FREELETICS OR GYM?

FREELETICS OR GYM ?
-
I used to tried mobile sports apps in both android and IOS devices and benefited from both.
-
After a while I heard about CrossFit and tried that one, too.
-
Now FREELETICS came in and people claim that it is better than going to gym and wasting a lot of time to get in shape.
For me GYM ambiance and culture can not be compared to those kind of apps but on the other hand if you don't have any time it is better to make sth than not doing anything.
But I wonder, Can freeletics be better than going to gym if done properly ?!!

I prefer the gym personally. i like the camaraderie and helping other lifters with their workouts. Also comparing notes with others!
It depends on your goals. If you just wanna be one of those little calisthenics guys then I’m sure that’s a fine way to start out until you can plan things out yourself. Some of those dudes can do some impressive shit though. Maybe you can get a gig at cirque de solé ;)
I’m assuming you’re just starting out? In which case I hope you’re only here for training and nutrition advice?
If that app is what it takes to get you training consistently then go for it. Just know if size is your end goal you’ll want to move over to a gym sooner or later. More likely sooner. Apps like that are great to get people into a habit of working out and living a more healthy lifestyle, but you can only go so far with those routines.
Unless you’re one of those black dudes that has awesome genetics and gets shredded working out at a playground lol. Gonna be tough to build legs like that tho, although I’m sure you can get creative
Do you guy's not log anything down in diaries or journals etc? I'm not criticising or anything I just never hear of people doing that anymore.
I used to write everything down. Its a great way to monitor your progress. These days I usually just go by memory.
I've tried that a few times mate, but I find it so useful during the times when you get stuck in a plateau (or it feels like it!) and you can compare a chest workout to a month ago and then realise you have progressed quite a bit more over that time than what you thought you had, or even just bettering a 2nd or 3rd set here and there by a few kg's can both be a real morale booster and get you feeling positive again
I do, oldschool with pen and paper. I log my workout routines, exercises, times of warm-up and main-training, writing down how my workout went (good or bad strength, problems with joints, etc.)
jayiskno records no notes...lol

I keep all my workouts on an app called “Evernote” on my iPhone.
I used to write it down manually. Now I use an iphone app called fitlist. You can write your program out and save routines, and as you log each set it walks you through your workout. Rest timers in between sets and all. Very easy to go back and look at old workouts, even if it’s just to see how you’re progressing on assistance work. Saves stats and shit too. It’s very useful.
So now I track my workouts with that. I just update the routines main work to align with my current week/wave’s reps and % every week. The rest takes care of itself.
That sounds pretty cool man, I guess I need to get with the times more Lol I'm just so use to using a big A4 Desk diary and entering into the day warm up sets/working sets and how each felt etc if there were problems and orals used that sort of thing. Kinda look forward to it after lol Its a ritual
Yea I definitely like the note taking aspect of it. That’s why I like fitlist. You can keep notes in it as well (although to access them you have to go into the workout.)
Honestly I just like that it has the rest timer baked into sets after I record it.
What the OP is talking about is completely different though. Looks like an app for people just getting into working out and gives you premade cookie cutter routines that you can do around the house with body weight and what not
I am currently using JEFIT, with the paid version you can do really everything, it is very detailed.
I'm holding out for Appletics where I workout on my phone and watch my avatar get ripped.
