ad

Over the last couple years my grocery bill has gone through the roof. To feed just myself and a dog i spend anywhere from $70-100/week at the grocery store pretty easily. So i'm looking for all you're tips & hacks for both getting groceries cheaper and meals that can be made on a budget while still being filling and reasonably good for getting in the macros/calories we're trying to get in.

So, what do you boys got?

Man it's rough as everything has shot up in price. I always say this is the worst time to be a bodybuilder lol. Personally I don't buy as much fish or steak anymore because of cost. My protein intake has never been over 1 gram per pound of bodyweight so I'm not affected as much as others that consume alot more protein, I feel for those guys. I try to just keep the diet basic with basic cheap foods such as rice, oatmeal, potatoes, chicken etc.

I don't do much steak anymore either. Unless there's a hell of a sale. Tons of lean ground beef, chicken and pork though. All depends on what's the best deal that week.

I meant the monthly total from his food is more than my rent. He's spending a minimum of $1520/month on food. Thats a couple hundred more than my monthly rent. I've got a 1 bedroom w/ a garage. I don't think it's cheap. but it is compared to that guys grocery bill.
