+ 2 How I got rid of biceps tendonitis within 4 weeks using anavar/oxandrolone and collagen peptides
Finally managed to cure my tendonitis (both arms) so I decited to edit this post to a shorter version and a better read.
the problem:
I was 44 years old, 1,78m tall, 72kilos and on TRT (190mg cipionate/week, pinning eod) for few years. training Mo/wed/fri (early morning) by the 100rep-system from athleanx. My last blast with tbol in August 2023 caused me a painfull tendinitis distalis in both of my arms which lasted since this month - full 6 monthes.
the therapy:
Cut out my arm workout and some other exercices that hurted the most and instead of dumbbels I switched to maschines. Doctor prescripted me some bandages which I didnt used by the advice from other members here. Instead of that I used lifting hooks for the pull motions and used a massage-gun aswell as cold rollers 2 - 3 times the day.
Also I started with 25mg of anavar/oxandrolone (UGL) the day split in two, taken with 10 hours in between. Also took 5mg cialis/day, 30g Collagen-peptides, with vitamin c and EEa´s. Also creatine, betaine, cholin, tudca and NAC.
beginning of week three I was hit by a mild cold and took the week off - no workouts
the success:
positive effects showed up fast - better mood, better motivation - added a 12min sixpack workout (by sascha huber, Youtube) mo/wed/fri (evening) and after week 2 I added 10 mins rope jumping (tue/thu/sat). The boost from the Var was more psychiological - got no strenght-boost like Im used from tbol. friend of mine asked whats the difference between car and tbol. For me its like that: on turinabole I went to the gymn, expecting nothing special - and supriced myself with a BIG boost of strenght and endurance. On var I go to the gymn, feeling like I could move 40 percent more weight than before - and supricing myself that thats not the case :D.
For my tendinitis: first 2 weeks nothing happened, beginning of week two it went better by the day, beginning of week 5 its completeley gone!! Ill keep var up for another 3 weeks (so 8 in total) and keep the traning like the last weeks - then I´ll return to normal - but keeping to maschines instead of dumbbells, that lesson I learned.
effects on my body:
got rid of some fat (8,9% bodyfat atm) and gained some 1,5 kilos weight - guess sceletton muscle mostly - since I don´s see much difference.
trying to upload some pictures I took within 4 weeks of each other (didnt worked by now for some reason).
Take care and hopefully You got rid of Your tendinitis, too - If You have one. Kinda regards - Trachtman
older version of this post:
Hey there folks,
Im 44 years old, running trt with 190mg/week now and blasted a bit with turinabole now and then. Last blast was in August and caused a tendonitis in both ellbows which I deal with since then. Stopped my arm-programm and changed the other exercices a bit to less impact on the bicep's tendons. Also I wear bandages in the gymn. Last thing I tryed was Bpc-157, 2 x 500mg/day in every ellbow for 4 Weeks- didnt caused any healing sadly. Now I wann try a different thing: 30 gramm of collagen peptides and 10mg oxandrolone the day for 8 weeks - along with some diy cryotherapie and stretching every day.
Also I wanna find out if that low dose var caused any improvement in my training.
If anyone is interested in that case just follow my writings- will date You up every weekend. Also im open for any good advice.
I'm german so please excuse my unperfect english please.
Best regards

Buddy, you need to stop wearing bandages/elbow sleeves when working out - this is limiting your blood flow to the tendons and will be doing them no good at all. They need blood & nutrient uptake to heal and all its doing is restricting them. It may help with inflammation pain a little as it puts pressure on the area but it definitely isn't helping with healing.
Seems right - I'll leave em home from now on --
There are certain exercises some people just can't do. You got to figure out what those are and cut them out.
Most definitely, I do recall there was certain exercises that seemed to make it worse
basle2124When I blew my bicep out climbing I did lateral turns with a heavy hammer with my arm at full extension. Took the pain away within a week.
Overhead tricep extensions seem to cause a lot of people elbow pain. Hammer curls is another one that can cause pain.
I got my tendonitis from benchpress, incline benchpress and standing shoulderpress with dumbbells. The exercises itself was fun, especially with tbol in the System. What fucked my tendons was grabbing the dumbbels and getting them in the starting position of the exercise - a hammercurl-like motion with lots of weight. Ignored the pain since I never had any problems like this - and thought that was part of the (tbols) game and a special version of soreness -- Switches to machines then - less fun but healthier..
I bought these hooks called MadSpotters. No more lifting dbells off the floor onto my thighs. Put that energy into the presses without wasting energy or injuring yourself.
I spent 5 minutes there working out how the hell those worked then realised they are actually clips fixed to the dumbells that hook round the barbell?!! lol
I've always found close grip bench extremely bad for shoulder pain, it causes internal rotation of the shoulder apparently.
Had the same issue wore the elbow sleeves/wraps and personally think it restricted blood flow which didn't help. It only got better when I stopped wearing them and started warming up really well. I didn't use peptides or anything and seemed to take a few months to get right
It's not talked about often on here, but look into GHK-Cu peptide.
I've been experimenting on/off with different peptides to see what actually is worth the cost and effort of daily injections to have a positive effect. I'm pretty convinced that GHK-Cu has legitimate benefits that I noticed fairly quickly which fall into the same "anti-aging & healing" category as HGH in a lot of ways. Collagen synthesis, tissue repair, anti-inflammatory, and many other benefits great for bodybuilders and general health - I cycled it for 6 weeks at 1-2mg per day with subq injections. Also, it's a blue powder, which is kinda cool to inject once you reconstitute it lol.
Read this review paper for more info: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6073405/
I know this is a late reply but I was just talking to my girl about trying this with me. I lift and all but I've been looking into it just for general health. Any girl is 42 and seems to be losing alot of hair and she is kinda sketched out by it. I told her about ghk-cu for her health. It's an odd question but did you notice anything with hair growth or anything with the scalp?
Go to his profile and add him as a friend mate - he's a really cool, clever guy and will get back to you for sure.
Take your Collagen peptides in with EAA's bud - I do this & they both work together very well. I often have sore shoulders and RC's but when I follow this routine ED it goes completely! 1 gram Vitamin C ED also which helps collagen synthesis. I also think you will need to run more Var ED too, try 30mg ED. You probably know this already but E.Q helps collagen production also.
There is also various evidence showing that collagen peptides are most effective just after you have created blood flow in the area, so either take them straight after upper body training or on rest days do a little bicep routine to get the blood pumping in those areas. Blood supply is often very poor through tendons especially during rest, so increased circulation is better for the peptide uptake.
Thanks man! 5g Creatine and Vitamin c is also in my daily Mix- along with nac, choline, beatine, tudca. Those for my liver. EAA il try! Which dosage would You recoment for that 30g collagen?
I take just 1 scoop per day of Collagen & Vit C powder which is about 15g, they say this is the optimal effective dose in tendon studies but if you can tolerate more of it then go for 30g per day!!
LOL John Haack consumes 30g Collagen every day so there must be benefit to that amount but I like to get it over with quickly lol. Take 12g EAA's with it.
Thanks
I'll order EAAs now. What is that E.Q. you talked about? Bout that Var-dose; vigorous steve told in his Videos that dosages over 25mg should be avoided cause of sides, should I maybe try 10 ed the first week and then raise to 20mg? Tbol i tolerated well with 30mg ed - but thats a different thing I think?
I'm not sure what side effects he is referring to? Most people tolerate Anavar very well up to 40/50mg per day. Only slight side I get is sleepiness within an hour of taking it but that then goes in time, many don't get that though. Yeh sure - you do whatever you think is best! Start at 10mg and go up to 20mg if you prefer. Tbol is along the same lines as anavar really, dry lean gains with minimal sides. A safer less harsh version of Dbol.
Some further Informations bout me and my training:
I train with the 100 workout from athlean x (youtube). Some exercises I changed a bit and the arms I dont train These days cause of my tendonitis.
I usually train 3 days/week (mo,we,fr) so if I start with back on monday, then glutes on wednesday, chest on friday, shoulders on monday and so on. For cardio I do a 30 mins rope-jump after each workout expext on glutes-day.
On training-days I go up on 4am and hit the gymn for about an hour before working-day starts at 6 am. On tuesday and wednesday I go up 5am and I'll do a 12min sixpack-at home-workout (Sascha Huber on YouTube) did that workout in the past but was too lazy over winter.
Saturday and sunday I dont do sports.
Plan is to get in good shape to start contact-sports again like I did when I was younger. Back then it was for fun, today its necessary since our socialistic gouverment startet to turn our country in a third-world shithole back in 2015.
Im age 44, 1,77m, 72 kilos on trt with 190mg/week
and on ketogenic diet which I want to stay on while on this cycle. When I blasted with tbol it was impossible as my bloodsugar dropped dramatically and I had to eat some ricepudding pre-workout.
So here is my final intake-plan for the next 8 weeks:
After getting up in the morning: 5g creatine, 500mg Choline, 1g betaine, 5mg cialis, 10mg var (sublingually, then down with grape-juice)
After workout: 30g collagen-peptides, 1g vitamine C, 10g EAA's
9am: 800mg Nac, 1000mg Tudca,
7 pm: 10mg Var
9pm: 1000mg Tudca, 800mg Nac
Ill do before and after pictures, too.
Ok- I'll try that and keep You updated -
have a nice weekend!
4th of February (Sunday)
Started with 10mg Var sublingually at 7:00 am. Felt kinda energyzed soon after so restarted with my 12 min sixpack-workout after breakfast (which is unusal for me. At weekends I dont exercise but relax). Took the second one at 4pm, felt awake and energized whole day till I hit the bed at 8:30.
5th of February (monday)
Got up at 4:10 am and took 10mg Var sublingually and downed it with grapejuice. For breakfast I had 30g rice-pudding with 100g peanutbutter, 5mg cialis, 5g creatine, 1g choline, 0,5g betaine and a cup of coffee. This would be my breakfast on workout-days (mo, we, fr) for the next 8 weeks.
On nonworkout-days I wont have the rice-pudding/peanutbutter and stick to my ketogenic diet whole day (including the breakfast).
Hit the gym at 4:45 back-workout today. Felt energiezed and motivated, had some problems with fatigue week before while my workouts, today no problems at all. The banadages I left at home.
Post-workout-pain in my arms from my tendonitis. But this time mainly in my forearms, maybe caused by increased pump?
Ordered some Lifting-hooks for my back-day, hope that helps.
Felt really switched-on and seems I'm more sensitive to cofeine today. Will reduce my consume to 1 cup in the morning from now on. Seems Var keeps me awake enough for my office-job.
Took the second 10mg Var at 4 pm afterwork, still feeling good but arms still hurting a bit. Will stretch them out later.
Short Update!
Day 18 of since I started this Anavar-project: pain in my arms under normal conditions (not-workout-day) allmost completely disappeared. Libido went straight up, pumps in the gymn went up, too but not too hard like others experienced on higher doses. Tryed to ad 5mg in the morning to my 20mg daily but got hard headaches from it. Ordered Taurine and will try again tomorow (shoulder-workout) maybe with 12,5mg - 12,5mg split. If that works better I'll stick to that 25mg for the Rest of the cycle, if not I'll keep up with 20mg. I'll keep You updated for my arms. For the effect the Var has on my training and my constitution Ill report at the end of the cycle with the pictures I take (I take one front and back every week) best regards
