AnonOne of the first signs of really good Test is the vascularity in my quads. For example if it's week 4 of a cycle of 500mgs a week of some good Test C or E, my quads have more prominent vascularity all day everyday.
SwoljaboyAgreed. I contribute that vascularity to the DHB I was running as well. I dropped to TRT and they are still vascular so I’ll take it. Lol

SwoljaboyUmm I honestly dont know. I dont get pip very easily. But since the added Mass I have been able to Hit side Quads and its been one of my go to spots. Since they grew a little I go upper or Lower Quad I Bleed Every single time as to when I first started I never would Bleed. But as far as Pinning Side quads WAY easier and more Smooth for me dont feel a thing and I can get more Volume in the side. I Rarley hit Upper or lower any more. Not much Fat on there either. they are pretty solid.

AnonMakes sense. Same for me. Even the bleeding too. I just wipe my finger with alchol and lightly press over the injection sight for about 30 seconds I guess, then wipe with alchol again.
SwoljaboyI usually try to Z-track and that helps some to. But im talking about squirting blood some times rushes out. a little blood is whatever alcohol press whipe clean. but yea i feel my quads have gotten more sensetive to spasms more nerves. if you have not tried side Quad give it a whirl one day lol Ill throw 2.5ml in there likes its nothing.

My two cents brother. Give it a shot as a change up for a 2-3 month periodization.
Hit legs twice a week, but quads and hams same day. Make sure you’re eating enough and spacing enough time in between and continuing to focus on time under tension. I can say from experience at least for myself and others I know that compete at higher levels that at a point when you really want to create growth, stimulus twice a week really makes a difference.
Preexhaust the adductors and glute med by hitting hip addiction/abduction first. Then chose your main compound lift for the day whether that is high/low bar back squat, front squat, leg press, dead’s, etc. Then right to your extension and curls. Bilateral movement. The second leg day of the week should be started the same, but chose a different compound movement (high volume) and then your extension and curls should be single leg, unilateral movements.
Finish with your choice of walking or standing lunges and of course never neglect the calves.
I’ve seen a lot of improvement for myself here over the last year utilizing this training method. Changing up rep and weight ranges as well as time under tension every 8-12 weeks or so. Keeps it fresh even if they are the same movements. Simple, but effective.
SwoljaboyI am going to give this a go. I usually start with leg extensions with leg curls to get them warmed up and going. Then squats, Bulgairan split squats, end with leg press. throw calves super set with the leg press. I for sure need to change it up a little. Thanks broskie, Never really got into the hip abductor machine or none of that Kills my groin lol. Ill give her a shot again. Next leg day I am going to do this. and follow suit again for the second day different lifts tho. I will get there one day lmao. 8 month in this journy still learning as well from you guys I appreciate your knowledge and guidance. Its the only way to improve. Also I recently switched it up one day I do really heavy weight rep range 5-8. the second day I do Higher volume 12 reps with a lot of super sets. The past few weeks I have just been going through the motions not really pushing myself. But this last few days I am back on the grind pushing hard. I was kinda in a de-loading phase. I did it for all my lifts.
I have decent adductors. I’ll throw up a pic of my last peak week before my last show. I personally think they really make the rest of the quads pop well giving a different dimension especially if you have high insertions and a good sweep on the lateralis

I usually have a 2x/wk split which has worked pretty good. 1x/wk wasn't cutting it. 1 day focused on quads and 1 day focused on hams.
I do same at that working to good for me too
