I lurked alot on this site back in my experimental college days and know that it's the go-to for all things medicinal. Thankful you guys are still here.
I realize I may be in the wrong subforum, let me know if so.
54 year old man with ZERO sex drive. Although my testosterone levels are normal, I feel that testosterone may remedy that, along with other low T issues.
My V.A. doctor says I'm normal and refuses to write a script for cream (androgel) or tablets (Jatenzo, Andriol, etc.)
I guess my question is which way to turn. Is a prescription needed? Overseas suppliers? Other avenues?

Do u know your TLevels. There is a fairly large range of “normal”. A lot of docs won’t prescribe unless under or at the very low normal (300 ngdl). For me I feel much better (mentally, sexually, and physically) at the upper normal range of about 850-900. At 164 ugdl I was prescribed the gel which had no effect on what I was missing. Labs from that showed little improvement on t levels but I had missed my jell dose that day cuz it is messy, easily rubs off on your cloths, and has inconsistent adsorption/skin conditions (dry, wet, oily, sweaty, dirt, u get it). Now I get my gear here and micro dose about 50mg 3 times a week which keeps me high normal and is very inexpensive. Been doing it for 8 yrs now and experimented with Test c, e, sustanon, and Mast e. I like sustanon but u really have to pin that 3 times a week. Test c and e take a bit longer to build up and drop but for trt I still pin those at a least twice a week for more stable test blood levels.
GEL, CREAM AND TABLETS IS TRASH! especially if they want to charge you or your insurance. You are in the right spot but do some reading on here first and take your pick from the top ten sources here. And dont fall for that nugenix commercial. $100 for 20 days will not get you big like the black actor on the commercial
You need a prescription if going with pharma.
Or is there a natural, over the counter method of raising libido? Most of the stuff online looks like snake oil so I really don't know where to turn..
I'm obviously completely clueless about the whole thing. I just know it's affecting my marriage and I need help.

Are you based in the UK or US? Don't bother with the gels or creams - get on a normal TRT injection routine. Plenty of the Testosterone oils you can get through here are basically as good as pharmagrade and cheap as chips. 1000's of guys get their TRT oils via sources on here. The creams need to be applied everyday to be effective and there is only between 2 to 8% absorption from them into the blood, so they work out very expensive long term and you will struggle to get a decent dose from them overall. Even guys that have run them consistently for a few months are only just hitting minimal testosterone levels in bloodwork.
Can confirm.. per docs orders 50g satchetts had my total testosterone at 600ngdl… the pump got me to 720ngdl..
When i asked my primary why i couldnt switch to the injection he tells me” well its oil, its messy and levels are unstable” what the crock of shit; one could microdose cyp everyday if needed, these docs gave me the runaround for years because the androgel is 200$ a script
You did well to get to that level mate on the sachets!! Is this applying 1 sachet every single day then to the upper arm/shoulder area? How much were the gels costing you each month then?
Im a great responder to Testosterone USP, i applied to the upper shoulder area without fail; shaved the little hairs off of course, always always after a nice hot shower with open pores. About two hours in , due to the one generic formula the testosterone would crystallize and cease to absorb. The work around for this was applying a fragrance free cera-ve to moisten the skin back up and boost bioavailability.
In all the satchets 50g (50mg) only about 5-7% of that daily absorbed costs 150$ with GoodRx.. the generic pump was dosed 1.62% if i remember correctly and i was able to get the doc to let me do 3 pumps a day. Goodrx this came out too 180$

I would rather avoid injectable unless the non invasive methods don't work. But I would if I had to.

Do a Top 10 search for sources in the US, then use either Test Cyp or Test Enanthate. Generally guys will inject every 7 to 10 days, but there are other methods too such as more frequent injecting like twice per week for a more stable blood level. Use the search box at the top and search on TRT protocols and everything you need is in there mate. Ultimately getting bloodwork done will determine how much you need to be injecting but around 150mg every 7 days is the usual amount.

Oh buddy., that Seroquel is a testosterone destroyer! Might as well be a castration pill. Shit is so bad for you, yet the docs insist on shoving it down your throat. For insomnia? That's mind numbing! It's an anti psychotic drug that's taken the place of thorazine. May want to find another route for your insomnia! Now you know, when you stop taking that stuff, you aren't going to sleep for like a week or so without it. And it's horrible for the liver as well.
Injectable testosterone is the only way to go honestly. And the injections aren't bad at all. I admit that I was skeptical at first, but it becomes nothing after a few injections. It's really not that bad brother. I would stick with either cypionate or enanthate for the test. DHB is not testosterone BTW, so not let the name fool you. It's not going to help you in what you are trying to achieve.
Even if your goal is just basic quality of life, testosterone injections are going to be the way to go. Your libido will be on fire, your everyday levels will return, and you'll even begin to sleep better without the Seroquel . You are gonna need to get off that as it crushes your test levels. It won't be easy. But once on the test, you'll feel like you are in your 20s again! Truth! And you'll even begin to think more clearly, provided you get off that nasty drug. Good luck brother and hopefully you'll make the right decision for yourself. At least here, you'll be able to make a well informed decision
I'm in the same boat as the TNHighwayman. I'm 50, Test at 266, Free-Calc 57.9. Looking for Test Cyp as well that takes credit card. PCP currently has me on 50mg every 2 weeks, not helping me at all feel like normal again. Any help would be appreciated.
Your PCP is castrating you with those doses. Just an fyi you can’t discuss payment methods in the forums. You can go to the top 10 US sources. I recommend going on the source discussion page and hear what customers are saying about the source before ordering so you know what you are getting your self into. Read the reviews, some sources are better and more reliable than others.
I think that Seroquel technically falls under the class of "hypnotic". But you are right about everything else for sure.
I have my liver bloodwork checked regularly and its always been okay. That could change I know.
I have decided to try enthanate, now I just have to figure out how to pay for it, as all of the "top 10" companies won't take credit cards.

There are sources that accept credit card payment bud, just not many. Crypto is rather easy to deal with once you do it once.
No problem buddy, its 150mg every 7 to 10 days - or split that shot in half and do 75mg every 3/4 days if you get me bud! If you get Cyp that normally comes in a 200mg/ml dose or Enanthate is slightly stronger. Just work them out in terms of what that equals in oil volume to get 150mg.
If your Test levels are fairly low currently, then literally I can feel the benefits of Test E come on from 8 hours after injection and then they will climb higher over time up until a peak blood level at about 24 hours in. The longer you have injected for the greater the build up and benefits you will get such as increased libido, mood, energy, strength, appetite, increased bone density (which dentists hate you for if getting implants LOL) - All of the benefits you always get from increased Testosterone levels buddy. Plus the wife will be loving you for it and wanting to give head again!!! LMAO

Well, I can't speak too much on it as I've never used it other than it being an ester in sustanon. I know it's a very long ester. It's half life is 20-21 days I believe. The longer the ester, the longer it's going to take to saturate the body. Also, the longer the ester the less actual testosterone you will absorb from it. For instance, test prop is almost 90 percent of actual testosterone. So if you injected 100mg, you'll get around 90mg I believe? Test enanthate is like 75-80 percent, cypionate is like 70-75? So if you injected 250mg of undecantenote, you'll get roughly 150mg roughly (whatever that's percentage works out to be). Depending on your goals here, it's not the greatest choice. If trt and just basic well being is your goal, it will do with much less frequent injections. You'll just be waiting longer for it to take effect. Now, you can use another ester to get it going until that kicks in. That'll work. Provided hormone replacement is your main goal here.

I have been doing some research on T-Und., and it seems that you can modify the dose.
Instead of a 750mG inj. every 10 weeks..
One 1000mG shot,
30 days repeat, then one 500mG shot, 30 days, then one 250mG shot every 3 weeks after.
This way it doesn't take 3.5 months for it to get into the system, plus numbers wouldn't jump around as much.

I also use the VA and their gridlines are quite strict and the amounts they are willing to give you quite low. I get mine from a TRT doc outside of the VA. Even though T-Und has a long live it will still keep your levels more stable if you take it weekly. If you go for a lager dose make sure you have some AI on hand. You can also find great sources here for Test-C and Test-E which are best served bi-weekly. The reason for more frequent injections is just to keep your levels more stable, less ups and down in mood and performance. My doctor told me no one has ever OD'd on Test but from what I have read you body can only absorb so much. Good luck and glad you are feeling better.
