Blocking cortisol with phosphatidylserin

ad

I have recently come across some interesting research that suggests that a 800mg administration of planticidal phosphatidylserin split into 2 doses per day can reduce cortisol secretion by about 50% during heavy exercise.

In addition, it caused an overall improvement in mood and energy, as well as a decrease in muscle soreness.

Regeneration after workout was also improved, and the risk for overtraining lowered. The results conclude that an administration of phosphatidylserin in conjuction with resistance training can technically increase muscle mass.

Obviously something like this could also be a big help in keeping gains while coming off a cycle. I would hence like to know if anyone here has any experience that they can share with us?

I use Vitamin C bout 3g daily! its also pretty cheap..I take a 1.5 grams in the morning (Cortisol is relatively high) and post workout. Seems to be doing the trick!

Where are you based, US or EU? I know a place that sells 100 grams of it for $45, which is pretty cheap if you compare it to other supplements containing this stuff. They only ship within the EU though.

However I personally want some more info first, as a regular supplementation wouldn't be cheap enough to warrant the use if it wasn't really effective. Maybe OJ has the inside scoop.

Too bad bro, can't help you out then. Your price seems kind of steep, your paying just under half of what I would pay, but for only 12 grams total.

Considering dosages of 600mg - 800mg per day (which are the dosages I took from the study below and another one) it can get expensive rather quickly.

Maybe you guys have a similar shop like this one:

They are pretty cheap and have a great variety of products, as well as some items that are not so easy to find usually (taurine, guarana extract etc).

I really need to go sleep now, lol...

I kind of thought so, lol. My brain can get hungrier than my stomach sometimes. Just looking for ways to gain an extra edge.

Looks like this might also be effective while dieting. The increased cortisol levels during a diet increase the breakdown of protein and stimulate the conversion of protein to glukose in the liver.

In addition, the cortisol hinders the leucin amino acid from protein synthesis.

(Just in case somebody was wondering how I came to this conclusion).

It's kind of bedtime for me right now though.

anabolics take care of cortisol while cycling, but wouldnt you think using it off cycle would be more useful?? and do you think just swallowing the powder will work?? whether it has an acytyl-group or an ester of some kind in front of it most of those compounds are rendered useless once in the gut!! but the articles ive read on it makes you REALLY interested fo-sho i wonder if anyone can say foR CERTAIN that they expierienced good results by using it??

Would also like to know how much more effective this route is compared to other options such as high vitamin c intake (1 - 2 grams daily) or aspirin intake.
