+ 3 Drunk Dreams!!
Hi Guy's - I Hope everyone is keeping well during these Freezing Winter months!!!
I had one of those crazy drinking dreams early hours of this morning, where in your dream it feels like you are drinking and you literally feel drunk! LOL I haven't had one of these in over a year now, when I first quit I would get them all the time I guess from my mind being able to remember exactly what it was like back then. It was one of these dreams where when you wake up for the first 20 seconds or so you still feel drunk and are just laid there in utter disbelief and disgust believing you have just relapsed - but then a HUGE feeling of relief passes over you in knowing it was all just a dream 
Coming up is probably our most testing time of the year, I know it is for me. We are amongst many people celebrating Xmas and the holidays during which alcohol and good times go hand in hand, or at least I always thought they did. Now I would much rather be sober and appreciate them for what they are and what they mean rather than simply seeing how wasted I can get. Many a time at these kind of family gatherings I would let it be known what I really thought of certain people such as girlfriends mothers who didn't like me LMAO & although it was true in what I would say to them it would have been better left unsaid, and would have saved me an argument when I got home and the entire next day!! lol
So unlike countless years in the past where we used our good friend and crutch known as alcohol - lets all enjoy this coming month making nothing but memories of happiness and joy with our closest that mean the world to us.

PropheticWookieBro, with the upcoming holidays and I wish you to get a true feeling of joy and happiness without the fate of alcohol and that all hardships remain in the past, and happiness and smiles of good people await you.
Great thoughts, great writing. Yes, now the cold has gone and the people around are having fun. I have a feeling that the evil one is tempting me and, as it were, beckons me to return back to the bottle of whiskey. But I look at my loved ones, I look at those who support me. I read the group, you and it gives additional strength to continue this path. And to celebrate and is in a festive mood sober and without addiction. Thank you for such insightful words.

If there's a name for a bottle of Evil then a bottle of Whiskey it is - I did many years on Jack Daniels mixed with coke or lemonade and there was always one thing guaranteed for that night I was drinking it, an evil little bastard in me and a ruined night for everyone else! Lmao God knows how my girlfriend at the time put up with the years of shit I gave her, picking arguments over the slightest little thing.
I am happy that now I am with you and this makes me feel good and smile at life. Because I feel that I have become stronger.
I remember the same moments when my loved ones endured everything that I did when I drank and hooligans.

Tell your loved ones more often that you love them and that they are dear. It brings people together and makes everyone a little happier. it seems to me.

Amen brother. I've actually been have had a few dreams in the last 3 weeks. Xmas has always been rough since my early 20s. I wake up so abruptly . Kinda when you dream you're falling. Man it's intense
The shame. But the feeling you get when you realize your okay. Hope everybody stays strong!
I think we can all agree that the dreams during our teenage years were the best!! LMAO Gear seemed to put an end to all those for me though
