+ 1 L-Glutamine ,, science based ? Or in the league off BCAAs …
ad
This has to be simple, I’m saying this supplement has no effect on athletic performance and recovery.
From what I’ve HEARD creatine mono 5 grams, citruline malate 8 grams, beta alanine 4 grams… these all back cellular function and athletic performance.
Glutamine and BCAAs are pointless,
Prove
Me
Wrong .

I agree with you about creatine – the results are noticeable. But as for glutamine being useless, I’d have to disagree. I always train hard, and for two days after a gym, I used to experience noticeable muscle soreness that made my movements stiff. Ever since I started using glutamine, I’ve completely forgotten what post-workout soreness feels like. For me personally, this supplement definitely works – just like creatine.
AK80Glutamine helps with muscle soreness; D.O.M.S. Under the tongue some people think it helps with cravings/addictions. BCAA's are just protein in liquid form, good to take some between meals or whenever you feel like it. Robby Robinson was a big proponent of these things and glutathione, but all that goes out the window when........HELLO! Steroids are involved.
The good ole days of mixing a scoop of Dr.jekyll with a scoop of Mr.Hyde,
I was properly hooked on pre workouts during the day, I swear that shit helped me stay small and lean, the jack3d was just about to be banned in 2014 so I made a hike to gnc and bought four jars up, that’s the last time I’ve been there
Glutamine is great for the stomach lining and general intestine/gut health - but in terms of recovery and helping lifting I don't think it really does anything. I use to take 10g of the stuff every single day and haven't for a few months now and have noticed no difference at all.
After Whey Protein, I think EAA's are the next most effective supplement you can buy. They may take some time getting use to and finding the right flavour for you, but once you incorporate them regularly in between meals etc you will always be recovered when it comes to training the same muscle again and the tendons involved. I think they are as effective as trenbolone in that respect so I don't say it lightly.
anvilExactly the reason I use it. Gut health.
Try putting a small amount of baking soda in some water and drink it before a workout
Actually heard of this and also some salt too. Just keep forgetting to try.
AK8016oz water, 8oz orange juice, a couple scoops of dextrose powder, a teaspoon of pink himalayan salt and a teaspoon of baking soda is my pre-workout drink. Adding in 10mg of 87's cialis polishes it off. Veins everywhere and reps non stop.
I will have to try this. I will look for the dextrose powder.
I like trying everyones pre workout. See what works the best.
Thank you for the input my guy.
It’s in a lot of BSN products like N.O xplode and atleast one other, I don’t remember which one tho, I think maybe their bcaas? Idk what for but it’s in there
That’s your beta alanine, as a standalone supplement I think it’s massively underrated,
It boosts something I believe is called Carnosine levels and stops the lactic acid buildup like @eighty7 said
We had a discount mart in PA , they’d get excess supplements like muscle milk(not expired) just excessively, and sell them mad cheap, I picked up the beta alanine then did research, they look like epsom salts and make your body tingle like crazy
It reduces your lactic acid and you are actually able to do more reps in each set
It’s in protein powder matrix as well, marketed as 5 grams glutamine and then they’re like “12 grams BCAAs” well no fucking shit the last time I looked every protein is comprised of BCAAs ..
Buyer beware protein poweder manufacturers were “amino spiking” with glutamine and creatine to get to the total of what was supposed
Take body fortress from Walmart ; back in the day was 12$ very affordable and taste was amazing, then you could move up too six star. They were caught red handed amino spiking along with several other companies
One that has stayed consistent across the board is optimum nutrition gold standard
