+ 2 Just discovered Black Label Society
ad
Like the title says, Black Label Society's "1919 Eternal" popped up on my new playlist, and damn... they're absolutely brutal. I threw it on during my pull day, and it was the perfect soundtrack. It definitely kept the aggression and intensity up, and I ended up having one of my best back days this month.

I dunno I play “As I lay dying’ pretty much on repeat the album he write in prison.
In prison for paying a undercover FED to smoke his wife… that’s metal af
Three Days Grace and Slipknot forever my go to’s
I hated rust for the longest time ever, but it only recently came onto me, and it's alright now. Recently, I have been listening to Slipknot, Trapt, Staind, and a bit of Deftones
You said “came onto me”… huh huh
Fucking gross bro hahaha
Wasnt there a Lab called Black Label? Or BlacK label society? Or am I trippin?
Saw Lamb of God in Springfield MA last summer.
Wanted to make it to see TOOL at sonic temple in ohio but I missed out. Considering going next year and or I really wanna go to the gathering of the juggalos before I die.
Yes it was Irish and Finfan
Gym metal:
In Flames
Bolt Thrower
Amon Amarth
Dark Tranquility
Hatebreed
Lamb of God
Mors Principium Est
Opeth (certain songs)
Orbit Culture
Parasite Inc
War of ages
War of Ages are an awesome band! Collapse baby ....
Got quite a few of In Flames albums too.
Lamb of God’s Ashes of the Wake album has been one of my top favorites. The drummer pointed out that the entire album has that feel of being chased and/or chasing someone and that speedy aggression clicked for me.
I saw BLS in concert some time ago but I definitely need to revisit their stuff and check out their new stuff.
Bookmarked this thread so I can listen to all the other suggestions here also haha.
I'm not much into anything new with the exception of bands I already listen to, example... Lamb of God.
My playlist is pretty much the same, Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Chimaira, alot of older shit like Death, Obituary, some older Slayer. I think Chimaira gets me going the most though... Eyes of a criminal, everything you love, SPlit, too many bangers to list. Check em out though if you haven't heard them.
Into Madball?
I think it's time for all of us to remember that "people = shit"
'Spiiiiiiit it out!!!!!
Damn this band fucking slaps bro, thanks for the heads up. I have Pull day tomorrow so this will come in handy for me.
They are trying to be Corrosion of Conformity
I actually met that band back when I was around 10 years old. My friends parents owned a hotel on the side of a motorway in England and he used to get all sorts of bands coming in and out of the restaurants having meals and things. One time this very band actually came in and me and my friend got a load of drumsticks off them. I'd never heard of them before but from then on I always remembered that band name lol we actually sat and had lunch with them and I remember it was in an Italian restaurant in there. We had pizza.
You old as fuck
I sure am ya fuckin' pikey.
What? These guys are sick too, and they've been around since at least 1984.
Dude, there is so much amazing music out there. I used to hang out with a guy who listened exclusively to Spanish metal. I had no idea what they were saying, but it sounded so good! The only two I remember were a band called Rata Blanca (White Rat) and Brujeria (Witchcraft). Germany obviously has some pretty heavy shit too.
The bassist of Faith No More started Brujeria
Faith no more has an interesting history. I never saw them but ive seen Mr Bungle. Show was pretty good. From what I remember. Courtney Love sang for Faith no more briefly I remember. This was just before my time, I missed it all but read about it.
Just discovered?! Bro where have you been?! Lol jk. Stillborn, Funeral Bell, and Suicide Messiah are some of my favorites from them. Omertá by Lamb of God is also of my favorite tracks for when I wanna fuck some weights up.
Yeah, I don't know if it's an age thing, but when I was younger I mostly listened to punk rock and thrash metal like Anthrax, D.R.I., Rancid, Suicidal Tendencies, Slayer, Testament, Exodus, Nuclear Assault, S.O.D., Cro Mags, Bad Religion, Black Flag, and Minor Threat. I listened to some traditional heavy metal too. Somehow I completely missed these guys back then.
Those are all great bands
Cannibal corpse- evisceration plague
Vital remains- dechristianize
Necrophagist- stabwound
Decapitated- winds of creation
Kesha- die young
Aborted- clinical colostomy and retrogore
Thanks bro! I will check these out soon and get back to you. I hate to admit but I stopped keeping up with new heavy metal after 2020 ,roughly. I’m definitely missing out.
I don't listen to anything new either. These are pretty old songs.
New metal is garbage unless it’s coming out of the Nordic countries
I think deceiver of the God's was the last good one they made. Newer albums sound like they ran out of ideas but pigeon holed themselves and can't or don't know how to branch out. Thats why I prefer bathory.
"you take a mortal man - and put him in control"
Very true, oldies at this point hahah. Is your handle a Metallica reference?
Funnily no. I've actually never really been into Metallica.
Um.. Yea!! BLS is the fucking shit. Man, I bet you are missing out on a lot of good metal.
BTS has a new album actually, check out this song.
Check out Amon Amarth next time… it’s Viking Metal. Makes you want to lift then plunder and kill.
Last workout I listened to this album and was fired up and tuned in. Great suggestion bro
Amon Amarth mentioned, karma point for you!
Back at ya homey
I will add these to the playlist for tomorrow. I appreciate you guys for sharing your music!
