+ 2 Boxing politics once again huh? We are the suckers
ad
Well well well @Bill1976 here we go again with the politics of boxing. This is getting rediculous man. It's pure and simple..the BEST AREN'T FIGHTING THE BEST...PERIOD! Us pure boxing fans were supposed to have already seen Crawford vs. Spence along with many other top fights, now Usyk and Fury fight fell out. It's crazy man. I understand money plays a part but what about legacy? Even Roy Jones said nowadays this a a big problem. Back in the 80's and 90's the best fought the best regardless and the promoters didn't get in the way of that, hell in fact they encouraged it.

He moved up to hw a few years ago
Sorry got briedis confused with Gassiev
I’m kinda surprised I haven’t seen anyone mention how YouTube exhibition fights and overhyped popular internet matches are eroding… or maybe exiting the wider world of boxing. Motherfuckers like Jake Paul fighting aged out, previous MMA champs, or Garcia’s wild sideways act before his last fight bringing new eyes to the sport. Did I miss someone bringing this shit up?
@Nattyboomba
Yea u did miss something unfortunately. Boxing goes on regardless
Missed something? Guess you haven't been around bud.
Going fury, only because he came in lighter and usyk is the heaviest he has ever been makes me worried he may gas late.
Yea Usyk is coming in at 236 I believe. Could possibly interfere with his good movement. Hopefully he doesn't gas out
Uysk correct weight was 223 they announced it wrong. So he’s his normal weight
Still his highest career weight though by 2 lbs. Shouldn't matter though
I've been looking forward to this fight. Should be a good one.
25 yrs in the making my dude. Finally a undisputed at heavyweight
Yeaa buddy! Lennox Lewis last UNDISPUTED
Oh, it wasn't in the 230's?
So yeah wrong weight was announced which is strange. I figured he would of gained a little bit of weight. Fury is 262
Really? Ok well that's good. Figured he would put on a little size. Still will be outweighed by alot
He is still at a career high 223, his highest before that was 221lb
Yep. His movement wont be affected
I domt think so, unless he ages over night at 37
I agree. He gives some of the best angles ever and his leg movement is the best at heavyweight division and maybe even boxing period.
Agreed, age will most likely be the only thing that beats him. Once he loses a step in reflex and timing
I'm in my dude
@pingree24 @Gorillakingz @scoobydoo
@simonmagus84
Today is the day...
FURY OR USYK?...Fury's jab is the key. Gotta use well to offset rythm of Usyk. Usyk gives different angles so that could be a problem if not stopped by long jab.
Who yall got?
I was rooting for Fury but my gut was telling me Usyk. Fury got cocky in the fight but Fury got outboxed. I can’t wait for the rematch.
All that cockiness. Usyk don't have time to play games. That man was fighting for his country and late dad.
I thought the same thing. Usyk definitely deserved that win man. He was outweighed by 40 pounds by a skilled boxer. It's not like Fury couldn't box. Much respect to Usyk. 9th round shocked me. Now up to Fury if he wants a rematch.
If I had to lay money down right now, I have to go Usyk. I know Fury trained hard asks serious for this but I can’t unsee how bad he looked against Francis, and how bad Francis looked against Joshua. I’m taking Usyk by close decision.
Dude you definitely got this right.
That wouldn't surprise me at all. I just can't say for sure that Fury will win. Regardless they will fight again. I can see Usyk winning a close fight just like I can see Fury winning a close fight. Should be a close fight. I wouldn't lay money on this fight
Isn’t the line almost even?
This was another indicator Usyk was going to win. Vegas had them almost even. Usually Fury is a sizeable favorite.
I'm not sure..probably
It’s legitimately 50/50 if fury last fight was real fury it’s uysk by landslide decision. If fury just had a one off I actually think this will be an easy fight for fury
@Gorillakingz this Fury was not a one off Fury in my opinion
That's the thing, Fury has those 2 off fights so you don't know what's coming. But those off fights are probably him underestimating his opponent. He won't be underestimating Usyk for damn sure! That long jab is key. Either way it won't be an easy fight.
Who do feel was his other off fight ?
Like Roy Jones once said..."Yall must of forgot!"
Otto Wallin was. Totally underestimated the guy. Should of been a beatdown
Ehhh I can’t say that because half his face was tore
Off and he still won 9-3. You know cuts happen and they can change outcome of a fight look at fundora tszyu recently
Cuts do play a part but that was the same Wallin that Joshua dominated. Ahh I'd say a little closer than 9-3. He absolutely worked a little harder than Joshua for that win.
I think fundora os a stylistic nightmare for Tim. I would bet he beats him in a rematch
He's just a long awkward dude. And you're probably right. Styles make fights
Most of those boxing experts did say that Fury should have done better against Otto though.
That Tszyu fight was the nastiest ever. Tszyu a better fighter in my opinion but not sure about that match up. He's too long and awkward for Tszyu
What I'm saying is Fury should of beaten Otto like Joshua did. Big difference in those fights. Even before Fury's cut Wallin was doing well
@Gorillakingz I'm responding to your comment to me on your SI. So man your boy Wilder...I don't know what to say! And you think Wallin just didn't come to fight or Joshua did?
I think wilder is 200% finished. I don’t think he even wants to fight anymore. Joshua looked great if I’m being honest moved well punch selection was excellent wallin I don’t know man but it was sad
Yeah Wilder is 38 and he's not the same but he's got nothing to prove, I just wish he would of fought Joshua years ago but Joshua ran so that's not on Wilder. And yea Wallin didn't look like the same fighter who fought Fury...not even close. So I don't know either. But there were some good fights.
Parker is doing a great job
Overall last night was good for boxing. Alot of damn good fights.
Absolutely, although I didn’t realize it was taking place in Saudi Arabia, so I tuned in so late that I only got to watch the last two fights. I paid for it, so I can go back and watch it, but today and tomorrow are too hectic with the holidays.. I’m sure everyone would prefer watching football today and tomorrow.
Yea go back and watch it. It was a good fight card for sure. Alot of times boxing does get boring with lack of action I admit, but this wasn't. I was surprised by those fights.
Who ya got jakeko?
