No matter what you do once you stop don't ever just have one. I had quit for 5 years, and a crazy breakup went on a gambling spree lost a bunch was stressed out of my mind and said "Im just gonna have one" famous last words. I smoked for another 2 years and now I've been on the JUUL for a year but I hate still being a slave to nicotine. But quitting smoking was the best I had ever felt. I was stronger, better endurance, and my sex life was great cause I wasn't gasping for air lol.

Good luck brother

Bro I wish you the best of luck I truly do and I mean that. For years I tried to quit drugs I done everything under the sun. Rehab, after rehab all kinds of different meds I tried to quit for my kids. Finialy the only thing that helped me quit was ME. I had to want it bad enough I had to make up my mind and say enough is enough its was hard as he'll but I did it. Skip forward a few years and I was back in the same boat with smoking. Quoting smoking was even harder than coming off the pills. I tried all the new meds, patches gums you name it. Then one day my son looked at me and said dad please stop smoking I love you and I don't want you to get cancer and die. I walked out of the living room and into the bedroom and I hit my knees and cryed like a little teenage girl I really did. I said to myself your paying someone to kill your own self and your breaking your child's heart. Right then and There I throwed them down and I havent smoked in almost 3yrs. I had to Finialy have enough and I had. Now I save close to 600$ a month by not smoking. You can do it bro you can you just have to want it bad enough its all in your head. Don't let your mind control and defeat you. Stay strong and don't look at it like a time thing. Take it one day at a time. Just don't smoke for one day then the next day just don't smoke and the next thing you know a year will have gone by andyoull be smoke free. Moral of this story is no med will help you quit only. You can do it for yourself. Good luck my friend.

Day 2 of Not Smoking!

You can do it bro, you can. Stay strong and like I said don't look at it in a big time frame just focus on one day at a time. If you want it bad enough you can quit. Trust me I went from 2-2.5 packs of Newports a day to zip zero. The worst time for me is first thing in the morning when I'm having my first cup of coffee.

Thanks Shaun,
I’m on day 5 without smoking. It’s pretty g’damn hard, especially in the morning with my coffee. I’ve got gum and a vape but eating seems to work better for me. I keep protein bars and granola bars in my pocket. I will stay strong!

Thanks Everyone, this is really motivating. I have to convince myself I don’t like smoking, I don’t want to smoke, and just stop smoking, with or without any nicotine cessation aids(patches, gum, vape). Scratch that I’m going to pick up a vape pen on my way back from the gym and Today I Quit smoking for good; for my own health and benefit.

I’m sceptical but I’ve heard hypnosis works like if you never smoked before!
Tabacco is a bitch, I haven’t smoked in probably 10 years but chewing tobacco was my go to until 6 months ago.
Patches and all that shit are just crutches if you ask me. Tried all that but cold turkey is best, just got to get it in your head that’s what you’re doing and it’s to help you achieve something you want!
Good luck bro

I agree 100%. I am three months removed from a 15 year chewing tobacco habit and it all boils down to that "want to".

The only way to stop is to stop it prompt.

Get an old coffee can and fill it with lollipops hard candy, gum etc. Keep it next to you at all times and keep something in your mouth always (no homo)

My Advice is buy a vap pen think or check breeze aspire. It's 30 dollars. Fill it up with menthol or whatever flavor you like. Buy a liquid made in America with desired level of nicotine.
Smoke it as much as you need until you are not smoking tobacco. You will clear your lungs, continue smoking in a 97 percent less harmful way. I have been a registered nurse for 13 years. It's not a debate. Vaping vs cigarettes is like marjiuna to cocaine. In a few months toss it and enjoy your health. Patches work expensive and they fall off
Gum is ok but 30 minutes in your cheek. This is my advice if quitting is not working and you want to save your life. I'm not having a back and forth with people on this. This is just my Advice. If you don't like it simply give yours to help to person.thanks...popcorn lung and liquid that will kill babies and make you have hairy chests.lol...not today....

+1 man.
Totally agree..
My myself i quit smoking with vape .
But then agien i climbed on vape with little bit of Nicotine..
And i can say for a fact that vape is way better to your heart and lungs. After quitting cigarettes i noticed how much easier it was to do cardio and waking up in the mornings was more easier and present. Overall sex drive become better and breading when high heart rate was easier.
I too suggest vape as a way to quit smoking but need to be cautious about your next Nicotine levels thou.
Addictive shit.

X2. You can step down the nicotine level as well with a vape, and you should do so, you'll be amazed at how much better you feel off the cigs and at how easy it is to step down to zero mg nicotine. Then you'll realize how much of the habit is just habit, less addiction. I smoked for a long time and used this method to quit.

Yeah I’ve smoked on and off for almost 10 years. I’ve quit 3 times attempting my 4th and final. First time was cold turkey for a year. Second time I smoked pot instead of cigarettes and quit for about eight months. Third time I used a vape for about eight months. This time seems to be the most difficult and it interferes with training/Cardio especially.

Do whatever you have to do to stop smoking tobacco today
Anything is better

That to me is the best motivation to fucking hang it up right there - when it interferes with what you want to do.

Just think, keep smoking and before long it'll interfere with walking up a gentle incline on a cool, breezy day. Don't want that do we?

Thanks for the advice!
I actually have gum and patches. They don’t seem to fulfill my urge to smoke. I did quit smoking for 8 months with a vape pen. Then I Lost it and went back to smoking. I guess it’s time to get another vape.
I have an appointment the first week in April and I plan to speak with my doctor about other options like varenicline.
