Anyone ever have Meralgia Paresthetica
ad
I’m dealing with this ailment that is so damn painful and no meds seem to be working. Chiropractor didn’t work, massaged (deep tissue) didn’t work, acupuncture didn’t work now I’m scheduled to see a surgeon but was hope to somehow reverse this without surgery.

Yes I do albeit it is more of an annoyance than a real issue (currently) superficial numbness and tingling in my outer thigh on my left leg. I wonder how common this is in the bodybuilding community. The issue first started after a really taxing leg day, which I had doms lasting several days. I have discontinued GH use, and switched to a low dose cruise of test/deca and the symptoms seem to be less as pronounced as they were initially. I’ve lost about 4-5lbs of fluff, Not sure if there is any connection … I’m thinking increased water retention leading to nerve compression.
I also am more mindful of the tightness of the pants I am wearing, which I’ve read could also cause this issue.
Kill there are some good stretches you can do. It may or may not work. Check you tube.
It may not be Paresthetica. My pain is constant and severe. The femoral cutaneous nerve is trapped and you get electric shocks nonstop for me at least. Doc sent me for an MRI to get to the root cause. He thinks it’s coming from a back issue. If you truly have it and goes untreated without correcting itself you can get paralysis in that leg. Now I’m in the hospital with Covid so I’m doing great lol.
I believe there are different grades of severity to this condition. I do have numbness and tingling on the outer quad of my left leg, fitting the symptoms. And some can be treated without surgical/invasive treatments depending on the cause.

Surgery would be my last option. Mine is very sensitive even to touch and massage has now become impossible. Its a damn pain that I hate. It hurts most for me when standing g in place.
Bro, were you diagnosed by a physician? Is it the correct spelling, or you meant meralgia paresthetica?
DG I had an MRI apparently my L4 & L5 disks require surgery. I was told this many years ago but I never did it because you are never the same after back surgery. I guess this Paresthetica is being caused from this back issue. Dr is sending me for one more test.
Not very good news, man.
But, at least you know your diagnose now.
Sometimes it is half the job.
I hope 2022 brings you qualified doctors and speedy recovery.
Thank you very much. Happy New Year!
Yeah it was diagnosed. It sucks! I font want to get decompression surgery. It’s a long recovery. Chiropractor was BS so was acupuncture.
I wish you to come through it all with the minimal loss and maximum gain.
Thank you buddy. It’s a horrible thing. I’m going to a specialist. We will see
