Far from invincable. Its a part of me though. A thing in my life thats mandatory and common to my life.
This will be year 22 in a row that I have lifted consistently all year. 19 of those naturally.
Beast mode
It’s like my therapy and It makes me happy. I genuinely love training. I feel sick if I miss days. I think the longest I’ve ever gone without lifting was 7 days. And that was after my ACL surgery. Starting week 2 after surgery, I started hitting upper body every other day because that’s all I could do. And I only waited til week 2, because I couldn’t make it down my stairs during week 1 to get to my gym.
When I travel for work my coworkers know to not even ask if I want to go out to dinner in the evening. They already know I found a local gym, paid for a day or week pass, and am gonna be lifting lol. Fuck socializing, I’ll talk to the iron
I'm exactly the same, after 2 days of rest I am itching to train again and if I can't life feels totally different. 3 days and I start to lose desire and motivation to do things. I remember when I got my pec tear and I think I took something like 10 straight days off and it was utter hell!!! My appetite totally disappeared and it felt like I was never going to be able to train again.
I never had an injury like that but, I’d like to think I’d be the same as you. Mad respect for willing your body back to glory. I truly believe this is in our blood. We are all descendant from warriors, Ashanti, Zulu, Samurai, Aztec, Viking, Spartan, Roman, etc…. You activate that DNA, it’s a wrap. You are now forever bound to deal with that energy and in today’s society…. when you can’t run around chopping off heads…. slingin’ steel is a healthy option
Jesus that's some commitment!!
What’s your number? How many decades have you been lifting old man?
10 years straight, before then back in my teenage years and early 20's it totals about 6 years.
Savage Press! Damn, I was still confused a little bit, but now I understand how to calculate. I’m on a 7 year run right now. Better not take your foot off the gas Press or I’ll catch you!
Damn, I don’t get a medal? I feel like I deserve a medal
LMFAO!!! Its like playing Street Fighter isn't it - YOU WIN!!!!!
Lmao, where’s the bronze? You made this! You couldn’t include a bronze for 5-10 years?
At first I actually did LOL!!! Then I felt I was being too lenient and had to make things a little tougher - Do you want me to include a Bronze Medal to make you feel a little bit more included in the gang mate??! LMAO
No, it’s not really that big of a…. Fuck yeah I want a bronze medal!
There you go matey - I think I've been more than generous there LMFAOOO!!!!!
I’m dyyyying Press, I had to google wtf a bog roll is and LMFAO!!!! It’s still a medal though, I’ll take it, thank you kind Sir, gentlemen, scholar, blah blah
HAHAHA As I was writing it I was thinking I have a funny feeling the term 'Bog roll' doesn't even mean anything over there!!! Lmfao
Yeah well it didn’t, but it does now! That’s another one I’m commandeering, along with hench and mate.
Bog roll beats saying toilet paper any day
Hench is a fairly old school term used over here, I hadn't heard it in a while until Stokes started saying it lol Yeh Bog Roll is a slang term for it thats basically very easy to say - its definitely NOT a term you would use if you were stood in front of your girlfriends mother!!! LMAO Cunt is a great one to use bud - its basically the most downgrading term you can use for a woman over here lol They don't like Cow either.
lol, we definitely have cunt as well. Same thing too, like the worst word to call a female. I like old school, hench is tough, like one you want to use sparingly so it carries weight when you say it.
One of the funniest differences we have is our abbreviation of language if you can call it that - I have often said to US guys on here 'How do you find the Tren ace from here?' and a member will say back 'what do you mean, like how do I find where the source lives?!' Lmao when what we are asking is 'What do you think to the Tren ace/How do you find it' LOL Thats always a funny one. Ohh and Fanny over here means vagina lol
How to you find the tren ace from here? Lmao…. I find it in my mailbox a few days after I send the money.
Yeah, there’s slight bit of a gap between our two versions of English for sure.
Fanny means vagina? How could that be!? Over here is like a really really old, corny way of saying butt. I bet that’s caused a problem for an American more than a few times over there lmao
Time counts from when you started until now? Or do we minus years we spent not training?
Just total up the years you have spent actively lifting weights bud, but don't include the gaps where you haven't.
