Everything looks ok from what I can recognise apart from your lipid values. Total cholesterol is high and LDL cholesterol is high (HDL is reassuringly in range). Given you've been running drol you should expect your lipid values to be impacted. What was your baseline? Should hopefully rerun to normal once off the drol assuming you didn't have an issue to begin with.
Total Testosterone is about where I would expect it to be for 500mg of Test e. Estro is in range although it is perhaps a bit low. Would be optimal around 100 pmol/l. This is also expected given the AI doses you've been running. Why that dose and have you been running it since day 1?
Thanks Dacky for the feed back
We had a conversation about AI dose in my post on the 17th of may
https://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/steroid-cycles/mid-cycle-bloods...
It came down to you asking for my diet
Which I'm posting below
With regards to the lipids, I've been off the drol for 3 weeks and my lipids were in the normal range before so I'll check them in post cycle bloods
I ran .5mg AI from the beginning and upped it a bit when the test properly kicked in around week 5 as I had gyno symptoms on my last cycle. It's all in the last post.
No gyno this time round so every thing is sweet.
So here's the diet
05.30
100g Jacket pot
100g polenta
40g pork burger
50g liver
1 egg fried
50g bacon
Ketchup
9.00 am
Mixed salad
1 Egg boiled
70g beans
60g salmon (cooked)
50g feta cheese
25g mixed seeds/nuts
11.30
180g beef/pork
120g potato or rice
50g Cheese
50g veg Broccoli/spinage/cauliflower
14.00
180g mince
120g mash sweet potato
50g feta
50g veg
18.00
180g chicken/salmon/beef/pork
100g pots/rice
After training (on training days)
10.30
150g chiken
130g rice
Shake when hungry
300ml milk
40g almond butter
40g natural whey, no addatives
1 egg
1 banana
Hello wire, Dacky pm me and asked me to look at this thread. I have read thru your info. And i have a few questions.
1) Do you measure your blood sugar on a daily basis?
2) What medications and vitamins/supps do you take?
I will be back later.... thank you sir
Thanks MedDx
I have measured my blood sugar for several weeks, several times in the past and I have learned how to keep it stable
I run between 4.5 and 5.2, if I eat take away food I can hit 7
No meds at the moment except 1 40mg Kenalog injection, triamcinolone acetonide for pollen allergy at the beginning of may
My Endocrine doc prescribed metformin for the symptoms I described in my reply to Dacky
But I haven't started taking it as yet
Other than that I get the vits from the varied range of food I eat, so the only supp I take is Vit D and MY AI
I have been experimenting with BCAA in the last few weeks - seems to have upped my water retention and If I take to much to fast I feel it messing with my blood sugar so I'm tuning the quantity and timing at the moment
Thanks
Ah thanks for that. With eroids going down so much I am not always able to find stuff I had commented on previously but I do remember.
So you're lipid values should return to normal after stopping the cycle and best bet is to keep an eye on these as you plan on doing. Regarding your estro if I've done my calculations rights this is at 16 pg/ml. You want it closer to 30 pg/ml (or 100 in pmol/l). So I think you're overdoing the AI and your estro is a bit low. Your growth will suffer as a result and if it gets too low then you will have a host of unpleasant symptoms. So you need to adjust your AI dose. I would certainly at least half your dose and then retest in a couple of weeks. As I mentioned previously drop that lab you were using and get pharma grade adex.
As to your diet - i'd say without being able to see how many grams of protein/carbs/fata you're eating you have no where near enough carbs in there (protein looks low too). Does your nutritionist know you're on gear and if yes does he/she have any experience with those running cycles? Now you mentioned issues with certain types of carbs which you can clearly manage around but you also mentioned issues with insulin spikes. What's going on here? Are you a type 2 diabetic? If so do you take an insulin sensitiser like metformin? Your body's insulin sensitivity is key to growth and so if this is compromised in some way so will your growth on cycle be compromised. There is a lot going on here with you physiologically and you're running cycles. My view is you have a few things to figure out if you're going to continue running cycles to make the risk/reward worthwhile. Happy to keep chatting to you to help you figure some things out and there are some other very knowledgable folk here I hope will chime in.
Thanks Dacky for calling in MedDx
I put my AI Back to 0.5 not itchy nips as yet so I'll run with that.
As for counting carbs and protein I guess I need to dissect every ingredient in the meals.
I waiting for the dietist to do that but she has been stalling saying that the computer program she uses to count is problematic, I will chase her on it.
Maybe I have to do it manual or use an app on my phone. Its just hard to find the time!
Neither My dietist or Endocrine doc know that I'm on the juice if they did they would stop seeing me immediately and the doc would probably report me to the police.
Sweden is a nanny state
the Endocrine doc has prescribed metformin but I haven't started taking it whilst I'm on cycle
I thought I would leave it till I'm done
I can't remember what she called the medical condition but basically she said when my blood sugar rises my body responds with an extreme insulin hit, this sends the blood sugar crashing and hence I get tired and need to pee.
She said I need to keep my blood sugar stable which I do with my diet that I worked through with the dietist
but I still have to live in the real world so she prescribed the drugs to help out when I can't eat clean.
I know I'm complicated and I love the benefit of going on cycle even if I'm not getting the most out of it.
It's a working in progress but I'm tuning it as I go.
Thanks for the info fella. If you can answer MedDx that would be good. I know he has some suggestions. He will tell you it may be a good idea to switch your AI from adex to aromasin and dose it at 12.5mg per day to start possibly increasing to 25mg per day depending on where your estro numbers land. The primary reason for this is that adex is harsh on your lipids. Give your complicated condition and while it is likely your lipids will return to normal post cycle it's better to be as safe as possible here.
I understand your concern around informing your endo and dietician. My suggestion it to take the metformin regardless of being on/off cycle to help stabilise your blood sugar issues. I'm not certain what your condition is but I can only assume it has something to do with reduced insulin sensitivity or you being type 2 diabetic or pre-diabetic. The metformin can only help here. You can experiment a bit with taking some additional carbs in especially around your workouts which will help you grow.
You need to look at your protein intake and this needs to be increased quite a bit in my view. Try and do this with as much whole food sources as possible (lean meat, dairy, fish etc) and one to two scoops of why per day won't hurt but do not rely on protein supplements too much. Given an increase in carbs and protein you may want to drop of some fats - not too many though.
I know it's a pain but download myfitnesspal and get tracking and experimenting with your carbs while on the metformin. You need to take control here given your dietician does not and won't ever have the full picture. It makes no sense to rely on her to plan your nutrition for you. Happy to help in any way I can.
Yep I replied to MedDx already
I already have my fitness pal, that app is the nuts. I already have a lot of info in the app already but its a bit out of date so I need to get on that and get it up to date
At the moment I eat pretty much every to hours and I eat until I gag. I'm trying to stretch mu stomach so I can get more food in. I can get my head around eating more protein but something is going to have to give because as it is now I can't fit any more food in me!
I think my dietist is on the right track even though she doesn't have the full pic, like you the first thing she said when she looked at my diet was that I needed more carb in the morning and when I train.
she's in the process of trying to find a good carb that is not cereal based to work in the plan.
I can up my protein with the shakes I mentioned in my diet list but I'm on around 180 g of meat 3 times a day and it's hard work to be honest. Also don't forget the 140g of meat at breakfast at 6.00am and 70g of salmon at 9.00am
I'll get on the metformin, update my fitness and tune up a bit
thanks for the help, much appreciated
