Confused on what to do

ad

Okay so I do have a history of allergies. I wake up in the morning and have a small amount of green and cough. I already had tammaflu and amoxicillin. So change. I feel fine besides that maybe a small dry non productive cough once in a while. When I Claritin D does help a lot. So I’m thinking it’s just allergies

I waited a 2 weeks to start my cycle after all this started. What do you guys think about starting.

Literally going through the exact same thing........

2 chest infections in 20 days. The first lot cleared it for say 3 days then back to square one and now one day left on my next antibiotics and it still hasn't cleared.

I've had flu symptoms since Dec 23rd and now it looks like my antibiotics aren't working but on a plus side my lungs are in top condition

Flonase is over the counter now and works pretty well for me. Like, really well.

Makwa's picture

My general doc prescribed me flonase for my sinus issues. Just made it 10x worse. Told my ENT doc about it and he said if you use flonase when your sinuses are inflamed it will make them real angry were his words. If I can get my sinuses back to normal first he said it is great for controlling allergies then. He gave me a bunch of other nasal sprays to tame the inflammation then I can get on the flonase.

DfromPhilly's picture

Damn. Good info brother. I've admittedly never had it that bad. So it's perfect for me. Didn't realize it could be counterintuitive. Thanks for sharing

Supposed to be the bee's knees for allergies but dang as soon as I used it my sinus swelled completely shut and couldn't breathe through my nose. Things are getting somewhat better so I am hoping to get on it fairly soon.

DfromPhilly's picture

Good luck man. I hope you can try it soon, i'm interested to hear how it goes. It's completely changed the way I look at the fall season. I love it now lol.

PS. went to thumbs up you and hit myself by accident... that's like the second time I've done that in the past week. At least we can't give ourselves karma lol.

I probably have the worst sinuses a person can have. Allergies and everything else too. Things were really bad this year with my sinuses. Blood everytime I blew my nose and thick discharge along with it. Constant congestion due to swelling of nasal passages to the point I couldn't sleep at night because I could barely breathe. Headaches pretty common also. Went on two courses of antibiotics to try and clear things up. Didn't do much except tear up my stomach and make it hard eat, which sucks when bulking. Finally had to go to ENT doc and got a CT scan also. Nothing structrually wrong with sinuses which is good but apparently my allergies were really kicking my ass. Best thing I ever did was buy this little gadget that washes out my sinuses. It is called a SinuPulse. I used it 3-4 times a day and it flushes all kind of crap out of your sinuses. I can finally breathe again and the blood when I blow my nose has been significantly reduced. I highly recommend it if you have sinus issues. My ENT doc also gave me several OTC nose sprays to use if you are interested. If you are just having the colored discharge in the morning that is probably not an infection. As the mucus sits in your sinuses over night the bacteria grows and results in some colored discharge which is normal. Now if it is always colored and not just in the morning then you likely have an infection.

That was great info. Yes it’s only green in AM. I’ve been on mucinex for two days and 0 colorred dicjarge during the day. So I’m pretty confident starting my cycle next week.

mrbones's picture

Hey brother, thanks for asking Achilles is 90% better. No pain and workouts are rockin! Read through the thread here so confusing on what’s going on been to doc gave amoxicillin didn’t do a thing. Only thing that’s seems to clear it is Claritin D. Also took mucinex today to see if I had chest congestion. I coughed a little bit but literally 0 green came out all clear mucus. So I’m heavy on the side of allergies at the moment. Also no fever and energy is great

mrbones's picture

Yea I’m def being careful. I’m like 80% sure after today it’s sinus. But gonna finish antibiotics and wait a week to start my cycle. Do you remember the pics I posted when I first got on here? I’ve stuck to a good diet and and exercise. Despite my injury I’m down almost 45lbs!

3000-5000mg a day vitamin C and ZMA. I have not a shred of scientific data to support this but it has, always worked for me as well as had other benefits. Also if you check out what various big name pros (today's and in the past) have done you will find similar to this. Good luck.

I’m a huge proponent of vit C I take it twice a day.

Calrizzian's picture

I personally find a a pack or three a day of Paul Malls or Marlboro Reds do the trick- will clear ya up in no time brotha man!!!!

In all seriousness- I’d suggest as Ranger stated Muscinex to break up the mucus faster to clear out, ask your doctor about singulair as well- it helps keep you dry and allergy free year round no matter the season. Also make sure you’re getting plenty of fluid/water- that’s crucial.

Also, nutrition is vital as well- veggies, fruits, etc.

You CAN take 1-2g of Vit C a day, but it’s been shown to not have any positive correlation to ridding you of sickness any faster in a multitude of tests/trials- however I still take it when I’m sick thiugh alongside ZMA, b12, and D3 (I take them daily as it is, but make damn sure I do when I’m sick)

Since it’s upper respiratory/neck down I’d refrain from the cycle and honestly training if you can hold yourself to taking a few days off. If it was a head cold you’d be good to go 9 times out of 10 to lift. Rather be safe than sorry and prolong the illness.

If you’re not making progress by beginning of next week, make a doc appointment.

Keep on keepin’ on homie!

Thanks for the suggestion I used mucinex max and had a small cough and 0 green come out. It was a great suggestion and honestly now I’m 80% sure it’s a sinus thing.

I get sick easy bro take 1000mg vit c once a day

Any coloration of the mucus signals infection.

As a previous thread recommended, I would be wary of potentially hazardous mold in your home or workplace so be wary.

Also , always wait until fully recovered and moving full throttle before even attempting to bring exogenous hormonal compounds in to the equation.

For now rest, relax, consult your doctor, make sure your diet and supplementation is on point, and if anything increase your dosage of essential vitamins and minerals. B-12, C, and Zinc to be especially mindful of.

Any mould/mildew in the house? Anything sneaky behind wallpaper or anything like that? It's the time of year for it.

Any history of milk alergies... even from back in childhood? Green mucus would be fairly common with dairy alergies...

I use nasinex year round but I agree with below. If it’s green it’s an infection.

Hello Sir,

I would definitely recommend to fully recover Sir, you probably know that already anyway, just want us to confirm this. Best time to kick of with the hormones supplements is when your body in full homeostasis state for productive results.

Green is not allergies. Thats prob an infection but I'm no dr, only to my kids. There is a lot of bad shit going around thus year and anabolics can lower your immune system. Check with your dr, may need more rest and meds. Good luck

If you're coughing up green stuff go to the doctor. Hold off from running any AAS until you're better. If you're coughing up green phlegm, it could just be a simply lung/chest infection, or maybe you're just getting a cold. Doesn't sound like allergies though. The doctor may end up giving you 2-3 weeks worth of antibiotics. You don't want to start a cycle if you're sick though. Hope you feel better. Remember everyone how important washing your hands/other things is to help prevent the spread of germs

IrishWOLFhound's picture

I waited a 2 weeks to start my cycle after all this started. What do you guys think about starting.

I'd wait until your feeling 100% , when I get a chest infection its always accompanied by green phlegm and a cough and wheezing when I breathe but antibiotics sort it within a week but you've already tried antibiotics so I'm not sure .

RangerVet's picture

Are you weezing breathing out? Can you hear your lungs?
Short of breath?

mrbones's picture

Hey so I took mucinex today. Literally no green phlem came out. As I said it’s only in the very first thing in the morning the green comes out. I am coughing a bit but nothing is coming out except white mucus. No fever. No wheezing. Energy is okay.

RangerVet's picture

Good then I would say it's gone. As long as you feel fine. Good luck my friend

mrbones's picture

No thank you for your help.

mrbones's picture

Went to doc lungs are very clear. Energy is fine, doing cardio on the regular

RangerVet's picture

They xray you before or after amoxicillin?

RangerVet's picture

Are you saying u cough up green phlem? Or just a non productive cough? If your coughing up green junk that's a problem. And that isn't allergies. Let me know. Be specific as you can so I can help

mrbones's picture

When I very very first wake up. Besides that not even a trace during the day.

RangerVet's picture

Ok dark green light green, a glob together? What size

mrbones's picture

It’s a hard call cause I don’t just wanna be sitting around waste my time if it’s allergies. I have a competition in May I want to start cycling by for.

mrbones's picture

It’s about two dime size med green blobs at once. Cough during day is crystal clear if I spit anything up been like that for over two weeks. I’m doing 2-3 hour workouts and having no energy issues either

RangerVet's picture

Just advice. It sounds like your lungs are still getting bacteria out in the morning. If the rest of day you are fine. Sounds like your still recovering. If you notice it's less coming out. Do you cough up green yesterday and this morning? Is it improving size wise and amount? You may want to wait a week or so because it should stop when your lungs are clear. I'm guessing it just takes 24 hours for your lungs to be able to bring it out. Mucinex will help thin that junk to bring it out quicker. Just some tips be safe

mrbones's picture

The reason I’m thinking it would be okay to start us cause I’m running test e. That’s gonna take min 2 weeks to raise my serum levels. By then if it is something it should be long gone.
