As long as I try, with all my heart and soul, to pass along to others what has been passed along to me, and do not demand anything in return, life is good to me. Before entering this program of Alcoholics Anonymous I was never able to give without demanding something in return. Little did I know that, once I began to give freely of myself, I would begin to receive, without ever expecting or demanding anything at all. What I receive today is the gift of "stability," as Bill did: stability in my A.A. program; within myself; but most of all, in my relationship with my Higher Power, whom I choose to call God.

Its a shame as one of my best all time friends on here called Bill G would have loved this group, he loved talking about AA and everything that went with it. If a newcomer came on here asking if it was okay to mix steroids and alcohol I would first try to speak to them and lecture them on why they shouldn't be doing it. If that didn't work I would simply set Mr. G on them and they were begging for mercy in no time!! LMAO He was a truly great person who I spoke to everyday on here, his wife contacted me through his Eroids account to tell me she had got home from work and found him lifeless on the floor of the shower as he had suffered a heart attack. My world froze for the next two weeks after that - I couldn't believe how attached to someone I had become just through messages on the Internet & we had never even spoken in person before. I had known him for about 3 years on here right from the start, one of his favourite things I taught him was the plastic bottle trick around his shins so he would stop scraping them when doing deadlifts Lol Just the little things eh Cray 2 I guess what I am saying is never just take for granted the people you meet and truly get along with on here for tomorrow they may be gone in the blink of an eye, its not just a robot sat behind these comments but a real person who often you end up finding you have so much in common with Smile Angel

Press, thank u very much for sharing with us.
I’m sorry for ur loss.
As humans , alone we can’t , together we can.
We all need each other in this life and today it’s not me, me , me, I, I, I!
It’s about helping others. As crazy as this may sound, yeah I’m doing this for me, but I’m really doing this for u guys and everyone else.
With nothing expected in return.

Friends are there for us when we're not there for ourselves. Friends really help us gain valuable perspective on thi gs going on in our lives and our recovery. It is important that we actively cultivate friendships, for we have learned that we cannot recover alone. I am sorry to hear that bro i have lost some really good friends in this program but i am thankful God gave me a chance to have those friendships..it means a lot to have you stop by and share i appreciate it bro..

I know whats thats all about it was always what you can do for me. I love how once you start working a program you really see people turn around physically spiritually and mentally... once you start working with a newcomer and with in a month they turn from lifes not fair and miserable to slowly putting a smile on their face and allowing their guard to be put down we always see miracles take place everyday in the rooms thats amazing.

It would be nice for all of u newcomers to tell us a little about yourselves, where ur at in ur recovery& plz share some experience, strength & hope with the rest of us and this group is for ALL OF US!
Nobody’s special!
There’s nothing anyone can say or have done in ur past that will be judged in this group.
Open up!
We need to be comfortable being uncomfortable.
