+ 12 Lazy steroid use

ad

I'm going to pretend to be a new member here. Here are my stats and background. Forget it's really me for a bit ok?

30 years old, 6ft, 170lbs, 15% BF. Been lifting for 6 months now, hit a plateau, can't make any gains any more so I got myself some juice. I'm not going mad, it's a conservative cycle of test / deca at low doses. I may "throw in" some orals depending on how it goes.

My training is great, I'm in the gym 2 hours a day 5 days per week. My diet is in check, (I've heard bros like that phrase and it will help me fit in). I have a protein shake and oats for breakfast, chicken and rice for lunch, then a meat and vegetable dinner. I train in the evenings and have another protein shake post workout.

So, my plateau. I've gained 10lbs, but now I can't gain any more. I'm a hard gainer / crap genetics / various other excuses that make it much harder for me than it is for the rest of you, so you see I HAVE TO use gear. Don't try and talk me out of it, I've already got it from a bro, (got that bro word in again, these folk will think I'm a badass now). I need help with my cycle setup and pct, (whatever that is, some sort of sexually transmitted disease by the sound of it), and anything else my bros, (got it in again), think I need to get or know.

Thanks bros, (definitely one of the gang now).

Obviously this is meant to be "tongue in cheek", but what's wrong here? It's not just eroids, I see this in the gym constantly now. Owning one has really opened my eyes to the fact that a massive majority of steroid users are nowhere near using up their natural potential. There are kids in my gym on gear that have less meat on them than a chicken nugget. They barely stress their bodies when they train then wonder why they aren't growing. Part of me wants to ban them all, but it's probably not the best business manoeuvre ever.....

Go have a look at the profiles of guys like Italian, Makwa and Tonyt, (hope you fellas don't mind me using you as examples). Look at the density and the maturity of what they've carved out in their pics. Then go and look at the self pics section or better still some of the utter clown behaviour in the cycle logs. You'll see what I mean. These guys built a solid base, then finished off the last 10% with gear. Now go and find someone like that Bostin Lloyd lad. You see the difference? I train 20 year old kids with better physiques who haven't touched gear.

I'll just come out with it, it's lazy. That's what a lot of people are these days, lazy. Lazy people irritate me, which is generally quite a tough thing to do."Muscles in a bottle", that's not what steroids are. Build a base, train hard, eat well and when you TRULY start to get at least near your natural potential, maybe, just maybe, consider AAS use. That guy at the top, my "alter ego", he's not ready. He probably never will be. He's lazy and he probably doesn't have what this lifestyle requires. He wants the result with none of the work.

If you're "that guy", I'm not helping you with steroids. I'll help you with diet and your training, but no gear for "lazy people"

Mrcoolbeans's picture

Unfortunately there will always be that group. I get all the time in the gym, how much protein you eat I cant gain anymore or loose BF etc. its like first of all, i see you in here for 2 hours, and only about 45 of that your training....and even at that, your not going hard. And on top of even that, your diet isnt set up right at all. I have even friends that are like this and i straight up tell them the straight truth and they rub it off like whatever.
For example, i always train by myself( just always have) and finally somewhat of a friend said ill train with you man, i need to get big. So he tries and I trained my back and bis the other day and he got there late after i was done with one complete set of pulldowns. And he left before we got to biceps.... and said man, ya if i worked out like this i would be huge....I just shook my head thinking your doing half my workout, and then he obviously doesnt think of the other 50% that goes into this DIET! Pisses me off and thats why I blow people off now half the time in the gym asking for advise cause 9 out of 10 ill see post (pizza and beer for dinner) literally 4 days out the week.
ok, im ending this rant, sorry

Been out of the forums for a while. It got to full of bullshit. But I must say I have missed yours and Rusty's commentary. So far glad to get back into helping people. See how long it lasts though. There is still no shortage of no it all a with no fucking experiance. check you chaps later. Bump!

SlowBro's picture

awesome post brother. Gear should be used to enhance a physique that is at is potential, not as a shortcut to build a physique. more and more i see people wanting to run these crazy cycles, complaining that they cant build any new mass. my offseason cycles are VERY simple, basic, and not over the top. and have been mostly the same for a few years, and i make great progress.

another point is that intensity in the gym is dead. there are a HANDFUL of guys i know who train with true intensity, and even though they might not be genetic freaks, their physique always reflects their training. i let a younger guy tag along with me on legs the other day. he told me he had to go to the bathroom, and never came back. guys dont want to push themselves day in and day out.

awesome post!

I am nowhere near as experienced as many of these guys, nor do I know everything or have the perfect physique(far from it.) I am not a pro, but have learned and applied a lot of knowledge from guys like Catalyst and guys like RustyHooker, who know there stuff. Most of which I have benefitted from and i think he is trying to say that nobody likes to put in the work anymore and think by taking AAS its going to change their physique overnight w /o putting forth enough effort in diet, excercise, researching all they can to hit their "peak" while natural and try to get as much info as possible to learn their bodies and what does or doesn't work.it takes,a lot,of,time, trial and error etc. Being in young 20's is prime of life to build a solid foundation w /o AAS. ALOT of youngins see these huge dudes at gyms and say " they are only that big,bc of AAS" even though we know you can stack tons of shit and still never get to where some of those dudes are, for some obvious reasons and other reasons like the fact every"body" is different. Then without hesitation the young kids will dive into it not even knowing what PCT is or what effects AAS(if not used properly) can have on their young bodies PERMANENTLY,especially when they dont even know the background of the compounds they are taking and proper dosing and mixing things they shouldnt be, until its too late and are then desperate to find out EVERYTHING to fig.out wtf is going on in their bodies.sorry for rant and sorry if some things are irrelevant, but just wanted to say why its not the smartest idea to jump into something that can lead to a very long road of multiple problems, which goes for a lot of people and,not just kids..I learn something new everyday and alot has to do with reading forums from guys like these and like CRYHAVOC.(very intelligent guy btw.also read some of his stuff n will more than likely assist you when not busy).

Catalyst's picture

That's a nicer way than I'd put it! It isn't just youngsters, there's pictures and logs visible right now for older people mine and your age that look like they've never been in a gym running big boys stacks of gear. "I want to look like Phil Heath but I don't want to do the work". I'm sorry to say that represents a huge chunk of the modern steroid market and if I'm honest I think I'm now in an age category where my views on building something resembling a base naturally are becoming obselete. Not just here, it's like that in "real life". I see guys on gear that can't bench 225, can't squat or deadlift 340. To me, that's ridiculous. BUT, and it's a big but, that's not how everyone sees it. To me it's a lazy path to disappointment when they struggle to hold onto it by using more and more gear.

I can't get muscle hypertrophy going with light weights. Doesn't matter how much gear or how much food. If you don't have the strength to hoist heavy weights, you are not gonna grow. It can't be compensated for with volume either.

Dacky's picture

Ain't that the truth. You need a base of power not just muscle. Without both you cannot move enough weight to grow and then keep it. It's that simple.

BELLO1782's picture

Sort of what i meant in a nutshell lol...

Catalyst's picture

Yours was the PG version ;)

Catalyst's picture

I'll say one thing for him. I liked this bit

angry man

Suits me I thought. I'm famous around here for losing my temper etc and being angry aren't I?

Dacky's picture

You need to watch that anger of yours mate. Scaring all of these fine and highly intelligent new members away :-p

Dacky's picture

SMFH!!!

Come on Fella. I've only just seen this and your reply to my comment. Think about the position you're taking. I'm going to address both the above and the comment on the other post here.

Anyone running AAS MUST know how to calculate their TDEE and therefore the deficit or surpluss (as well as macros) they need to lose or gain weight. If you can't do this you simply have no business running AAS. So instead of getting all pissed off with Cat and me go and do some research and then come back and show us your have at least tried. You will find us and others on this board much more receptive to helping you if you did this. You talk about the time is took me to write my reply I could have just given you the info. Well that works both ways. Instead of bitching about it like a 16 year old girl and writing insulting comments (like the above) you could have gone and looked up the Harris Benedict Equation calculator and worked out your TDEE (with minimal effort) and proposed some macros. Cat, I and others would have been more than happy to help had you done just that on your other post which is what I was trying to get you to do.

Given you've just gone and told everyone you're too lazy to help yourself and expect others to do it for you I wish you good luck. You're not going to find much here.

Catalyst's picture

"Childish"

Do you know what I find childish? The fact that Dacky irritated you in your thread by not spoon feeding you then you immediately lash out in here calling me names. You don't like the feedback you're getting here and you think this is directed at you as you tick some of the above boxes. I get it. I don't particularly care if it irritates you, but I do get it.

Where's the anger? I'm not angry. Seems like you're the angry one from where I'm sitting as I've hit a nerve. I'm telling you to build a base first, that way you're more likely to keep it. If you think that's "nonsense", you've got a lot to learn about this game.

You're making a fool of yourself by being unable to depersonalise something written long before you even joined and not even read / understand the true message. I'm embarrassed for you.

fetus's picture

Of course you are right. But to be fair, I don't think most people who get into AAS even realize they are being lazy. They just know someone who uses, or hear about their favorite athletes being popped. And they make a lot of natural assumptions based on rampant misinformation.
Hell, we even have medical doctors throwing test and GH around to anyone with a bank account. It happened to me, and I foolishly assumed that "medical guidance" must be safe. It wasn't until I did my own research after the fact that I really began to know enough to make an informed judgment. If I hadn't bothered to do so, I might have walked off a cliff myself. And I still have a TON to learn...there is SO much to know.
But that is why eroids is awesome. Those of us who stumble upon it, AND respect the experience that is shared are fortunate.
I have to agree that some of the stuff you see on here; particularly the cycle logs are just mind-boggling. I struggle to understand how someone can be familiar enough with this site to post a cycle(or even pose certain questions), and yet not know better than the insanity that floods the threads.

Catalyst's picture

The doctor issue is so different for you guys in the states. Doesn't happen here in the UK purely because your health industry makes money from it, our NHS is a public service, (albeit utterly broken)!

fetus's picture

Yeah, that is a good point. I guess this isn't the right forum, but health care is a disgusting joke.

Catalyst's picture

It's lazy season I see. Maybe even "super lazy season".

Why is almost every cycle I see at the moment in one or more if these categories?

1) no base at all
2) training for five minutes
3) fat
4) kid

I'm starting to lose the will to live when j look at the logs or cycles pages.....

Dickkhead's picture

Dang bro, I used to spend quality time in the cycle logs. I just love chemicals (you know it's true) and I felt giving some guy something sensible was a good use of time. No more. I'm finished with arguing with the OPs in that section. I look at the stuff and I feel it's April 15, 1912. I'm on deck. The orchestra is still playing. The stern is now rising in the air but the electrical system is on B deck and the lights are still on. The OP doesn't know it but there are only a few minutes left . . . 20 to be exact. It's 2 AM --- I'm sure you've seen the movie . . . Smile Smile The kids don't learn history anymore and probably have not a clue what I'm talking about since I've deliberately left the title out . . .

Summer must be coming and who wants to actually put in any work when one can just take some drugs.

Bunch of idiotic kiddy twigs at the moment trying to get "swole" and "be alpha" to use terms that have recently been dropped when I've engaged with one or two. I'll give it one go now and if the poster genuinely wants to learn and is really 25 or over then I'll keep at it. Otherwise I'm just letting them crash and burn. Meh!

A scientific breakdown Of the US state of swole affairs:

School is coming to a close for many students towards the end of this month and early next month.

This abundant time coupled with the realization that the beach weather is roughly 4-6 weeks away means that the bro-publicbratic members have an equivalent amount of time to get swole and become an alpha for the beach.

They throw together half assed cycles in an attempt to supercharge the summer bod process and accomplish it with minimal effort in due time, instead of planning for it and working towards it since roughly 16 weeks ago.

Like the old school Steve Irwin ones. Every one of these children is getting ready to shred up in the next 4 weeks and I'm sitting here like:

Dacky's picture

Hahahah true. But mate have you seen how sick and alpha Zack Efron looks in Bad Neighbours 2. That gonna be me in 6 weeks once I've done my test/tren/mast/clen/t3/var/winny cycle. I reckon I'll put on 20lb of lean muscle and drop body fat to be 170lb and 8%. The reality for me is more like come August I would have been bulking and maintaining for 12 months. If I have enough muscle I'll cut. If not more bulking.

robxl12321's picture

This was me 6 years ago I was 20 years old when I ran my first cycle I started at like 145 and it wasn't just test I used anadrol and test and I stayed on it for 6 months. I didn't know what I was doing at all. At age 20 my bp was hypertension everyday I felt like absolute shit and as soon as I stopped I shrunk down to under 145 I lost the 27 pounds I gained plus 10 more. Shit is dumb and I see Alot of kids doing it. A kid in my gym is 17 years old on the football team and it running sust and tren I told him how it was and what I went through and what I'm going through now from the aftermath he said that stuff doesn't matter to me. Everyone is living the Yolo life these days. If I didn't d what I did and built a good base I could probably be 20 pounds heavier and much leaner and I regret ever starting gear in the firSt place. I have libido issues can't sustain erections lack of energy the works.... and I'm only 26 years old. Sometimes people have to learn the hard way

I see the lightweight brigade are out in full force again.
Time for a reminder me thinks.....

- K A P S I Z E -'s picture

Good bump. I'd also add that besides not having enough naturally built weight on their frame, Many posts in the forums recently and over the years, does not address the quality of the weight. Being that while the op might have a high enough number on the scale at their height the quality of the weight isn't there. Like guys who come on saying " 6'1" 205lbs but will go on to say bf is 17-20%... Being that weight and bf% could be acceptable for someone half a foot shorter but at 6'1" 205lbs should be much more quality weight if considering AAS use IMO..

This thread fucking hits home for me. It's basically why I haven't run a cycle in months. Between the family and work my dedication was waning and I have too much to lose now to risk my health. So I came to the conclusion that I'd take a break and let my body heal up. These compounds aren't a joke. This shit can take your body for a ride. If you're not able to take it serious enough to run a strict disciplined regimen of diet/nutes/training/supps then why the heck would you run AAS? Don't be lazy and risky. That's a bad bad combo.

tonytulo's picture

spot on bro.

Catalyst's picture

Bump.

Cycle logs and steroid cycles full of this type of nonsense again. Some of you really need to realise you're in over your head using compounds / cycles that are way too advanced.

tonytulo's picture

Running rampant.

Clear the joint out of all this fkn asshery........ i just scanned the sections for the past 10mins and found nothing that didnt make my fkn blood boil.

Eroids is going to loose more good members if all these young kids are allowed to run rampant.

Bumping this for some of the new members I've seen jumping into gear way too soon.

Also read this excellent post by Grrl where she discusses the importance of building a decent base.

I missed that one first time around. Looks like we have a similar sense of sarcastic humours lol!

The humor is that it happens for real daily. It's like watching a 100lb anorexic chic drink alcohol, it's going to get ugly quick.

Yep. Abundance of them lately.

See that one earlier? Ran 5 cycles, is 5-11 and 152lb.....

Missed it. Link? 5'11", 152 and 5 cycles!!! Is that even possible?

Hey cat when was the last time you were 150 lbs? When you were 10?

Been deleted. To yet, Gearhead, Flash and I responded a little "directly". I guess a mod wiped it before they needed to clean up the bloodshed. I shit you not, 5 cycles, tren, deca and still a stick.

Last time I was 150lb? 12, 13 maybe Smile in fact I think I won a 70kg max tournament at 11 years old......

kodiakGRRL's picture

This isn't relegated to the guys either... the gals are just as bad... except they want to "lose some weight and tone up a bit" they think running a low dose of something with clen and t3 is going to do some magic recomposition or something

Hustle28's picture

Very true Grrrl my gf was taking phentermine and wanted to add crap to lose weight while eating sloppy and not working out smh I finally was able to convince her to get off the crap and start with a better foundation of diet and training then maybe I she can get on something light and that's if she's planning to get on stage

Catalyst's picture

That's a good point. I think the girls are generally more sensible though. They seem to listen more to the advice and less of the "I'm doing it anyway" attitude.
