I am fascinated by this match up. I believe Daniel Cormier is one of the greats. If he beats Stipe he will have to be in the top 5 or 10 of all time discussion. Im pulling for DC and I think Dana White set this up because he wants DC to win and thinks he will. Myself Im undecided. What do you guys think?

Yeah hard to see Stipe allowing the fight go like that. I guess Stipe just felt he would do better from the get go, but could see he was slowing down and just not doing the damage he expected!

That whole card was awesome!!! Except for the co main event. Garbage. I can’t belive DC KO’d Stipe!!!!! I was thinking he’d out wrestle him and win on the cards if at all. It was great up to point Brock Lesner came into the octagon to be announced as a fighter again and he shoved DC turning the UFC into Wrasslin!! Wtf!! Dana White C’mon Man!!!

DC started his career at heavyweight, he went 12-0 before he moved down to light heavyweight.
He has beaten Gustafsson (the only one to really ever beat Jon Jones round to round), Rumble, and Frank Mir.
DC is a natural heavyweight. I'm surprised to see so many people saying he is going to get beat so handly. My prediction is that this fight is impossible to really pick. They are both champions in their weight class and fighting within their own natural weight. Its going to be a great fight.
I hope its good. I hope they square off as much as they clinch and dirty box. We shall see soon.
Miocic, too strong, tall, heavy ( he is an athletic 246-250lbs... DC is a fat 235-240)
He has serious ring IQ... his last fight cemented him as the most intelligent HW yet. His jab is unreal and his cross destroys far heavier and stronger fighters than DC. Not forgetting his wrestling which has prevented JJ players getting anywhere near him.
The fight should play this way...
DC to rush with level changes and overhands or distracting crosses to set up takedowns through a pressure game (period).watch DC fade under thw extra performance weight over time and frustration of constantly getting stuffed.
Stipe will use the jab over time to set the big cross up. He should match well in the clinch but ultimately use that muscle to throw the smaller man away. He needs to avoid the unpredictable overhands which can end anyones night...fast. Probably worth noting Stipe can use his solid reach advantage to jab and keep the head back to avoud DCs counters.... Stipe is good at this.
Over the champ rounds Stipe may find DC fade and he will likely step up his aggression as he has done in more recent fights with a slightly different style. Thats where the fight will end and before the 25.
I agree with a lot of what you say but DC is a freak athlete. I will never count him out. He will look fat AF not having to cut weight for this fight but he move like a much lighter man. Also his strength power won't suffer because because of cutting. SM most likely wins. The line will say so anyway. But I hope for a good fight.
DC is a freak and I am a big fan! He hangs with some badass mofo's. His strength should actually go up... fat = strength and onlý a fool would count him out completely... that looping hand/ott hand... its a game changer. On a class basis he should be fast too of course.
I just dont see how his (amazing) work ethic beats a man as fast as, and with a counter defence olus jab, as good as Miocic. The other heavyweights he fought were all slow, Miocic is unusually fast af for a big fella.
Either way, both these lads are fascinating to watch.

To be honest I will watch the fight but in the end I have no favorite. I like the guy too, he seems nice enough.
