I don’t go really heavy just concentrate on form and getting a good stretch and squeeze. Now I love leg press! Going deep getting that good stretch and squeezing at the top. 540 for 12 slow controlled, with a 1-2 second pause at the bottom. That’s my jam

I don’t squat anymore at all bro. I leg press switching between heavy 10-12 reps, then going moderate weight for 20 reps. The higher reps have definitely built my legs in combination with the heavy sets. You have to switch it up, especially when you are over 40. The legs are the first thing to go away as we get older.
Isn’t that the truth I agree got to to keep the legs strong any means or way possible I also do my best to maintain my core strength I feel that is a major advantage for the back and such.
