not really it means he's at his keyboard all day commenting on several posts making a lot of posts themself. I rather listen and gather info from the guy spending 4 hours in the gym putting in work rather than 4 hours at his computer desk commenting on other peoples statuses. Now sure I think some people on here have some knowledge and are possibly reliable and have some room to talk and I definately also think there are some people here who have a ton of karma who are pulling info off of Google who are keyboard warriors, what am I sayjng? This karma system is faulty, no way to make it perfect, it should either be gone completely, or in some way changed but really this in an anonymous site there is no way to know of the guy with all the karma really has the right experience, so In the end why trust the karma at all???

The issue is it's difficult to come up with an alternative solution. Anyone can be anyone they want on the Internet unfortunately. You have to work out for yourself who knows what they're doing and who doesn't.
I'm getting tired of all the karma posts lately.
Karma is just ONE tool I use in judging someone here and what they say. I actually do a little research on the person and investigate what they say. I don't take what they say as gospel, simply because they have a lot of karma. It's just common sense.
Why so many people get up in arms about their lack of karma and focus on those few that have abused the system is beyond me. It's very easy to figure out who's legit and who's not. Try taking some responsibility about what you see and listen to and you won't have any issues.
The karma system isn't perfect, but it does serve a purpose as a tool and I use it as such.
I don't think too many people care about karma, I myself could care less if I had 600 or 0 also i would say I use 0 info
Found on eroids just on the Basis of Lot of keyboard warriors on here, I do think it's a good place for bloodwork posts and source reviews. As for the karma debate I think it's a popularity contest for the most part, but to each his own I would rarely if ever rely on info found on the net by an Untrusted person who no one knows anything factual about, I think eroids is great for source info and reviews. How karma plays part I think is absurd, I just notice the only people who think it's useful are people who have a lot themself, eh who knows
How about you post some stats, and a little bio. How the hell am I supposed to know if you have experience or are just a 20 something regular dude. If you want more transparency start on your own page.
This post has nothing to do with me so I don't know what that even has to do with anything, all I did was state some facts, I'm not claiming to know everything. So I don't even really know what you just said had to do with anything I said in that post.
You said that high Karma should not be mistaken for having knowledge and experience.
I'm saying we have part of our profile page just for you and me to fill in our stats, pictures, cycle logs etc.
Instead of using Karma to gauge someones experience we should be able to look at their profile and get an idea. Do your part and fill out your profile.

Sounds good. I hope you have some knowledge to share. My karma is a result of posting cycle logs, blood work and solid reviews. My areas of expertise are giving blood, being old, and simple test only cycles.
I mentioned this before. Karma is a double edged sword. It means little on one side and alot on the other side. You have the fools on one end manipulating the system with pictures of 50 dbol they got from a promo and all their buddies upvoting it and then you have the truly knowledgable people who have gained their karma from useful advice and posts that help everybody and add to the collective knowledge of Eroids. A quick look at someones profile will tell you right away if they are just a bullshitter or someone who has actually contributed alot to the community through forum posts. Those people I tend to trust moreso than the former. That karma level they have gained shows they have an understanding of what they are talking about and are good resource especially for the newbs coming to the site and wondering who to trust more until they get to know more people.
I agree to me ones karma has nothing to do with ones knowledge.
I challenge anybody to find a hand full of people that have been on this site longer than me and im not even a level 1 yet lol point is i dont know how people can find this much time to be on the site its crazy. I understand if you are helping people on here i applaud you,i cant cause im stoopid. Othrr people use it as a social tool i dont get it. "Karma" is only used to for 2 things and that is to limit your chances of getting burnt by a src and manipulating src's any body else that has high karma has gotten it through helping and if that is the true intention then you dont need karma for that, my .02 but remember i said im stoopid.
Some of the guys spend more time in here then they do in the gym, it baffles me

They have caught many people in karma scams. Karma whoring i believe.

It does and doesn't .. When people talk U can easily tell the people with knowledge from those who do not .. I've met guys with zero or very littke karma that knew more than high ramking karma whores that only posted pics
