Help with Blood Results
ad
Hi,
Would like some advice from way more experienced people than me on my blood results. I’m a 50 year old male who began trt at 100mg in April. I did some research and thought I’d go on a mini cycle for summer of 300mg of test cyp per week and 20mg of var for 12 weeks. I didn’t use the var on days I wasn’t training. I liked the results that I got and I gave me added incentive to train. I have now got my blood work done 3 weeks post cycle. I’m now taking 150mg of trt as trying to find the sweet spot that people talk about but I’m yet to find ! Could you help me. Be gentle as I’m just starting out --

Question. If you were on 100mg TRT dose prior to cycle....why come off cycle to 150mg? Did you have a doctor prior suggesting the 100mg dose or was this "self TRT"
Yeah I “self trt” like a Wally because I didn’t get the results straight away that I expected. Silly really as I’m old enough to know better ! Would you suggest I take that back down to 100mg as prescribed by doctor at Manuel in April ?
How do people decide what amounts to take for trt ? I had a doctor but the costs are too much so I’ve sourced my own test.
When I began I went to a doctor for a year. Saw what bloods and what they looked at etc etc.. Then I abandoned ship and went on my own.
When i started they had me one 175mg TRT and I saw my bloods were always around 1400. I felt good. everything else checked out good so I always had a ballpark where I should be with doctors orders.
I would consider dialing the testosterone down a bit. I think you may benefit from microdosing. That entails taking a low testosterone dosage daily. This will ensure steadier blood levels. I would acquire some arimidex and take a very low dosage as needed. It wouldn't be a weekly thing. I find for me taking a 1/4 of a tab every several weeks works for me. Contrary to what some people think, estrogen is good. It just needs to be within normal ranges. You don't want to kill your estrogen. Finding the dosage that works for you will require routine bloodwork.
I have considered the micro dosing now I know how to inject without getting the tough under skin issues. Would you still micro dose on 100-150mg ?
European units --
Just from the ratios though looks like your e2 is kind of the only thing that bad.
But really I’m not familiar with the European units so I can’t say for sure what’s what.
Estrogen and prolactin high. Trt dose too high as well. Do you have aromasin or adex? Caber or vit b6--100mg tablets? Cholesterol too needs work which is food choices, niacin, oatmeal, red yeast etc
I presume that’s anaridex ? How often and what doses to get the estrogen under control ?
Arimadex. Try .25 every 3rd day and retest in 2 weeks. Bringing estro down helps with prolactin but id advise pulling both down and retest.
Going down to 100mg trt as well.
Since he’s only on test, would the estro conversion be pulling the prolactin up with it since he’s not on any 19-nors or anything else that raises prolactin?
Yessir @Rosschestzip . Theres a forum on here talking about some persons conversions are higher. Theres many meds as well that raise prolactin. Folks like us that fit in the normal/typical catagory get suprised seeing odd numbers but those hidden factors add up. Even some otc heartburn meds boost prolactin.
Ya there’s a medication that I’m on that raises it too, I had no clue till very recently, I would never have guessed it. I always thought I was sensitive to prolactin, because it just seems to be an issue for me with 19-Nors more than anyone else, turns out it’s probably that medication I’m on
Id get the TRT dose dialed in before the arimadex. Doesn't appear he is having side issues. If he gets his TRT dose dialed in correctly his E2/Prolactin should drop some.
Agree on the other issues. Those are most likely food choices.
Brilliant. Just ordered some. Thanks.
