+ 6 Enhanced, Not Reckless: Blood Work Is the Difference
Most guys know they should be running labs—but knowing and doing are two different things. Some stay on top of their bloods. Others go purely off feel. I used to be the second guy.
Back in my mid-20s, I ran gear with zero structure. No baseline, no follow-ups—just pinning and chasing progress. And yeah, I grew. Strength went up, size went up. On the surface, it worked.
But the flip side? Sides I didn’t need to deal with. Rough post-cycle experiences that could’ve been avoided. Nothing that put me under the knife—but I definitely treated my body like it was expendable. That catches up to you.
The truth is, I wasn’t ignorant—I was careless. I didn’t want to spend the money. I didn’t want to take the time. And like a lot of guys, I ignored people who actually knew what they were talking about.
Fast forward 10+ years, and my entire approach has changed. There’s a clear line between running gear recklessly and running it intelligently—and that line is blood work.
You can “listen to your body” all you want, but that only gets you so far. Hormones, lipids, hematology—none of that cares how you feel. The numbers tell the truth every single time.
Since starting this cycle, I’ve run it the right way:
- Full baseline before touching anything
- Follow-up labs at 4 weeks
- Another full panel at 6 weeks to dial things in
Every adjustment I’ve made has been based on data, not guesswork.
I’m new to this community, but I’ve already seen a ton of solid advice being handed out. Some guys take it seriously. Others ignore it and do what they were gonna do anyway. That’s part of the game.
But if you actually want to push performance and stay in this long-term, there’s no shortcut here.
I’m older now. Smarter. And in the best shape I’ve ever been in.
And it’s not because I’m running more—it’s because I’m running it better.
I say all this and here’s my point, if you’re in this group, there is so much knowledge and great advice given out for free. And if your the dumb reckless guy I once was, listen to these guys and do your dam blood work!!
Blood work isn’t optional. It’s the difference.

Well put man, people should also look into getting EKG's and echocardiograms every now and then. I'm a huge proponent of preventative measures to deal with issues before they get out of hand. Its very easy to get referred if have you have a decent relation with your doc, bring up family history and talk it up so you don't have to pay those fuckers lol.
In my short time here, I’ve seen some dudes get great advice from the start and yet refuse to heed their advice and do what they had their mind set to do, with all the resources available and at such an affordable price point, seems completely asinine to do take care of your body and do things the correct way.
