+ 7 Is the cycle or the recovery more important?
While a cycle is a great time to get those beach bodies, is it the most important part of the plan? The success of a cycle is dependent on first of all diet, and then our efforts inside the gym, how we manage levels of each factor like test, estro ect & also our pct.
All of these are important factors in our goals, but did you know the recovery time & what you do during time off is just as important?
We have to take everything into consideration when we’re trying to reach our goals & make sure to prioritize accordingly. What good is all the work & effort on cycle if your body has no recovery & the same efforts in each factor are not given the same consideration or effort? Time off is as important & too many neglect the importance & fail to remember the long term goal. Risk vs reward is often failed to be measured! It’s all the little things that we do that helps us to achieve the overall goals.
There are 52 weeks in a year. Time on cycle = Time off cycle if we practice what we preach. Most cycles vary between 8 weeks to 20 weeks depending on the compound & the ester. So, if we are using long esters, we have a maximum of TWO cycles per year. If we do short esters, we have a max of THREE maybe FOUR depending on the length of cycle.
The time off cycle & what you do during this time is just as important as the time on!!
There’s no magic & no shortcuts. AAS is just a tool to help us achieve our goals, but it’s wasted money & time if not done correctly!!
BE SAFE & KEEP GRINDING

JayD718Very well written with many excellent points! Too many people think that AAS are these magical compounds that will change them into superman, without realizing all of the hard work it takes in the gym, and just as importantly out of the gym! Average people who don't use any AAS, don't give us credit for, or respect all the hard work that we do not only in the gym, but also maintaining a healthy diet, the lifestyle restrictions, keeping our bodies in hormonal balance through the use of different ancillaries, not indulging in alcohol or drugs(most of us anyhow), some of us who use various vitamins and health supplements, making sure we get adequate rest, and last but definitely not least, an effective PCT that many AAS users don't put enough thought and planning into. Also, everthing else we all do that goes into using AAS in a responsible and efficient manner, with minimal side effects.
Again, I really like the way you put this post together JARHEAD2. You made some excellent points, and put them all together in a very intelligently, and effective way to reach people.
Salute,
JayD
Thanks JD & thanks for the response! I was starting to wonder since I wasn’t getting many responses!! Lol
Appreciate ya bro
basskiller89Agree X2!!
I am now a firm believer that recovery is equally if not more important. I've never had any issues running test and at high dosages. I recently tried to squeak a second cycle after a very short PCT and it hit me like a brick. If I had of taken the months to properly recover I'm sure I would not have had the issues I've been experiencing recently. As a result my cycle ended today and proper PCT is lined up. Listen to your body and cycle with proper protocols, make sure to take bloods and keep it safe. I'm thankful to have the support of everyone on here and happy to share my experiences with the younger generations of guys getting into the gear game
I’d love to see some other views here.... this post has been viewed 108 times with 2 responses lol..
Well said bro!
A lot of guys I know don’t follow this time on -=time off or pct like they should.
I try and tell them to do more research but like many people they are hard headed and will probably have to learn on their own!
Thanks bro!!
Well said brother.. I'm a firm believer in pct is just as if not more important than the cycle itself... what's the point in making great gains if you just lose them all after... Never made sense to me.. hell I never even used gear till I truly plateaued out.. and not a plateau that changing diet training ect couldn't fix a true plateau where I felt I had maxed out my natural potential for the most part.. good post+1
Yes sir!!!
