Burpee

Shitforbrains's picture

That’s a good one until my back gave out from getting destroyed from doing burpees for to many years. But I guess everyone’s joints and tendons would be thrashed from doing their personal exercise for to many years. I would do dip’s but PRESS didn’t want to include them. Thanks press lol

press1's picture

LMFAO To be honest they didn't even enter my head at all lol But speaking of destroying joints and tendons if you want to destroy your shoulders then dips are No.1 for that purpose!! Lol

eighty7's picture

Technique has a lot to do with it. Depending on hand placement and range of motion

press1's picture

If you can be disciplined with them and not sink below parallel on your upper arm, and just use them for triceps then they are great! but problem I find is you always want to get that chest stretch out of them that feels so good and that means dipping low and once I do that personally my front delts and R' cuffs are blitzed for at least a week lol I think its to do with internal rotation of the shoulder joint same as close grip benching causing problems for some.

Shitforbrains's picture

I did burpees in prison for a very long time. About a thousand a day for years. I never want to do burpees again to be honest lol

I think if you've spent most of your time lifting heavy weight, bodyweight exercises like something a gymnast would do become very hard. It's like all that heavy lifting stiffens you up.

Shitforbrains's picture

Oh yea bro it absolutely stiffens you up. I did mixed martial arts for a few years and boxed and there is no way I could fight myself right now. I’m way to stiff and clumsy. When your doing all body weight stuff it limbers you up I feel. All about relaxation.

Brozowski265's picture

Yes it does. Yet I still remember them burpees from hs football, I can't to this day drink lime Gatorade, from the last time I did them(thanks coach)
Lol

Ya gotta

Shitforbrains's picture

This is absolutely the truth unfortunately. It’s just a game changer when it comes to upper body development especially weighted dips.

I'd rather walk around without any freakishly large body part while the rest of me was a skinny fuck. Big upper body, no legs and vice versa, big arms and no chest or legs... endless possibilities.

I'll stick with the pear-shaped dad bod... "Pass me another Bud Lite Dylan."

Makwa's picture

With all options available to them, most guys in the gym still seem to be suffering from CLS. "Chicken Leg Syndrome"

Shitforbrains's picture

Or imaginary lat syndrome.

press1's picture

What about walking around with an XL sized Trouser snake though??! - That still looks pretty cool being out of proportion to the rest of your body Lmao

Shitforbrains's picture

Lol yea I can support this. I’m dying laughing. I’ll take it and be out of proportion all day every day.

Curls for the girls Lol

JakeKO's picture

Ok, my vain personality would have to go with Dumbbell/Barbell Curls. Cause you know I’m going to break the rules and use those dumbbells for other exercises when Gods busy, LOL

Bill1976's picture

I can’t even vote on this. I need all of them and then some

Gym and Bikes_bro's picture

I'd say deadlifts because that's probably the most complex excersise in the list. But then I decided to be honest with ya all, so I checked rows, because that's one I enjoy and still consider pretty complex, with free weight and enough variations Smile

P.S. Imagine how funny we would look in a year or two, only doing one excersise while completely neglecting others, LOL! B-)

press1's picture

I think doing heavy barbell rows to failure is one of the most nauseating, tough exercises you can do especially afterwards lol There seems to be something about being bent over and bracing your stomach while lifting that is a killer - defo worse than deads. I think you could get away with doing squats or deads for the rest of time and always look pretty big - but you would never have a chest lol

Brozowski265's picture

Trying to bust through doorways with my shoulders and deltoid caps. Idc about being lean.

Drexyl's picture

I’m the dumbbell bench press. I was going to choose squats, and it was a tough decision not to, but I have to be honest with myself. Every year that goes by my knees are just not what they once were, and when I’m on top of a woman she’s looking at my upper body. My legs could have polio and she’d never know.

HAHAHA ROFL Yeah it seems to be chest or abs they get fixated with when you are giving them a good piledrivin!!! lol

SimonM84's picture

$35 and my wife can come for free as a guest

press1's picture

Can she come an unlimited number of times? The one I am doing I think allows 4 passes per month

SimonM84's picture

No, unlimited. It’s an unlimited 1 person guest pass. I have access to all the classes and tanning but I don’t do those butt and gut classes and I sure as hell don’t need a tan.

Drexyl's picture

That’s a two for one then, very good deal especially if you can tan.

press1's picture

Do you get free sunbeds too?

SimonM84's picture

It’s the stand up shit. If I want to get a shade darker all I have to do is stand outside for 10 minutes. That fake and bake is terrible.

Drexyl's picture

I need the tanning bed, I just burn in the sun. Plus I like to keep a healthy glow on the banana.

SimonM84's picture

Lol glow on the banana. I need to figure out how to grow the banana

press1's picture

Yeh I forget you guys actually get sun over there don't you! Lol

SimonM84's picture

You I couldn’t do your climate. God bless those who endure it.

press1's picture

Let's start up another conversation here too - What does everyone pay for their gym membership each month? I have found a place in town that I am going to join which has extra stuff I don't have access to normally, and its only $25 per month which I think is ridiculously cheap? Has Leg press's, Bench's, Power racks, Deadlift platforms, Stones platform, sleigh track etc.

RobertB80's picture

£21. Gym is kitted out, can’t fault it. Used to pay over £100 a month 10 years ago, absolute joke.

press1's picture

You referring to the same one as me mate - Puregym?

RobertB80's picture

The gym group mate. Pure is pretty decent too, have joined two of theirs over the years

press1's picture

Have you got any of these Matt does fitness gyms near you?

Makwa's picture

About $30/month

Waltdisneysbum's picture

I'll own my vote, I voted for squats! I think there is no better lift than a juicy barbell back squat... No better feeling than having every fiber and tendon of your body braced and engaged while the gym watches you under a ridiculous amount of weight Blush

Unfortunately my shoulder mobility is shocking these days so I find it hard getting my hands tilted behind my head Lol I have to use a squat safety bar now. Do you have access to a monolift station?
