TricepatopsThere are many different types of drugs to treat UC. Depends what they have used in the past or haven't used. Sometimes if you contact the makers of the drug they have programs to help you. But if this is the first of this diagnosis then there are many cheaper drugs to try first.

TricepatopsYou should reach out to the makers of it and explain that insurance doesn't cover it. Also if you have the doctor call insurance and explain that this drug is the only one that works then they might have to cover it if other drugs have failed. There are also community resources to help cover prescription drugs. I know it sucks and take time but if you truly can't afford it then it will be worth it. I looked on Goodrx and the cheapest I saw was 400 for a month supply.
