Hi everyone,

Joined a little bit ago and wanted to introduce myself. I’m a mid 40 year old male. I originally joined just to find a better alternative to my online TRT clinic, but I now realize there's a much bigger world out there than just TRT and I've become increasingly interested in learning more. I'm here to learn about proper diet, lifting, and safely building my cycle.

A little bit about me. To be honest, I was never into working out and spent pretty much my whole life overweight or obese. Last year I was sick of being fat, lazy and tired all of the time so I decided to make a change. I got my blood tested for low T, it came back in low 200’s. At 5’10” and 264.8 lbs, I set a goal to lose 40 lbs before starting TRT, I was worried about side effects, with being so overweight. I fell down the bodybuilding YouTube rabbit hole, changed my diet (chicken/lean beef, rice, and veggies), 2200-2300 calories a day, and started doing cardio, 5 days a week. About 6 months later, I hit my target and signed up for a TRT clinic. I bought a home gym (power cage, bench, barbell, and adjustable dumbbells) and have been lifting 3 days a week on a PPL split while continuing to lose weight. After starting TRT, I also started Reta 2mg a week, I’m currently up to 5mg of Reta. I’m down to 190.2lbs, my goal is 175lbs before adding anything else.

My clinic had me on Test C 120mg/week (60mg every 3.5 days), which put my trough in the mid 600s. I wasn't thrilled with how I felt, so I took control of my own protocol. I am currently self administering TRT 25mg Test P every day (175mg/week). I now have a low 900 T level and I feel way better.

Once I hit my goal weight in a couple of months, I'm planning to try my first cycle. Since I'm already pinned daily, I'm leaning toward sticking with Test P, but open to suggestions if that’s not a good idea. Currently planning on Test P 350mg/week (50mg ED), and HGH 2iu daily, maybe slowly going up 4iu depending on how I handle HGH and lowering the Reta to 2mg a week. I’ve already have Arimidex, a blood pressure monitor, and BP meds on hand just in case it’s needed. I’m planning to get blood work done before I start and 6-8 weeks in. During the cycle, I’ll be switching to a “lean bulk” increasing calories (2600-2700/day), and lifting 5 days a week, maybe 6 depending on recovery. Looking forward to learning from you guys and getting some feedback on the plan!

What made you settle on prop rather than one of the longer esters?

When I was on 120mg/week every 3.5 days Test C, I wasn’t really getting a lot of symptom relief. I still felt pretty lazy, low energy and libido wasn’t that great. After reading around for ideas on what to do I saw some guys prefer everyday injections with Test P. So I decided to give it a try, to be honest I think increasing my dose from 120mg/week to 175mg/week probably had the biggest effect but by that point I had already acquired like 10 vials of Test P so I just stuck with it. Once I started thinking about doing a cycle, I liked the thought that if something goes wrong, I could stop taking Test P and it would be out of my system in about a week, instead of 5-6 weeks for test C. Now I understand that’s why you ancillary on hand, before starting a cycle, if something goes wrong during a cycle, even a week could be to long.

I hear you on the benefit of a quick out with the shorter esters. I've got no experience with prop, only what I have read here and heard on the podcasts. I also pin daily - 20mg per day while cruising, right now around 50mg on a cutting cycle - but with either cyp or enanthate. I can't say I've noticed any difference between the two. I stick with those because from what I've read once they reach saturation, with everyday pinning your levels stay consistent and thus fewer sides arise from the valleys and troughs of once, twice, or even three times a week.

Welcome, and good luck with your journey. Sounds like you’ve been successful with the work you’ve put in. I will say this, there’s a shit ton of great information and knowledge here, try not to get too overwhelmed and deviate from your plan. It’s very easy to stray off course and want to start adding a ton of shit just to try and fast track. Keep it simple and stay on track, what you’re doing is working, crawl, walk, run and you will be fine. Read, dive into the search bar, and then ask questions. Thank you, If you don’t mind me asking do you cycle also? If so, do you stay with test p or swap to a test with a longer esther? My thought process is if I do stay with test p when that time comes, I will be injecting 3.5ml a week, which for these little ass new muscle I got seems like a lot. I’m considering switching to test C 250 to drop the amount oil I would need to do per week.

I blast and cruise, I'll add in test e 300 to keep shot volume down and primo for my next blast, keep the prop the same. Plan is 500/400. If your not already you need to be doing daily shots with the prop, more injection sites the better I have 10 I rotate

Oh I didn’t think about just adding Test C or E, instead of swapping out the test p completely. That will make it a lot easier. Thank you for that tip. I currently do everyday injections, I swap between delts , glutes with quads as a back up if I’m having to pain in one of them. Although I started my TRT injection in quads, they are not my preferred muscle now. Will definitely look into more injections sites.

I do glutes, ventroglutes, shoulders, lats and quads. You need more sites for daily injections long term

I think ventro glutes will be the next muscle I add into rotation. I have done 2 injections so far in what I think is the ventro, but I’m just not super confident with it. I think it will be a while before I can do my lats. Currently i feel like I would poke a rib if I tried injection them. I can’t really find them unless I’m flexing, so I haven’t tried there yet. I hoping once I get some better muscle development some of these muscles will be easier to locate.

Seems like you’re putting in the work good for you man. Also read the rules so you don’t find yourself in a bind. And use the fuck outta that search bar.
