Thoughts on proviron during pct
So guys it's in the title. Looking for some info off the vets that have added Provi in to pct?
From what I have come across running at 25mg daily has some great benefits. I'm one of these guys that feels like shit throughout pct I'm really looking at trying to keep the libido up and have that better well being feeling. From what I have read I understand proviron has a very high binding affinity to SHBG. Which reduces free floating testosterone , synthetic or naturally We want to try and raise testosterone levels during PCT, so we attain the gains we have achieved whilst cycling. So... it would seem logical to use a compound that has a high binding affinity to SHBG during PCT, right? As Proviron has one of the highest binding affinites to SHBG which would help in increasing the chances of attaining gains aswell as improving the sex drive. Also from what I have read is that Provi at low doses will not affect your HPTA.
I am currently running test and eq for around 22 weeks and want to recover as well as possible and most effectively
This is what I have planned
Nolva 40,40,20,20,20
Clomid 100,100,50,50,25
Provi 25,25,25,25
Please feel free to chime in guys also if there are some studies you would like to post then much appreciated

On basicstero it clearly says don’t take it for pct .. here’s their notice:
WARNING: some people use proviron as a PCT drug and report that it helps them to recover faster and feel better. This is a deceitful mistake. Proviron is a DHT-derivative; using it during PCT is the same as if you used oxandrolone or stanozolol to restore your endogenous testosterone - both are also DHT-derivatives. Proviron replaces testosteron and provides similar effect on the body, therefore you might feel mentally/sexually better, but only within the period you are using it. In fact, it continues to suppress your HPTA (not violently, but still suppress). If you are running proviron within PCT you are just delaying your HPTA restoration. You should not use proviron if you want to completely recover after a cycle!”
Don't do it, you will regret it. I tried it, it will suppress.
I have only just seen this. I was going to hit you up as I saw you was planning it a few years ago. Yeahh I have decided to just go the standard pct protocol and play it on the safe side
JamesClapperI agree , I was going to use one of those "all in one" pct with clomid, nolva and proviron , but the more I thought about it , it made no sense.
RivaI'm quoting this from someone else (see quote below my story), I'm too lazy find the actual research. But it comes down to when you use it, it won't shut you down when your hormones are all normal. But after a steroid cycle thats far from the case. Also in my own experience I've used proviron during pct and after and it definitely made recovery longer. So I would advise against it. On cycle it's awesome though. I usually use it half way in when estrogen starts acting up.
The quote (credits to the original poster):
"Proviron isn't Suppressive to Low or Normal ~ LH & FSH ~ only High.
Note the Underlines from this Clinical Study.
Two hundred fifty subfertile men with idiopathic oligospermia (count less than 20 million/ml) were treated with mesterolone (100-150 mg/day) for 12 months. Seminal analysis were assayed 3 times and serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) luteinizing hormone (LH) and plasma testosterone were assayed once before treatment and repeated at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months after the initiation of treatment. One hundred ten patients (44%) had normal serum FSH, LH and plasma testosterone, 85 patients (34%) had low serum FSH, LH and low plasma testosterone. One hundred seventy-five patients (70%) had moderate oligospermia (count 5 to less than 20 million/ml) and 75 patients (30%) had severe oligospermia (count less than 5 million/ml). Seventy-five moderately oligospermic patients showed significant improvement in the sperm density, total sperm count and motility following mesterolone therapy whereas only 12% showed improvement in the severe oligospermic group. Mesterolone had no depressing effect on low or normal serum FSH and LH levels but had depressing effect on 25% if the levels were elevated. There was no significant adverse effect on testosterone levels or on liver function. One hundred fifteen (46%) pregnancies resulted following the treatment, 9 of 115 (7.8%) aborted and 2 (1.7%) had ectopic pregnancy. Mesterolone was found to be more useful in patients with a sperm count ranging between 5 and 20 million/ml. Those with severe oligospermia (count less than 5 million) do not seem to benefit from this therapy."
Proviron is prescribed to men to increase their sperm count as well as increase there chance of having children, hence a fertility drug. If increases that, then wouldn’t it make a great PCT addition at 25mg daily? I’ve always ran proviron suing PCT. I have no bloods to prove anything but my PCT goes well, I lose a lot of water weight on PCT.
This was my thoughts exactly but going off of what the guys are advising I may have to leave the Provi this time around. It's a funny one when it comes to Provi there are so many different opinions. The main reason is for the sex drive if I'm honest. I go from a sex crazed maniac on cycle to feeling half dead when running pct haha
RivaWhat does your pct look like? Have you tried a HCG blast before going into pct?
RivaThe problem is that it's masking what's really happening. Libido is probably still all good? That might be because you're on proviron. But is that the proviron working or are you really recovering and is your libido coming back? There is no way of knowing because of the masking effect.
Hello Sir,
Want to use Proviron, that's not a problem but do not call it a PCT because it is not, you are extending your cycle Sir.
Regards
50 mg a day for 4 weeks shut me down when I wasn’t on cycle and my friend took it at that amount too off cycle and got some gyno in his right chest. Use it only on cycle bro-
I dont like it during PCT. Proviron is a anabolic steroid, it can hinder the ability to recover
your natural HPTA. Quite the opposite of PCT goals. Only use it during a cycle.
Give your lipids a rest.
RustyhookerNo. It causes shutdown. Several vets ran it with bloods during pct with not a full recovery. Other vets ran and posted bloods using it as a bridge and test levels dropped significantly. Theres a stickie on it. And its still a hormone.

I wouldn't risk running it during PCT.
RustyhookerExactly.
I used provi in a pct a few yrs ago 2015, I believe I used 50mg day, anyway it basically doubled the recovery time for me....cycle was 500test e dbol kicker, pharmacy clomid nolva....ran the provi from last pin of cycle thru pct so 6 wks... had all the sides of low t... tired, sleepy all the time, moody as hell, ( I remember this cuz the wife still brings it up as ammo lol)....did bloodwork about a month after that and sure as shit levels were in the basement... not completely shut down but nowhere near pre levels..... haven’t used it in pct since and have recovered fine .... now this is simply my experience with it, there are some very good threads on it here you should check out.....
Rustyhooker^^^^yup. Old tests for good info. +2
I was just going over some mate. It seems to be a 50 50 split right down the middle! Now I was reading one of eds forum posts from 4 years ago and pale stated back then that he was planning it for his pct. I may hit him up and see what he found with it also. There is alot of conflicting info around and no one seems to have the answer haha I can't even find bloods! Some guys say no way some guys are saying go for it. Others recovered amazingly and then others it has hinderd recovery. I know a guy that competes at a really high level and he swears by it but I just wanted to hear the thoughts from the community as well. Thanks for the info! I have spoken to a few vets and both have totally different views!
Well it’s definitely a no go for me...prepare yourself for a possible long recovery
Getting bloods done is muy importante!
Hope it works out for you
Provi is still suppressive...so it will wreck your PCT
I have read only in high doses. Could post more info?
RivaRead my post
I would think even 25mg/day would be risky, everything I've read says no provi during pct, I wouldn't take a chance on messing up the restart, could cause serious loss of gains from cycle.
