ad

Genetics? Idk man, you wouldn’t say that looking at him when he started.

Steroids? Idk either. It’s easy to take a shit ton of gear, what’s hard is looking like you take a shit ton of gear. Plenty of examples out there.

Excellent responder to PEDs? Imo, yeah, obviously he has to be.

HWPO? Without a doubt.

That’s the Mutant right there. Let’s go Nick! 2024 NY PRO!

robb's picture

I think Derek is the flavour of the month that will continue for a few years.
Nick would have to beat him plus 10% to get a decision over Derek.
As for the POS Iranian hadi, Id be happy if he was never let into the US again.
hadi and big rany did nothing to promote the O.
Maybe a bit immature of me but fk these people.

I agree about Hadi being worthless to the sport. I also don’t like Derick though, his personality doesn’t vibe with mine. Big time Nick Walker fan over here lol.

DeeMan's picture

@robb @23Sparta Damn as much as I like Hadi's physique, you guys are right. I've heard that about big Ramy for awhile now.

23Sparta's picture

I mean Hadis like deaf and doesn’t speak English so that doesn’t help. IMO he should still put in work to try and connect with us if he wants to represent the sport

robb's picture

If English wasn't my first language, as soon as I got an IFBB pro card it'd be taking lessons during the off season.
Regardless of even being one of the top guys, the amount of podcasts that ex bodybuilders are now involved in, your not going to get an invite if you can't communicate, also just doing videos of ones self are only going to get views in your own country. Hadi owes his coach big time. I'd be surprised to find anyone else to put the effort in to getting his visa and him into the US, especially the first couple of years.
Big Rany did eventually learn some English but it's to late for him now, and even if he was perfectly fluent, going back to Egypt every year doesn't help.
I look forward to seeing how the next O and Arnold play out, be great to see Andrew Jacked throw a cat amongst the pigeons, if he'd started 10 years earlier he could of been the no1 they where all chasing after.
As for nick, regardless of whether you like him or not, he's totally undeniable and ignored at their peril.

23Sparta's picture

I definitely agree with you bro. Hadis foreignness is off putting. Theres so much more to this than just the shows.

I’m looking forward to the shows too, Arnold bumping up the prize money for the classic is exciting. Nicks about to qualify for the O. He keeps his head down and just grinds like a dark horse, with an army of fans behind his back

I ran out of karma but that last line wrote is gangster af. I’m gonna come back and hit later for that one

Derick is to pretty in my opinion

DeeMan's picture

Too pretty? Now this is coming from a guy that's a super model!!!! U got some nerve partner!!! Lol

23Sparta's picture

Yeah too pretty, smug, fake ass wholesomeness, pushy with the supplements. He seriously tried to be like… I’m really loving this Evogen fat burning cutting stack, it’s really working!

DeeMan's picture

Damn he's really that bad? I see that you really don't care too much for him. He does seem a bit of a prick. At least he's not pretending. We know what he is, unlike fakes.

23Sparta's picture

I think so, just the vibe he puts off, but I could be wrong. I’ve got off on the wrong foot lots of times in my life

DeeMan's picture

I got a bad vibe from what I've seen of him. But like u said we could be wrong.
But alot of guys are cocky. Hopefully that's not him.

23Sparta's picture

Shamelessly pushing that Evogen supplement cut stack did it for me. Like…. Oh yeah that’s what did it and not the clen lmao

wanted's picture

Nick walker always has PUSHED food and going years without missing a meal Definitely more of a role model

Big boii

SilverSun's picture

Thats insane. I hopped on gear to address wrecking my hormones from years of drug addiction. Although his physique is absolutely impressive, I would never want to get there myself. I’m in a physical performance based career and my paycheck absolutely suffers getting big. My pay check actually took a hit during and after a tren run because i went from 160lb to 205lb and now Im frantically trying to cut back down from 193lb where im at now, to maybe 185… 175 and hopefully it helps. Just so difficult to move around with more weight and muscle imho. Anyone else feel the same? Or is this everyones goal? Not judging, just curious.

Chad P's picture

What was your cycle to gain that much weight bro? What other compounds were you running? What was your caloric surplus? Cycle duration etc? That’s a lot of weight to put on in a single cycle, especially with Tren and its fat burning capabilities. Thanks in advance.

SilverSun's picture

Also, sorry for late response. Sometimes I cant get on here for days at a time.

SilverSun's picture

Tren e and test c. I’ve been told Im possibly a “hyper reaponder” to gear. Was only running 20mg daily test and a bit heavy on tren. 100mg every 4 days tren e. Honestly, i went about this in the worst possible manor. Ate like complete shit, didn’t follow the protocol a pro laid out for me. Tubs of Ice cream, whole milk yogurt, taco bell every morning for breakfast… I was also going through a divorce and was prescribed benzos around the same duration I was on the tren to help going through it, which made me crave eating like shit. Spent my days working on roofs, eating like shit daily, and going hard at the gym daily. I’m honestly so happy I found this forum and am now able to educate myself better. I feel like such a fool for basically abusing the compounds. To be fair though, my head was not in the right place by any means while i was doing this. You live and you learn though.

Definitely not everyone’s goal lol. Nicks an open class bodybuilder, all that mass is for show, not go. Dude probably has trouble tying his shoes. I just am a fan of the guys. I train for mass but also for performance as well. Agreed that performance does take a hit after a certain point. It’s just a balancing act with me. I still train boxing and do explosive movements, calisthenics, and a little gymnastics

SilverSun's picture

Could you elaborate on explosive movements? Want to incorporate some of this. One of the most difficult exercises i do is the slam ball. I go til Im about to pass out lol hell of a workout.

In a promo × 1
23Sparta's picture

Sure, ball slams are definitely an explosive movement. What I mean by explosive moment is one that requires you to recruit all your muscle fibers at once instead of as needed. My go to favorites are Superman pushups, where you press and explode your entire body off the ground. You can start with clap pushups if necessary. Jump squats and jump lunges. I like them weighted with a barbell. 95-135 lbs, triple set of 6-12 reps of jump squats, straight into 6-12 reps of single count jump lunges, straight into 6-12 reps of good mornings. Muscle ups are a great explosive movement. I like variations of weighted with a medicine ball between the knees or clapping where at the top of the rep you push off the bar and clap. The CrossFit version of a GHD (glute ham developer) is also explosive and great for midline core stabilization.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pbZ8mX2D1U

There are many other examples of explosive movements, for example, Olympic lifts. I just listed the ones that I use. They keep me gangster

SilverSun's picture

Hell yeah. Thanks for the info. Going to incorporate these. Weight lifting gets boring. Need to add something a bit more intense

23Sparta's picture

You already know bro. I respect and appreciate your interest

DeeMan's picture

Yea ya know we both love boxing and figured the powerlifting bug might get ya too lol. But anyways I just watched that Canelo fight. It was a banger. Canelo won a decision. I'll holler at you later bossman

23Sparta's picture

Damn, I’m about to look that fight up. Yeah, if I found powerlifting when I was younger, I know I would have got sucked in. I’m definitely paying more attention to it online. Boxing I love, I just suck lol, but doesn’t stop me from trying at all. Alright now bro, respect n gn

DeeMan's picture

Off work today and decided to hit the boxing gym for a quick cardio workout. Problem was this was after a heavy squat session at gym. Man my legs were out of there. Legs felt like jello!..still feel that way.

23Sparta's picture

Nice bro! lol, yeah after legs isn’t anything nice. Still feels good though. I’m about to hit some weights and then go for nine minutes on the heavy bag. Slow and steady wins the race.

DeeMan's picture

That's what I'm talking about..best cardio ever. I'm getting ready to do the cold water- warm water treatment in order to get my legs back.

23Sparta's picture

Oh you a fucking savage for real! Not getting my ass in no cold anything, no sir! That’s all you bro

DeeMan's picture

Trust me I'm regretting it right about now....always do! 5 more minutes until I get in.

23Sparta's picture

you’re more of a man than I am

press1's picture

Are you consistently doing the Boxing alongside weights now mate? How's it going?

In a promo × 1
23Sparta's picture

Yeah, I've been hitting the pads for about 9 minutes total, followed by just a few reps each of pistol squats, burpees, muscle ups and other bar work. It’s crazy transitioning from a bulk cycle and pure bodybuilding to explosive movements and performance. I have to go real slow and let my body adapt. At first I felt like I was made of stone, but little by little I’m getting lighter, looser, and faster.

press1's picture

Did it wear you out at first after 3 or 4 minutes? lol Which do you feel the happiest doing - Pure weight training or weights & Boxing?

In a promo × 1
23Sparta's picture

lol, no it didn’t wear me out. From experience, I’ve learned to set bar very low when I start out so I don’t overwhelm myself. I let the momentum build organically, like rolling a snowball down a hill. I love them both the same for different reasons, but for just a good time…. nothing beats smashing food and slinging iron

Perplexed's picture

Nick is 100% the definition of hard work. Having mommy daddy money and the ability to buy unlimited amount of growth / get your body worked on continuously helped too.

Not knocking him, I like the dude.

DeeMan's picture

I AM PERPLEXED when it comes to Nick Walker.
+1 for your handle name. Good timing

23Sparta's picture

Don’t think, just go. Mutant Army!!!!

DeeMan's picture

Mutant would apply to Nick for damn sure!

23Sparta's picture

That’s his handle and brand. Definitely fits

23Sparta's picture

That’s how I see it

Drexyl's picture

When I think genetics it’s not only response to the drugs, my first thought is tolerance. Like the 80 year old drunk that drank a fifth a day and smoked 2 packs, but is still alive and looking not so bad. Then guys who eat like monks and jog, exercise, but drop dead at 30. Some guys can run 3-4 grams a week of gear and be fine, most cannot. That’s the genetic advantage. And you won’t know you have it until you know you have it.

In a promo × 1
DeeMan's picture

Tolerance and response to the drugs go hand and hand in my opinion. Can't separate one from the other.

23Sparta's picture

Absolutely Drex, agreed 100. Your ability to handle the huge amount of gear that it takes to push your body so far its genetic limit. Like you said, it’s a luck of the draw type thing. Definitely see that in the street drug world, where some people get broke down and destroyed while others seem impervious. lol, I definitely am to old to find out if I have what it takes to run big boy stacks. It’s safer to assume that I can’t

DeeMan's picture

So just yesterday I brought up Nick's name in our convo so I do think this is a good post because I myself wanted to know how guys actually felt about his physique. Personally I agree with you about how humble Nick is and he always seems to respect his opponents and never talking down or even hating on them. Nick seems very secure about how he looks. Now about how Nick looks, like I mentioned to you I'm not a fan of his blocky, Icebox shape but to each their own. What surprised me was his teen pic that you posted up top. Clearly he didn't have great genetics as a teen but it looks like he is a great responder to gear. See, this hyper responder stuff is somewhat new to me because I never fully understood it but now I've come to realize it plays a big factor no doubt. Nick isn't the only huge bodybuilder that I've seen pics of as a skinny teen. In my mind I somehow always figured if a guy looks that big now then that guy must of had some sort of size or good physical characteristics when younger that were indicative of them becoming a potential muscle freak as they become older. Not always the case is what I've learned. I think the hyper responder thing is true and Nick is a prime example of that. Now in contrast take someone like a Ronnie Coleman who was muscular as a kid, hell his mom was muscular. Ronnie was an athlete and also participated in powerlifting so in a way I can see him becoming a freak. In my opinion no bodybuilder will ever have Ronnie's combination of size, symmetry and conditioning....no way. But to my point Nick pretty much has Ronnie's size without Ronnie's good genetics so there is obviously something to it besides just good genetics in Nick's case. Last thing...for u guys reading this and thinking it's all about amount of gear Nick is taking, I don't think that's the case, he just responds better to gear than the average guy that's all.

23Sparta's picture

Yeah, we do talk about this often DeeMan. Same here, wanted to hear these guys opinions, so I made a post and kinda worded it a little provocatively lol. The aesthetics of Nick’s physique, is subjective. What’s not is that he’s big af now and wasn’t before. So the conversation about how and why he was able to do that is interesting to me. Everyone had their opinion. What can probably be agreed upon by everyone is that’s it’s a combination of factors. My personal opinion is that not enough credit is given to the fact these dudes work hard for that shit. I think a lot of people that want something and don’t have it, and I’m talking about anything in life, they don’t want to hear that it’s because of something that they had control over. Yes, there are God given advantages, but I know for a fact that everyone is blessed by him in some way. I don’t worry about the things I can’t change, I work my ass off to change the things I can. I’m short, with a T-Rex reach. Makes me good at bench press but shitty at throwing hands with tall dudes. I don’t go around saying he can only whoop me because he’s tall. I get in there and figure it out. I took a lot of L’s to be able to stand confidently toe to toe against a big reach advantage

You know what I’m saying?

DeeMan's picture

Hey that's why you bob and weave to get inside of those guys with long arms. Most guys with long arms are terrible inside fighters simply because of poor body mechanics and they're use to fighting at a distance. Mike Tyson mastered the art of fighting big tall guys inside and I see why. So your T-Rex arms do have their advantages, especially on bench press, my favorite lift of ALL time lol.

So about Nick...I was hoping I didn't make you mad lol. But seriously yes he does work hard no doubt and other factors come into play for sure but I think and I could be wrong, this guy is a damn good responder who can also tolerate high amounts of gear. That's just my opinion. If that's his situation and he's doing everything else right like eating, resting and busting his ass in the gym he cannot fail...cannot! So yea I do think alot of guys today work hard just like old school guys did. But also some guys nowadays are lazy and rely solely on gear.
