Dude there is no way this is going to happen. Whey is a waste byproduct of milk, so unless milk disappears (which it will never, my family is in the dairy business) whey will always be available. This is classic news fearmongering for clicks. And my dumbass fell for it.
What it probably is, is them telling us to get ready for a big price hike across these products. You know, creating a perception of scarcity. I’m sure demand has increased but like you said it’s a waste product to begin with.
Its all the damn people on glp-1 and other peptides. People are now downing protein shakes like crazy. Body positivity ended when they could get willpower in a shot. On a plus note what this does prove is that calories in vs calories out is true and all these fat fucks lying about medical conditions were just lazy and undisciplined like we've alwsys said

100% I actually think they start the shortage rumor just so they can jack up prices. Notice how Mast E and Primo were short and now you can find it all over and the prices are Jacked way up? Exactly why I look to buying directly from China on some things. I just filter and test it.

I understand your disappointment & frustration with the modern American main stream food supply. But it is not difficult to get good food.
As with anything, all it takes to source real good food is thoughtful diligence combined with action & resolve.
i understand what you mean but even when you find the good stuff on the shelf you look at the price and are like fuck. i am so upset with the food supply and dont have alpt of money and everything is dam expensive its hard to get the good stuff

Tariffs caused the world to stop buying US dairy and soy. The answer of course is to subsidize farmers to pour the milk down the drain and either stop growing soy or sell it at a lost. Did I miss something?

I would buy bulk 40-pound boxes of real isolate for under 100 bucks
One day the company had some batches recalled and suddenly disappeared.
Protein powder was still being produced but was being shipped to China for processing and packaging????
Protein came back to us under other brand names with who knows what fillers but was still allowed to wear the made in the USA label.
Because it is a supplement the FDA doesn't inspect or test any of it
ATW was the best whey isolate ever produced. I bet now most isolates are not pure but blends with lots of fillers
I am still pissed off that this was not only allowed but orchestrated by the Us government
